can anyone enlighten me to the "coresOK" stat? (12th column of output in stat.log) - I see my chips range anywhere from 0-300 for this value, and it seems to have little or no correlation with the hashrate reported. hashrate at the pool is hard to judge, but i have the impression that low coresOK values result in slightly lower reported

Welcome back to the forums everyone.

I saw this post by buzzdave on Reddit yesterday.

The forum downtime and the issue with credit cards may have masked this... here is the calculation for payment for the 36 august customers who shipped late:

If there are no objections we will proceed with those numbers.

That's an awesome update. Glad they put pots on the v2 boards for tuning/overclocking. Can't wait to get in my units !

Did new V1 Hboard had add trim pot too or only for new Hboard?

Old V1 H-board design doesn't change.  V2 M-boards just don't offer much benefit to swap them out - certainly not enough to send your M-boards in and not be mining.  If you have a stable rig now, I *highly* recommend you leave them be.  Software will work fine on either M-board and I don't see a substantial difference between them.

New H-boards (called V2.2) work only with the new M-boards (V3).

Both PCB fab and assembly fab have been down for a week due to holiday Sad  There's never a good time, but I hope they return rested and ready to crank out some boards this week Cheesy  They have got this down pretty well by now and have increased their production capacity for our product.  We also have the other production facility going.

We can all send Pulse & Arrow some hate mail due to the rug they pulled out from under us, leaving us scrambling to buy inductors at any cost in order to get them to the fab in time to not hold up production!

I have another round of BTC refunds to send - I'll sit down and knock those out for those of you waiting!  FYI: due to the administration cost associated with refunds & cancelled orders, please be sure about your decision prior to sending the email request.  I've instructed Yvonne not to reverse refund/cancellation requests.  If you release your claim to your order, consider it gone the moment you hit 'Send'.

Jared had just posted the BTC credit/payment that the 36 starter kit owners will receive, right before this forum got hacked.  It seems there are no objections, so the amount will be rounded up to 1.25 BTC.  Those of you who already chose store credit get 2.25 BTC worth at whatever USD price BitPay is quoting.

Finally, I just want to set expectations going into November - I will not have much stock to offer during this month.  I definitely plan to have USB miners, but probably no kits for a while.  After that, we will take a measure of the market & competition and see if there is still a viable market to retail kits.

All the best,
Dave

I'm not nearly technical enough to answer this first hand, but:
Each chip has 756 hashing cores.  Each board has 16x756 cores running.  A few bad cores are compensated for, but if 20% of cores on a board are bad, you might see more errors and a bit lower hashrate.  The chips compensate quite well for this.

Hi guys - all pending BTC refunds should be done now - Kat usually does CC refunds immediately.  Except for a few wire transfers that I will arrange tomorrow, thats it.  If you requested a CC refund and haven't gotten word back, please check with Kat at accounts@megabigpower.com.

Some trolls made a forum-factoid about us favoring 200TH over shipping to customers: not true - I am waiting for product.

I don't make shipping promises until I know product is on the way and I have a sense of when we will have it tested before shipping.  At this time, I can guess mid-October.  I'll have something more specific as soon as I can.

Of course we are watching the KnC situation.  If there's anything to announce there, I'll surely do so.

I've sent you a couple of PM's about a requested refund, wanting to know if you needed more info for the wire transfer.... Still haven't gotten a reply. Last message was sent September 27, 2013, 05:24:13 PM

Still no reply. He say's he is going to arrange the "few wire transfers that I will arrange tomorrow", that was Sep 30th, today is Oct 2nd. Still no refund, no reply to several questions via PM, and no acknowledgement of these messages in the forums.

I trust Dave, but now I'm starting to get worried.  The normal fantastic levels of communication from buzzdave have dried up, right when I'm trying to get money back. All I want is an answer to the question "Do you need any more information from us to send the wire transfer, and when you do you think that will happen?"

and I'm going to post in these forums everyday until I get that.

I have a question in to my banker about reversing wire transfers as a form of refunding them - otherwise, I'll need full wire transfer info (routing, SWIFT, etc).  If you already sent it to accounts@megabigpower.com, I'll see to it that Kat adds it to the spreadsheet for refunds...sorry for the delay!

@Buzzdave - No changes to the locations of the M-boards (V3) mounting holes, correct?

Hi Dave;
Can you provide any details on the v2.2 h-boards? Dual regulator perhaps?

According to the Euro thread, they have a different style connector so the boards can't be placed in backwards.

EDIT:  Oh yes - and a trim pot for O/Cing that removes the need to do pencil mods....

I just read that, apparently a pot as well..

A little disappointing, a second regulator would allow these boards to perform superbly - and would only require minor board mods (i.e. copy/paste of existing DC/DC section and some changes to the 12V plane).

Well, maybe in H-Board R3 Cheesy

Dave,

Please cancel my orders for h-boards #882 (6 boards) and #824 (24 boards).

At this difficulty progression, I feel that these boards are just too expensive to justify this purchase.

I have elected to receive a store credit for my Aug kit, but it looks like I won't be needing it so please send my Aug kit payment to 1CorsCrBEcbncfnR7BVKadUZbHP7xNZCjJ.

If price of the h-boards does change, I'd be very much interested in buying them.

They are excellent product and your handling of the sales has been excellent.

Thanks,
af_newbie

Well I had two plesant things happen today..
First the forums came back up, and second when I checked this thread there was a message from buzzdave.

While I have not yet received the refund, I am pleased that things are moving forward again, and I have no doubt that I will receive the refund in the near future.

Thanks for getting back to me Dave.

Finally, I just want to set expectations going into November - I will not have much stock to offer during this month.  I definitely plan to have USB miners, but probably no kits for a while.  After that, we will take a measure of the market & competition and see if there is still a viable market to retail kits.

Does this mean those of us who already placed an order (for November delivery) and are awaiting CC payment instructions from Yvonne might not be fulfilled for the November delivery? Or does this simply mean that stocks for November delivery is not going to be replenished, so once it's gone, it may be gone for a while?

The products in the MBP store are all listed for October delivery. I believe that when Dave is talking about November, he is referring to the time after which all of the October orders are delivered.

Dave, will you still be selling old style H-boards in the future?

Has anyone received their late starter kit payment/refund yet?
