go for it . You seem to have a great name picked out already. We have had enough hardforking for a while, and have plenty of major issues in the pipeline as it is. (deprecating dual magic after new magic kicks in at 680K, btc.9 port... among others.)

Hi all!
Is there anyone working on the website? It doesn`t feel right that you should have to go through forums to get the latest info. Also, the website really need a new style. And why is Facebook never updated?
I believe these are quite important requirements to get SexCoin on track for glory, agree?
The forums at sexcoinforum.org has sort of become "the place" where the most up to date info resides. The website is slowly being worked on... very slowly, well, there's plans to work on it You make good points. Admin access is shared with whoever wants to help, so if you truly want to manage the facebook page and make it a real sexcoin resource, pm coingrl80 on the forums ( sexcoinforum.org ) she would love social/PR help. Obviously we're not just publicly posting the log in info and we dont' want to allow anyone to take over a sexcoin site/service and prevent any current admins from logging in, but we have no problem allowing access for real admin help. In fact we'd love to see a someone put together a new site or part of a new site.... or improvements for the existing site. It comes down to womanpower/manpower ... we dont' have enough. sxcer

Dear Sexcoin Community
we have an important announcement to make:
The KimotoGravityWell retargeting algorithm is vulnerable to a timewarp attack. It's effectively a 51% attack with less than 51% of hashpower.
To fix the vulnerability a new MANADATORY Upgrade has been released. At block 643,808 the KWG fix will be activated. It is estimated to be this Friday 14 May, noon GMT.
Here are the download links:
Windows: http://www.sexcoinforum.org/index.php?board=14.0
Source Code: http://www.sexcoinforum.org/index.php?board=19.0
Linux and MAC Builds will be available ASAP. Please check http://www.sexcoinforum.org for the updates.
Please upgrade ASAP and help us spread this news about the mandatory upgrade. It is important that everyone (Exchanges, Mining Pools, Payment Systems) upgrades to fight the timewarp attack. Thank you for your help and have a nice day.
Regards, The Sexcoin Forum Team
I don't know the ways how to reach majority of people using SXC local wallets but situation on the network is not good. 90% or more nodes my node was connected to recently are still v6.4.5 or older ones. At least make sure Cryptsy, Poloniex and other exchanges and also pools switched on time. In general, due to lack of interest to stay up to date and irresposibility, there will be many SXC users who will probably not switch even a year later.

In general, due to lack of interest to stay up to date and irresposibility, there will be many SXC users who will probably not switch even a year later. yes, coiner has contacted the pools etc. and we have word from cryptsy that they would update a few days ago. Not sure about other exchanges but I assume he at least tried. The idea is that we will basically force the users to update, since their client will be broken the next time they pay attention to it. I still see some 6.4.1 clients out there, which are not possibly working since 6.4.4 KGW feature went into effect at block 572K the seeder status below shows somethign much different than actual sexcoind connections shown below. I dont exaclty know how often it polls knonw nodes or does rediscovery but, from my sexcoind output there is 30% penetration of 6.4.6 now..... not good, but I think we will survive since the pools have migrated and exchanges. both block explorers are upgraded also so when people go to check they should see the proper chain reported in block explorer. [sxc@block ~]$ sudo service sexcoin-seeder status | awk '{print $12}' | sort | uniq -c | sort -g -r 38 "/Sexcoin:0.6.4.4/" 7 "/Sexcoin:0.6.4.1/" 4 "/Sexcoin:0.6.4.5/" 3 "/Sexcoin:0.6.4.6/" 1 version [sxc@block ~]$ sexcoind getpeerinfo | grep "Sexcoin" | sort | uniq -c | sort -r 46 "subver" : "/Sexcoin:0.6.4.4/", 30 "subver" : "/Sexcoin:0.6.4.6/", 23 "subver" : "/Sexcoin:0.6.4.5/", [sxc@block ~]$
It is after all, an emergency bugfix hardfork, so there is a balance between having every last person upgrade vs waiting weeks/months like we did for the KGW fork

The idea is that we will basically force the users to update, since their client will be broken the next time they pay attention to it.
It is surprising to me no one yet implemented some automatic alert system into cryptocoin wallets. If wallet connects to multiple nodes that report the same higher wallet version, longer blockchain and send some invalid data then warn user to check coin website or forum thread for updated wallet. There can be more criterias that need to be fulfilled for warning to popup (to prevent abuse) but it can be done and would help solve issues big time. Also, Bitcoin has instant messaging system where Gavin Andresen can send messages to all nodes on network, will SXC ever get something like that?

If wallet connects to multiple nodes that report the same higher wallet version, longer blockchain and send some invalid data then warn user to check coin website or forum thread for updated wallet. There can be more criterias that need to be fulfilled for warning to popup (to prevent abuse) but it can be done and would help solve issues big time. Also, Bitcoin has instant messaging system where Gavin Andresen can send messages to all nodes on network, will SXC ever get something like that? that's the alert system, the private/public keys were just changed in client 6.4.5, and we havne't had a chance to setup the code to send messages (that's not part of the clients, or public in general) so, yes, that ability is in the client and ready to be tested that's the alert system, the private/public keys were just changed in client 6.4.5, and we havne't had a chance to setup the code to send messages (that's not part of the clients, or public in general) so, yes, that ability is in the client and ready to be tested

Am I the only one that are stuck at block 645553, have the latest wallet 0.6.4.6. I get active connections to the network but not synchronizing anymore. Strange. Worked fine yesterday. A bug in the wallet?

This happened to me too. It's because the blockchain you are on is the wrong one when it supposedly forked. All you have to do close down dogecoin-qt, go to your "C:\Users\*username*\AppData\Roaming\dogecoin" make sure you allow explorer to see hidden files and folders so u can see "AppData" Then, delete: -blk0001.dat -blkindex.dat - the database folder -DO NOT DELETE wallet.dat that is where your money is. Make a backup if that stuff just in case. Then re-run the wallet. It will re-download the blockchain again and you should be all set. Worked for me on 2 different machines that for dogecoin but might still work

without understanding exactly why people are seeing the no space or dbfull error, I'd just say that the planned hardfork that happened friday was done with very little lead time, especially compared to previous forks. So there are quite a few old clients around and at least 1 or two miners it seems. Because of that , there are two Sexcoin blockchains being produced.... call them the 6.4.6 chain and the 6.4.4-5 chain. Cryptsy and most pools have upgraded and are running on chain 6.4.6, along with most dedicated nodes we know of. In theory if you simply startup the new 6.4.6 client it will mark the blocks belonging to the 6.4.4 chain as Orphans and move on with the 6.4.6 chain. In reality it seems that this is not happening. It could be that there is too much of the 6.4.4 chain synced onto the client and it simply won't mark that many blocks, going back that far, as Orphans. I'd have to read into the code to find out. What seems to be the "fix" is to delete the downloaded blockchain and redownload. Digdug on sexcoinforum.org has been looking at this issue and built a new bootstrap package. This won't prevent you from having to download a large amount of data, but it will speed things up since it's all in one file and zipped up. You can get it here: http://datajumper.com/Sorry for the current mess, but this hardfork was necessary to stop the KGW Timewarp attack that was reported on this thread a page or 2 back.
