Which is a safe coin to invest in the long term? How long should I hold it? Is there a risk that I might lose it all? I am a noob in cryptocurrencies. Help.  I was thinking Litecoin, is it a good idea? No, you will never loss it all because the price is not zero but you have chance to loss huge or profit huge amount. Invest in etherium is the best choice right now because etherium is very promissing altcoin. |

If my suggestion, etherum is good for long-term investment. people's interest in etherum continues to increase and if market demand is large, the value of etherum will continue to rise and that is good for long-term investments. investing in ethereum is a great idea but if we take a look with the price, I don't think that it's good to buy right now because it seems the price still wants to break the highest price. it is better to wait until we can see the price drops later so we can buy at low price. In my personal opinian, bitcoin is safe and then ethereum is also a good coin. But when it comes to trading, it is almost impossible to say that the coin is safe. Ups and downs are normal in crypto.

Just diversify your portfolio in case some coins flop others can save you ...I would suggest put 50 Percent in safe bets like ether and ripple ,xlm and play with low cap coins got 30 percent ...Give other 20 percent on icos .. They are more risky but if you pick them right much more profitable

Stop. OP just sit down and watch a bunch of youtube videos about crypto for a while before you jump in here and ask people whos bag you should buy. You wont get anywhere with that mentality. Everyone will have a biased opinion about some anecdotal experience and tell you something that is subjective and may not be true.

The team of the project is also very strong and will surely aid in growth of the project in the long run. You can expect it's price to be around 10$ within 2-3 years for sure. |

You need to read something about different cryptocurrencies and read about ICO campaing, if you will find good project and get your money into this project you can double you money in 1 or 2 vomnth after the end of project (from experience)

It depends, are you trying to hit a Home Run or just see a pretty good return? As many have said LTC is the safe bet. They have a ton in the works and the coin will rocket, as it's truly undervalued at the moment.
Etherum is another safe bet because there's so much development on the platform that thousands of applications are in the works on their blockchain. It's only going to go up and up.
LTC and Etherum are the top 2 picks,
However, a cheaper alternative is EOS. Again, the decentralized web is where this is all going, and EOS for developers is where it's going to be. Buy, buy buy.
SALT has hug potential too. Once the lending truly opens, you're going to see their coin rocket.
Long term, Verge is a safe bet, as it's cheap as hell right now. You could load the boat with barely 2k and HODL.
The beautiful thing is there are probably another 1,000 real coins that will come out and be announced in 2018, so the possibilities are endless.

I think at you have to think better before invest.If you research about altcoin then you will find a solution which one will be profitable to invest. if I have that amount I would invest in REBL,ETH,XRB,BTC.

I don't think it's good time to invest in ethereum, because its price didn't fall much. I would advice to look at BTC prices. As for altcoins I would say, XRP, XLM, TRX and LTC are good deal now. Now all the coins have fallen after New Year that you would get a lot of coins for your money. In a few weeks they will rise again.
