Well, even if each task is sent to multiple computers (2?), in case we have limited amount of tasks (as it seems to be happening now), machines that pull a lot of tasks and then vanish after processing few of them are blocking the rest of the reasearchers until the tasks time out. I'm currently processing tasks that time out on 4th April, so the timeout seems to be about 1 week? I think the deadline is based on the urgency of the task. I understand what you guys are saying but I don't think it is the main factor in causing the task shortage. Either Rosetta needs to have enough of a buffer or we need to have a backup project. In the most recent case I waited until all the tasks were finished and uploaded before I shut the VM down. I'm guessing most people would probably let most of them finish before shutting down if it was running out of tasks.

Ladies and Gentlemens
Onichan has 1606 machines and only 229 working. This means THOUSANDS od tasks which are stacked in his machines. This is a big problem for everybody. So do something with this robot.
Onichan has grouped/hidden 1606 machines into 290 now, probably reading forum .. He is locking thousand of tasks in this way

bible_pay so? ROBOT oni-chann and his destroying this concept with ROSETTA? any steps from your side?
There is no evidence that oni-chan has been able to disrupt Rosetta project task queue. The only evidence we have is Rosetta ran out of tasks Once so far, on a weekend, and had the tasks queue back up within 12 hours on Monday. The official response is: Let us make the assumption that the smart people at Rosetta will see that the scheduler ran out of tasks and will be more proactive in the future about keeping the task queue full. I will wait until I see another Rosetta outage before making any assumptions that Biblepay needs to expand PODC to include a backup project. Depending on how much time passes between now and the next outage, if it ends up being a short period of time, then together we can scan for a Christian approved backup project, and *potentially* code that in as a backup. But currently, the backup plan is to turn on Disaster Recovery mode 4 which is heat-mining in the case of an outage. (PODC does not have a second boinc project, nor any facility or mode to move into a backup project currently, and that is not slated in the development queue or planned). The development roadmap is very clear that the next project has to do with a Stratis proof of concept UI, and other finance related projects (IE due diligence for debit cards). We are also talking in the background about a huge potential project that could bring billions in for our orphans. I want to help the orphans with the most magnitude possible, so the development time has to be focused on the most opportunity-for-orphan per hour.

Rob, who is the lead on the debit cards part and what can I do to help. So on that project no one has actually touched it yet and a lot has changed since the last time I took a look at providers, but here is a good article on who is affected: https://coinvigilance.com/update-on-bitcoin-debit-cards-post-visa-ban-of-wavecrest/We might not want to work on this until our market depth surpasses more than 2 BTC per day in trading otherwise these providers will probably laugh at us. But if you want to secure a provider and a minimum liquidity level, and a gentlements agreement then go for it. Another thing to look at is XML Gold to see if it actually works. We are trying to advertise some type of interface for the unbanked of the world to buy groceries with their mobile BBP wallet, lets say they cancer mine for a month and wants to buy $10 of groceries in native currency with a debit card for example. If we have to put it off then we might have to focus on getting on the next exchange, in the mean time if that is the case you could start some kind of PR campaign to maybe airdrop BBP to invite new users in so we grow more first.

When you said "IE due diligence for debit cards", we are talking about the same thing right? Yeah, we need more PR. The community has voted for April to be the PR Spokesperson but I haven't seen her do anything. It would be nice if she could give an update on the work she is doing.

I don't think we can do anything about a situation like this, it really is up to Rosetta. Even if Oni was kicked from the team (which I'm not advocating at this point) they would still have all the tasks and none would be freed up. The issue in part is Team Biblepay is accounting for roughly 25% of the work of Rosetta@Home, and this happened basically overnight. So if you're the Rosetta managers, having to increase your work units by that much could be a bit problematic on the short term. We were on track to be 1/3rd the work done, which is a massive increase on what is typically a pretty consistent project. I do think it becomes a higher priority to see if the project can handle our work load or if other plans (backup projects) should be made. Even though it doesn't mesh well with the timeline, making sure PoDC works consistently, becomes more important in my book than new features.

Doesn't seem all that helpful. Cant run valgrind since its a windows machine Has this machine ever mined with a PODC cpid successfully or has it always crashed? The most important question: Was the CPID associated on the pool web site, or was it done from the wallet? Btw, what is the CPID please, let me do a search on its key signature, please paste the cpid?

This machine never worked right after podc CPID is working fine on another wallet. (same wallet.dat copied over after seeing CPID errors) CPID was mapped via wallet commands I really want this to be able to heat-mine only, w/o Podc on this wallet if that is possible.

biblepay why droped rewards on masternodes to 4500 from 5000? Masternode rewards have always been based on how many masternodes exist.

The community has voted for April to be the PR Spokesperson but I haven't seen her do anything. It would be nice if she could give an update on the work she is doing.
Shes working on the messaging of BiblePay, mission statement, boilerplate, and also website layout, and shes also done research into news organizations we can reach out to What should be our boilerplate: our 'standard description'? http://forum.biblepay.org/index.php?topic=139.0

I would just like it better if she posted updates.

Hi
With the probable RAC x20BBp requirement coming up - I have a question.
How secure is the wallet? Best practice for cryptos has always been to have a non-connected wallet with your coins. Now we have to operate with a large number of coins constantly exposed to the internet.
Sorry to throw this in at this point - but is is probably quite relevant.
TIA PM

biblepay omg ... wrong ... im talking about dropped rewards.... no how often your rewards received
If there are more masternodes, you will be paid less. The more masternodes, the less. wrong .... more masternode..... it is not so often a reward 205 blocks/ 186 masternodes= 1.1 reward daily

I believe Masternode Reward was changed from 40% to 38% with PODC (Proof of Distributed Computing aka Cancer Research), but we also got 10 minute block time fixed to 7 minute block time
