Trading has not yielded the results I was looking for, at least not yet. I felt like I came up with a trading system that worked and I was making money but there were 2 problems that has made trading difficult.

1) One exchange I was using was Cryptsy. That exchange went out of business and would not let be withdraw my coins, so they were lost. The lesson is don’t trust exchanges.

2) I set orders high for sells so I can make a good profit and then rebuy lower. The problem is that Bitcoin has risen so high that my sell orders went through but the price kept rising. Then it was hard to find a entry point.

For these reasons, I only do a small amount of trading and I mostly hold.

So far i making a good profit but not huge amount but when i was start in trading honestly i always mistake in trading but i learn what i did before..
the mistakes that i didn't repeat is to invest in altcoin which is not good rankings and investing in ICO and there are lots of altcoin that honestly are made only for scamming purposes..
So before you invest make sure you know the history  first..
And ialways use the coinmarketcap if what altcoin has a big volume and marketcap which is already in top 20 rankings that i think best  choice to invest if you invest in PoW coins .
This is more in demand than Proof  of stake..  Im not an active trader unlike before right now in order to win in trading you should be a long term trader..

Yes trading was beneficial for me, because I get good knowledge before starting with ths domain, and now I have some experience about it. Always there is a risk involved with trading, because we can't expect exactly the chart , but if you take your time to choose carefully the coins or tokens to trade you can making good profit.

For me personally it has been quite rewarding every trading session, but that was mainly due to the fact that I only did trading at the time the market was heavily bumping up and down within a certain range repeatedly. It's an occasional practice since the market isn't always behaving like that, but I much rather make use of these occasional opportunities than forcing myself to trade on a daily basis, which I have tried for a while. Mistakes: Don't put all your $$ on one exchange. You should use several exchanges, and when you are holding coins, you should keep them in local wallets as much as possible. Third party exchange risk is the single biggest account destroyer out there.

Overall in some cases I should've booked a profit and left my money in bitcoin wherever possible as I've missed some big btc pumps while holding alts and if I had been able to ride them also I may be looking at 10x+ by now!

I earned a lot of money because of trading, but yes, i just earned fiat money, because i lost a lot of bitcoin value. Just look at the charts, a lot of altcoins have been decreasing over their bitcoin value.

Just like it happened with doge, from 200 satoshis each, to less than 20, and it is still has almost the same value than before, only that with a 20 percent less than a few months ago.

That is the only reason of why i did lost a lot of money if we technically talk about our profits, but yes, in that time, i earned a lot.

I have 3 years of Trading and this makes me get a lot of experience, there are times where I get a lot of profits and some when I suffer losses. it is a natural thing to do Trading. Maybe I've got more than 3 BTC from all the trading actions that I did, first I get Bitcoin prices that are at the rates 400USD and now everything has changed drastically, we will reach 10.000USD in the near future. Of course its beneficial to me at least. Journey was good I must say, there's ups and down and I'm still standing at still on the positive side. Good for you mate. I'm been in the forex industry and just made the jump to crypto as well. Forex is kind of slow as compared to crypto and I just realized it when I shift to it. Day trading is very profitable if you know what you are doing. Of course there are really a lot of mistakes from the beginning from forex experienced may have help us made more right decisions are compare to newbies who want to enter and think that they can get rich overnight. So it's really beneficial and would continue what I'm doing.

I really want to be a good trader so Im still making some good reads to know where I am making mistake instead of having profit.

I'm very happy to declare that my trading journey has been more than successful in these past years , and that i have made nice amounts of money that permitted me to afford kinda luxurious life . All of this was thanks to my instinct and that i believed in the OG of all coins , bitcoin!

During my trading journey i had only 2 rules :

1st rule ) Never sell bitcoin , just buy it .

2nd rule) Respect the 1st rule .

And thankfully this led me to make great profits especially after the rise from 5k to 8k then to 9k and proceeding till now 11k ..

I invested little amounts in Eth and LTC too but i instantly got rid of them and swapped them with bitcoin the day it crossed the 6k bar .

