A newbee question: what does hardfork mean? Are the currently bought or mined coin 100%save, when the hardfork is introduced? Thanks for explaining.

OK... You have the blockchain, which contains the transactions in blocks of data, obviously in a chain..

If two blocks of data containing the same transactions are added to the chain at the same time, one of them usually gets "orphaned"..that is the network accepts the block which is propagated throughout the network the fastest...

However, what can happen is a fork.. enough of the network accepts a block that should be orphaned and adds to it so then you have some of the network using one chain, and some of the network using another.. This can obviously be a huge problem as sending coins from a client on one chain is not recorded on the other.. This is why Cryptsy stops trading when a coin forks...

A hardfork does exactly the same thing..

Lava codes into the client when you reach block number so and so, instead of retargeting every 10000 blocks, retarget every 10.. Instead of running on the litecoin network, run on a new one.. use this as a new network alert key.. Instead of putting out 100 coins, put out 2 per block..etc..etc..

What happens is the new clients change at block so and so.. but the old clients don't creating a fork that is hard coded to occur in the new clients...

You can see why lava wants the client not to sync, forcing people to upgrade to the new client.. If too many don't upgrade then they will keep an alternate chain going..

Umm obviously the old clients don't contain the new code that allows them to do whatever lava coded them to do, so have to keep running on the old chain...

Everything that happened before the block so and so stays happened.. everthing that happens after block so and so on an old client doesn't ... at least to the exchanges and mining pools who have upgraded...

Sorry, I am not so in touch at the moment. What is the problem with syncing?

To less nodes? Or nodes unknown?

I can (try to) help and organize more help with both.

Really excited to see where SXC goes in the coming year - especially after seeing the roadmap to merchant adoption which was posted previously.

Maybe this roadmap should be published on the SXC website?

Also - I can do a complementary article featuring this roadmap on BitcoinPRBuzz.com

Just PM me to arrange Wink

Copied from "DigDug" in the secoinforum.....

I'm proud to announce https://sxcwallet.com

Sexcoins now has an Online Wallet !!

SXCWallet.com is now available for a small beta test group. I will give BETA accounts to the first 5 people that Private Message me in this forum. The BETA accounts will be setup and have a small balance (10sxc) on them for testing. If you are not a BETA tester you can still check out the public areas of the site and I welcome feedback. At this time I'm asking for BETA testers to send and receive a number of transactions so that I can test the stability of the site. PLEASE DON'T send or store more than 10 SXC. I will eliminate these accounts in Phase II.

During BETA there will be a number of tweaks and changes to the layout of the pages as I get things setup. Please let me know your initial reactions to the pages and ideas for useage tweaks.

**BETA and PHASE II will only have 1 online wallet address and no restrictions on transactions. I will be tweaking this as the rollout continues.**

Phase II will be a general rollout of the product to the users. This should be available by the weekend if everything goes well. Phase II will migrate the sexcoins wallets off of my sandbox and as mentioned all BETA testing coins will be offline.

Tested a couple of pools. Now I'm already one week at http://sexcoin.ecoining.com/index.php and I have to say it is very reliable and stable. And it is great to have nearly instant payouts. I recommend this pool.
