Is pumping the coin price up good for the coin or bad?

Is pumping the coin price up and down repeatedly, good for coin or bad.
From my POV, this will create volatility, but also boost trade volume, so?

Not a "coin expert", but... In the case of SXC it would be bad.

It's one of the few coins that is centred on commerce as it's function, and the volitility would drive away merchants, which would then reduce it's real value..

I think the value of a coin (value of a single unit) is not that important, in the end it is the market cap that counts. I don´t care much whether somebody pays me in dollar, pesos, euros or coins as long as I can convert it into my local currency. The market cap is of much more importance.

By the way, today I had to decline a customer who wanted to send me cash. I tried to convince him to use crypto coins. I especially tried to point out that he could easily mine  SXC himself, at least if he got the right graphic card. Don´t know if I was able to convince him.

So, if somebody could write a “Sexcoin mining for dummies” guide (maybe even with pictures) that could be a great help.

SXC pools could offer pre configured versions of minerd and cgminer. A lot of potential customers only got very basic computer skills and if somebody tries to tell them about batch jobs and command line parameters they instantly run away.

I like the prices to be reasonable stable, its nice for a customer to come back week later and not see a different price.

I know things are really quiet for SXC at the moment...

We could go announcing a new site accepting us, but the truth is we are trying to keep quiet for the moment.

A lot depends on the new client, and lava is determined to make the next hardfork the last..

I actually pushed for the quicker block time of 30 secs, but once I had an understanding of how it really effects the coin, I'm no longer in favor.. Sure it works right now, but right now we aren't carrying a load of commerce. It could be very very bad for the future.

Being quick is a great selling point, but it's of little use if it endangers reliabilty..

So we (being lava) are still working away in the background... Just going easy on the promo until we are happy with the product

I would have to agree that market cap is extremely important. At the end of the day, so to speak, each person or entity will want the ability to cash out their coins to their respective local currency or to Bitcoins. If the price at an exchange is .001 SXC/BTC, for example, and the person wants to exchange 100,000 SXC this would appear that the person has 100 BTC. However, if there is not enough market depth to support that transaction then the person is actually holding less money.

I wonder why people are overseeing sexcoin. And it is sex what rules the internet and the whole world.
Sexcoin is great coin with excellent developers and many places where you can buy thousands of real and fine products. Coin is also listed on exchanges, what more people would like to have?
I mean, what do you get for $150? only one bitcoin where you must wait for hours for confirmaqtions or you can get huge pile of sexy sexcoins hich are fresh and fast.

Hey, don't complain just be patient.  Let it grow nice slow.  Better for all us early adopters that way.
If everybody jumped on right away, that would probably kill it before it has a chance to reach its full potential.
