You know what should stop? Noobs posting topics like this. As a newbie you must read not asking about things that are far from happening. Bitcoin is just starting to boom and the only thing that could stop it is by turning off the internet which is very impractical and nonsense to be even be suggested by anyone.

bitcoin is a decentralized currency which works based on its users or peers on the network. as long as there is at least 1 peer on this network who has the blockchain, or in other words runs a full node, and as long a he mines bitcoin, it will remain alive.
note that if everyone stops mining bitcoin and that 1 peer is left, the difficulty will also drop down and it won't be as high so it will be easier for him to mine bitcoin.
p.s. bitcoin is just starting, why would it stop at the beginning?!

Bitcoin might stop, but Blockchain-technology is here to stay. Of course, this forum is called " Bitcointalk", but it's used for altcoin discussions too. And although I believe Bitcoin can start crumbling apart sometime in the coming years, it's not the end of the world for this community. If you ask any of the Bitcointalk users, you'll see that most don't only hold Bitcoin. If Bitcoin sinks to $0, but other cryptos stay alive, most of us won't simply turn into poor street salesmen. If Bitcoin "stops", which is of course very vague, but not impossible, other cryptocurrencies will take its place. And then Bitcointalk will start focusing on those cryptocurrencies that took the lead. The marketplace will turn into an Altcoin market instead of Bitcoin market. Account Sales will go on. ICOs will go on. "If one person falls from the stairs, does it mean we all should?" I believe the answer is a solid "no", but I recommend you to think about it for yourself too and not listen blindly to us  |

Who will stop bitcoin? the only way here to stop bitcoin is when the world government interfere and agreed to banned bitcoin world wide. Strongly agree no one can stop unless those apocalyptic event happen. Even world wide ban of Bitcoin is impossible. |

Bitcoin network can't stop anytime soon because even if there will be one bitcoin node supporting bitcoin network and one miner mining it bitcoin network can work as normal. But there is no way stop all nodes or miners worldwide even if government from all around the world will ban use of bitcoin.
So bitcoin network can work forever regardless of its price and support.

I do not know what should happen if the Internet is cut off all over the world. Even banks use the Internet for a variety of operations. Do they themselves block the oxygen? I think we have exactly 5 years, so as not to worry about Bitcoin.

The question is 'What if?' well this where the wise will diversify his business portfolio into real estate business at the same time look carefully at the possibility of turning into alternative source of income.
however, the reality is that it is going to be difficult to stop.

My take is that anything could happen anytime anywhere. Since Bitcoin or for that matter all blockchain tech depends big time on the internet, although there are paper wallets etc, Bitcoin can possibly stop if the internet is brought down globally and all at once with not a single node active. Is it possible? Anything is possible. But is it probable and realistic? Personally I dont think so. If its a question of "what if" then the answer is to diversify into other altcoins and other asset classes. Some may feel BTC has run up a lot and may fall. I think if it falls or corrects BTC will pick itself up and stand tall.

How future will be stops dude. You will find bitcoin is operation everywhere in the world. I do not know why you are asking this stupid question here in the forum. Making topics like trolling the bitcoin or alts will be digestable one. You please find the best place for your own and go out of the forum first we all people will make money here and settled. No one can stop Bitcoin exact all the people itself. We all don't have the same ideas and decisions, so I doubt that it will happen. |

The only way to stop the bitcoin is by shutdown the internet world wide I don't think it will happen so bitcoin also never stops.
To keep the bitcoin going we need to keep investing on the bitcoin and miners are most important for bitcoin to be alive so people have to suppert bitcoin mining then other altcoin minings.
To use bitcoin as a normal currency we need to take steps to bring down the transaction fee then we can use bitcoin directly for buying,no need to convert into fiat.

I don't see any reasons to stop bitcoin and this post is nonsense. Nonsense because cryptocurrency is just starting, why would anybody stop it? No one can stop bitcoin at this moment so don't ask this . |

I see this question as a sensible one, far from a stupid query as comprehended by some of our community members. One of the reason is that its in a nascent phase because its starting off. Therefore, the world powers have more adverse influence on it in its current stage and could together decide to ban it altogether. This scenario cannot be ruled out. Another reason is its low utility value unlike the utility tokens that are very much needed in order to participate in the respective systems or applications. Take for example our P2PS utility token that is starting off now and is destined to gain momentum on our application and systems as the foundation and the systems grow. Or for that matter any other utility token that gives you the power to participate on the respective systems and use them for your benefit. The utility therefore in the medium to long term is high for utility tokens in comparison to other currencies. This is my 2 cent take on the matter.

Its beyond our imagination, bitcoin is hard to stop, possible if all the people using bitcoin stop investing in bitcoin, it will lower its price and boom, gone its existence. Or if the government of the country in the world will ban bitcoin but this will result to wide spread rally and protest that will maybe result to unnecessary outcome. If this hapones, well use our imagination, this forum also have the possibilities of templong in the site. Due to no one will promote or market their project. If you are just saying, if only bitcoin stops, other ICOs might replace it and be the best among the other cryptocurrencies in the market.