As for myself trading wasn't really beneficial at all since i didn't expect bitcoin to reach this height ( 11.1k at it's actual price ) , and i just traded it for fiat each time . If i would kept my coins i'd certainly have become much more wealthy than i'am now . Having a futuristic vision is crucial ins such fields , but you never know what'll happen next ( including the shit that might happens ) .

My trading journey started a year ago but stop for some time and back again for a few months now. I have tried so many strategies, followed some traders, participate in pump and dump (which is not recommended and I stop anyway because I just lose from it), tried doing some more strategy and research more. Some things I learned from my experience is that I learned more in losing than when I am successful and I make sure that I know my mistake why I lose in a particular trade. I have 3 years of Trading and this makes me get a lot of experience, there are times where I get a lot of profits and some when I suffer losses. it is a natural thing to do Trading. Maybe I've got more than 3 BTC from all the trading actions that I did, first I get Bitcoin prices that are at the rates 400USD and now everything has changed drastically, we will reach 10.000USD in the near future. If applied to the trading world then this is the advantage that we should make the best possible.

I first started with BTC vs USD trading but after a while when I knew it was not the market for me, I switched straight up to BTC vs ALTS trading and it has been fun not without some headaches in the middle.

Trade is not profitable for, loss 60% from my asset and still lock ( hold ) for 40% without know when to cash out ( price too low ). Yes, it's really been beneficial at my end when I used to do trading before. It really provides me a good earning month in month out. how can you say that it is benieficial to bitcoin holder? you know op is talking about trading here not investing and i dont think trading and investing/holding are the same.  in trading your actively trading the coins and you dont hold it either for  a longer time but in holding your only holding the coin and youl get a benefit when the price of bitcoin will increase.  bitcoin benefits is only available if a person accepts it and trust on it but also by putting an effort to work hard on it to earn it and make it a profitable way of living.

Most of my funds came from earning bitcoin and trading altcoins so it is my habit to check the coins to be updated about the latest changes in the prices. Trading is very important to me because it introduces me to different crypto currencies. At the beginning, I only thought that bitcoin is the only crypto currency but roaming in this forum, some people mentioned about altcoins such as eth, waves and etc and I got curious. They also mentioned about trading so I search about it and that is how I started with altcoins and trading. Trading is very beneficial because of the information and experiences that it will give you but of course hard work is needed here because trading will require your time and effort.

I find it very scary because I was always thinking about what if I lose rather than gain here because I am not an expert in analyzing the market and also new to trading eventually I can end up losing my capital. We do have same experience with that coin, I bought a lot inside Polo thinking that I'll be able to get some ignis the problem is I didn't bother to read

I've learned that the crypto market and the forex market are in no shape or form similar. It's just nonsens to spend most of your time analyzing cryptocurrencies charts . It might work with stable coins or coins that have been there for a while and are settled now .But with start up coins , which is like 90% of the market right now ,it's impossible to do technical analysis. Those coins are just news driven ,if there is a good announcement you are going to make profit ,if the news isn't that good or disapointing expect a huge dip. That's how i've been doing it ,only following news and picking relibale coins that seem to have a good plan and have an actual use IRL.
The second thing i've learned is to never sell at a big loss. If a coin went down by 50% or more and u haven't sold yet ,just be patient and hold. All coins do recover for a little while no matter how much of shitcoins they are.

Well, Yes. Though it's a struggle at first. I've made a lot of wrong decisions, moves, and strategies but after reconciling all my mistakes and change my approach (With a help of some few good friends that supported me here and my father as my mentor in trading) I did somehow generate a good amount of earnings. I am not a bitcoin millionaire and just earning good and enough  but I can already feel how beneficial it is. I was able to buy a good motorcycle that I really like. I was able to  support my mother who had a stroke in her regular check up and complete medications and at the same time support myself and my sister in our schooling.

There must be something wrong with your trading strategy, you need to evaluate on every trade you made no matter the result is a profit or not. By this way, you'll learn what is wrong and you'll know how to deal with it.

Yes it is beneficial for me. I trade based on the price but sometimes I made losses because  in times that I really need money the value is high but in the next day it is more higher than yesterday.

Trading helps me to reach something that I really want to have. Trading become my stepping stone to open a new journey of life, and it serves as my saving that sooner or later will change my life into something depending upon the value.
