In my opinion first, you have to decide whether you want to invest in long-term or short-term. If you invest in long-term, Bitcoin is the best for you. because bitcoin is a very popular coin than to ethereum. Moreover, Bitcoin is less risk of investment.
I think you should consider ETH only as a short-term investment.

I don't think that there's a need to diversify them, both are good and you have just to decide about the size of their parts (%eth/%btc), that can be complicated but wrong decisions here are nearly impossible.

all cryptos are good for long and short term investing but based on my on analysis , bitcoin is more suitable for short term because its value can fluctuate too much while etherium on the other hand is verry stable and only increases for a certain period of time . Etherium imo , is also suitable for currency purpose as it is more cheaper and faster in terms of procesesing time . so overall you should alocate more percent on bitcoin because bitcoin is the one that can give you a huge profits . |

I highly prefer bitcoins because the market price can grow faster rather than ethereum that is not so popular and it cannot grow immediately so people should invest on bitcoins if they have a decent amount of budget. |

Bitcoin and ethereum are different type of coins and there is no real comparison between them. Both have advantages and disadvantages in them and one thing is that they are No. 1 and No. 2 currencies respectively. |

Ethereum has a lot of potential and lot of ICO are dependent upon ethereum. Its too early to say but i think one day ethereummarketcap and price with surpasses that of bitcoin and it may take few years to happen. |

Ethereum is used by all the ICO tokens but the bad thing is that most of the ICO are scams and this has given bad name to ethereum. Bitcoin is the mother currecny and it is being widely used everywhere. |

Ethereum has faster transcations time and is good technology. Bitcoin on the other hand is the king of all currecnices. I think we should invest in both to get benefits of both the coins. |

If i knew in 2017 the market situation in 2018, i would sold all my altcoins and Bitcoin. For now almost all alts lost 80-90% since 2017....

I read today that Tim Draper, who is the leading American entrepreneur, invested a whopping amount of $20million in Bitcoin in 2014 and had his portfolio replicated as much as $217million in 2017. If we just think about the decision of investing such a big amount in Bitcoin, we get the idea that this is something very great and that is the reason I am in favor of investing in Bitcoin, ETH and some other altcoin. |

Bitcoin is always the best bet because it comes with 50% market share which gives the surity that Bitcoin will not die until the whole market collapse. This reduces the risk factor which is prevalent in altcoins. Moreover, it is BTC which runs the market. Then why not go with the one which has maximum influence on the market and more acceptance and investor number.
