DR. KIMOTO: Non, no, that's not Hazw3rth.  He's a supporter.
We share values.  Everything is connected Charlie.

I'll go along with this Charlie stuff for a bit, although I do think it's adversely affecting the price of MEC.

So at the launch when it's claimed the client is a wallet stealer...
They know that others wouldn't so much as download this wallet without any source provided for say first 24 hours?

Enabling Kimoto, Hazw3rth and perhaps others within the inner circle to premine openly.
Am I on the right line Dr. Kimoto?

Anyone with half a brain runs new wallets in a virtual machine anyway, meaning anyone had the same access to mine the coin at launch as anyone else. Besides, this has been debated over and over again and a "premine" of that nature means absolutely nothing when the price was so low that you could buy up more than anyone could have mined for a couple of BTC anyway at that same time. I at one point had 500,000 MEC which I purchased for literally just a few BTC. I've since distributed those coins a bit more because I don't want to be holding such a large percentage of it for myself (I still hold quite a few though), but the point stands that even without mining you could have easily purchased a very large percentage of the coins for cheap, and EVERYONE had this opportunity equally. You can still buy a large percentage of the money supply for like $2000 or so in fiat. You *still* have this opportunity yet people are still whining about the *possibility* that a few early adopters might have a large percentage of the coins through mining in the first days after launch. It's ridiculous.

I mined and still hold well into 6 figures from that same very first 24 hours.
Working out how deep the sock puppets run.... Thanks to your input I'm getting there.

I don't really get what your purpose is.

lots of chatting, no action
I'm sure kimoto is working on stuff, however he's not a graphic designer from what I can tell, even though his site is nice

first up, I noticed, megacoin.co  domain was in pending delete
so i purchased it and forwarded to megacoin.co.nz

at some point in future I may develop, or happy to donate to kimoto if he would rather use than the .co.nz as a lot shorter and more brandable

next up, it's no good waiting for sites to start accepting megacoins without a way to even accept them for free

megacoin needs some donate buttons and banners , then the widgets after that

I am happy to throw 200 MEC in the pot, if others do too in this thread, hopefully a graphic design member will do the buttons and banners and we can offer them to sites
also kimoto can add to a merchant tools page on megacoin.co.nz

I would do them myself but am not a graphic designer

would be cool to have some buttons with different versions
some with the red coin, some with say the silver /grey megacoin on etc

for example, here is a bunch feathercoin had done which I think are excellent
more variations could be done, better than this I think as nec has a couple of great logos
http://postimg.org/image/5jy8ygpc3/

anyone else care to add to this?
thanks

Wow, great way to continue forward!

Sidebars, banner ads, donate buttons, purchase buttons all sound excellent  Grin

I am happy to donate 15,000 MEC towards this project pending outcome, but I'm sure you guys will be up for the task.

I can continue purchasing ad space with updated ads, some gifs, whatever your forte!

wow
thats a huge donation
it wouldnt need more than that I'm sure
tbh I think too much!

see how it goes in this thread
if you have that much to throw in, you could start an official mec bounty thread with it as a reward
along with the banners, donate buttons there is something i noticed few other coins doing which would be incredibly beneficial but would need this startoff artwork first

more to come on that

it would need a bit of coding, i think I know someone on here who can do
so i would say, cut your very generous offer in half and hang onto the other half for this

I will post in abit about what I think will need doing and again, al these things can be added to kinmotos main site when done

well, keep in thread for time being I think maybe
see what community come up with

I do know that member: ohiwastedmylif
is a very talented designer, have seen his work in other parts of forum
and he was pretty much first person to post in this thread apart from kimoto and has megacoin in siggy etc
so does anyone know him well enough to private message him and alert him to bounty?
would be a good start I think

good sugestion, even better if kimoto manages to just buy a cyrillic domain with .ru suffix for search engines
I am sure he knows how to autotranslate site as he has the chinese site, and also knows about IDN domains which are the specialised ones for countries not using our English alphabet, like Russia also

megacoin chinese site
www.美卡币.com

copy and paste which goes to: http://www.xn--hlr20wf80a.com/

First draft of purchase buttons. Let me know what you guys think.

they're good
but I think buy now is a while off , could be good for people who want to set up a store using megacoin as payment
now coinpayments has megacoin listed
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=276455.0

however, i think tbh domate buttons are order of day FIRST
as that is how things progress, websites using buttons and getting coins for free as the carrot

see post 2449
have image link there as to what feathercoin did, which is similar to bitcoin donate buttons etc
which personally is the accepted style and way to go
be nice if megacoins logo, is used for stronger recognition

again just imo

heres your average bitcoin donate button

feathercoin did a lot of different banners/buttons like bitcoin has out there

see image: http://postimg.org/image/5jy8ygpc3/

these are a good starting point for brainstorming imo

that's cool!
like that

whatever comes along shall we just see what 'turns on' the majority of mec supporters?

then maybe alienwalker can have deciding votes, along with the good doctor?
seeing as alienwalker is donating a lump of mec to the cause
and the doctor, well... he's the doctor!

he's bossman!

Ofcource cyrillic domains to languages what have it. I think its good if website detect from what country you coming and auto forward to your own language and page is in so many language what possible find users from community. And still there is good have country flag menu in some up corner where you can choose what language you want use. My english not really good but hope can understand  Cheesy

If you were mining back then, you should know at what block you started mining? As stated, the truly bargain MΣC was practically free on Cryptsy. Kimoto went out of his way to make sure Megacoin had a fair launch, so I think you would have to be completely ignoring the facts to make such a claim.
