I created an init.d-script for "sexcoind" to launch at Linux startup, 100% works and tested under Debian and Ubuntu. Maybe works/should work on other distributions of Linux.

Script is at:
http://paste.debian.net/72666/

- script must be downloaded an named "sexcoin"
- open the script, edit the settings (line 13 till 25) to fit your setup
- script must be placed in /etc/init.d
- script must be made executable (chmod +x /etc/init.d/sexcoin)
- script must be installed as init service (update-rc.d sexcoin defaults)
- now you can use script with "service sexcoin <start|stop|restart|force-reload|force-start|force-stop|force-restart>" to control sexcoind

Hope this helps to strengthen SexCoin network.

Please setup sexcoind nodes, if you run UNIX.

Can you provide a new link or just copy past in the forum the entire script?thanks

The fact that this is $0.019 right now is absolutely crazy. Who would sell off their SXC for $0.019? I wouldn't even offload mine if it went to $0.005. Sexcoin is a great niche, seriously is. I'd say its one of the most, if not the most undervalued coins right now.

as long as Porn Merchant adoption increases this coin will be more valuable. However as of now it seems merchant adoption is non existent.

Imagine a web porn company like Brazzers accepting this ? Value is gonna go through the roof.

of course, but before the coin need to have a strong infrastructure. remind what happened with the first increase of price? cryptsy was not able to handle the amount of transaction. that cannot be acceptable in a mature environment. for that reason now is still a good situation to obtain the coins at a resonably fair price, in future prevision

Is there a release date for the new client?

I'm thinking "soon-ish" if that helps Smiley

Anywho, 100 pages already ... seems like yesterday Littledigger and I were just trying to keep the network alive lol

Yeap from "give it up, it's dead" to "I just read in the Washington post"

Great news that it's mentioned in the Washington Post, meanwhile.................newbie and member of the public trying for two days

to get help to get his wallet back in sync, no luck there, must be xmas, or who cares about that he's not a miner,

come on guys as I have stated not everyone is a rocket scientist geek into code,

It would be most appreciated if someone could explain in simple laymans language the procedure for

getting my wallet back online PLEASE, PRETTY PLEASE  Huh

It was ok until December 13 2013 now all I get is 1 or 2 connections then 0 after half hour,

I have tried to download updated version , no good , unless I have messed up something, tried posting on forums for help no luck there,

Just noticed on Coinmarket cap slight dip in the price, I wonder why?

Sorry to be a pain in the arse but do remember their are millions of pains in the arse like me who might

like to adopt or invest in this coin.

Sorry to sound pissed off , but I am  Angry

I do not own some super duper quad core computer, just a poxy vaio laptop, windows 7

Thanks any help would be appreciated  Smiley

Guys, why it takes so long for my Sexcoin Wallet to connect to the Sexcoin Network? I have it already open since 2 hours and it shows me only 1-3 connections to the Sexcoin Network! I noticed lately it takes a lot longer until it connects with the network... this was not an issue 1 week ago Sad
Having the exact same problem. Today it worked for a while but eventually got stuck at 411838 with v0.6.4.1-RC1 on Windows. Got only 1 active connection. Anyone got a fresh list of addnodes that are working and reliable? Those I found so far on various forum posts haven't improved the situation very much - connections jumped up to 3 but it's still not syncing new blocks.

If you are having difficulties with connections, try this:

  • Make sure you have the windows patched client if you are running on windows. http://lavapit.lavajumper.com/download
  • shut down your client
  • delete your 'peers.dat' file
  • make sure you haven't turned off irc
  • turn on UPNP if your network supports it
  • start your client
  • watch it for 1/2 hour

at a minimum, add this to sexcoin.conf

addnode=74.122.234.52:9560

This is a known, stable node.

I'm not trying to question your knowledge, but
- is your sexcoin.conf spelled correct?
- is it in the correct directory?

maybe copy/paste here your contents of the sexcoin.conf file..

It's worked fine with both P2P and solo mining in the past, without changing the config or client. So I don't believe it's the .conf that's the problem.
