Just got a remark from someone. He asked which one is correct:
'Biblepay' or 'BiblePay'.

I always use the lowercase one, and the logo is written like that. But other users use 'BiblePay', and also, when I open Github, it says BiblePay in the browser tab:
https://github.com/biblepay/biblepay

I think capitalization "BiblePay" is prettier and more legible than "Biblepay". We here are so used to it, so it doesn't seem to matter for us, but for someone encountering it for the first time I think it's harder to read it as two words, because it looks like one word.

The logo says "Biblepay" indeed, but "pay" is in a different color, which makes my point above.

Also, I see it's capitalized "BiblePay" in this thread title here, on the current website https://www.biblepay.org/, on the BBP forum (mostly Grin) and websites like:
https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/biblepay/
https://www.livecoinwatch.com/price/BiblePay-BBP

But for example in the wallet I see "Biblepay Core" etc.

I just saw that oni-chan has changed his name to 'scapegoat' and I agree with that person. A lot of what is being said here is speculation until there is clarification from the Rosetta@home team.

Our system works in a certain kind of way, and maybe that system has some facets that weren't apparent from the start, but should we blame the people that use the system for what it is?

I think we should work on improving the system itself instead of pointing fingers at users of that system.

I agree. 100%.

Do we have any Securities and Exchange commission attorneys online that can give us free advice, or any cryptocurrency attorneys that know legal ramifications for cryptocurrency banking here on the forum, preferably an SEC/Crypto attorney that knows both?

I PM'd a guy to see if I will get a reply.

What about one of these:
https://www.lawtrades.com/legal-services/other-legal-services/cryptocurrency-lawyers/
http://adamatlas.com/?page_id=20
http://cryptolawyer.net/sample-page/
https://bitcoin-lawyer.org/
Well I was hoping we had a free attorney on the board but maybe we dont, anyway I tried lawtrades and they seem like heathens in that they offer bitcoin law services and dont accept bitcoin, then the "PM" put me on hold for 20 minutes, and went away so I ended up emailing Nina Kilbride, lets see what she says.  Maybe we can use an hour of professional services we'll see how much this costs.

Thanks for the list.

I'm curious i've received 2 transactions today  one for 100bbp, the other 20bbp.

Seems to be coming from the same address as the PODC paymants,  anyone else seeing these or any explanation for what they are?

They are Utxo amounts received at change addresses after a PoDC payment. There is no net gain or loss overall (except for fees). I usually sweep them back to the main PoDC address every few days.

Does anyone know why does purepool ratio behave strangely? It should show 'Amount of your shares required until a block was found in average', but if you look at this one for example (and there are many more) https://pool.purepool.org/main/miner/BS8B8E1tgT3jgtvtLZ6f7hWi9s5sxbohLU/ , it shows value of 11k, but this miner never broke 11k shares in one day, so it can't possible have 11k shares per block found.

The ratio is calculated not for one day, but for 3 days right now.  One day wouldn't be enough for most smaller miners to give a fair impression.

The system takes the amount of blocks of the miner and the shares of the miner for three days and calcs the shares per block that way. Then it compares this number with the shares per block of the other miners (there average is "100%"). In your example, the miner needs 2.5x times the shares to solve a block. To make it more fair for everybody, this miner is getting more difficult hashtargets because of this.
Most of the time, this is only temporary. The system checks the ratio every hour and set it new if the miner looks good again.

I don't understand this "The system takes the amount of blocks of the miner...". What do you mean by amount of blocks of the miner? Is this the blocks where miner has at least one share in last three days?

Mainly I'm confused with comparing for example this two stats
"https://pool.purepool.org/main/miner/BSHPizQ1MV6gXGnZDGTk6Jp4hBZRkb4HKY/"
"https://pool.purepool.org/main/miner/BS8B8E1tgT3jgtvtLZ6f7hWi9s5sxbohLU/" - the already mentioned one
How can the first one have such lower ratio when it clearly has a magnitude more power?

Everything after that is totally clear. The miner having more shares that it needs to solve a block -> means it has more power compared to others -> higher difficulty because of fairness.

I dont really mind if we work on it til we have the correct answer Smiley, so OK I see the calculation involved, good catch on the logical question with 36996 and 36998.

So the Sanctuary payment is based on the POW diff of the prior block, that explains why the confusion occurs:

36996 diff 4121  pay 4660 prior block diff=4014
36998 diff 3349  pay 4660 prior block diff=4013

To combat this confusion I added the sanctuary_subsidy to showblock in the next version, removed the faulty masternodesubsidy row, and I added 'exec getblock' which is just a shortcut to show a block with a height without prayers (so you can quickly scroll through blocks without reading the full screen).
So, now it is definitely clear. Payments are based on prior block POW Smiley
Thanks for those exec orders. I'll check it in new version.

Biblepay Operational Mode Chart (Disaster Recovery Modes)
DR Leve     Algorithm Name                  Calculation
Level 0        Heavenly                          UTXOWeight * TaskWeight * RAC
Level 1        Possessed by Tasks          TaskWeight * RAC
Level 2        Possessed by UTXO          UTXOWeight * RAC
Level 3        The-Law                          RAC = Magnitude
Level 4        DR (Disaster-Recovery)      Proof-of-BibleHash Only (Heat Mining Only)

We are currently at level 2 I think.

I tryed to setup up new wallet with Rossetta last couple of days, but I wasnt able to get UTXOWeight and TaskWeight > 0 without ACTIVE tasks. I made several times per day podcupdate. Processed (0) over 1 CPID. I had zero tasks for my server asssociated to that wallet.
Today I finally got 2 new tasks and suddenly UTXOWeight and TaskWeight is ok. It looks like if associated wallet have zero active task, UTXOweight is zero too.

I believe this is correct. If you have a new account and don't have any finished tasks yet, everything will be zero. After the first update with RAC (something 'processed'), you will get positive stats. And you only get Magnitude after the first payout.

You are right with new accounts. But my server already has some finished tasks, and my RAC is not zero. I was receiving payments from superblock until I ran out of tasks. After that my Taskweight and UTXOweight was always zero after podcupdat. Today I got 2 new tasks and everything is ok. I will check it when the tasks will be finished, if it happens again.

Oh, okay, I figured you had a new account because you said you set up a new wallet. Could you explain what you mean by that? Do you mean that you associated your CPID with another wallet?

Yes I associated CPID to new wallet, because I wasnt able to get UTXOHeight and no payments received. But it not helped too, until I got new tasks.

Yeah, I think that is an anti-tempering measure, but I don't know the technicalities. Maybe someone else can shed a light on it Smiley
