Hi,
I've been on the pool for almost a month, was happy with it, but decided to go solo for the fun of it. So, I left the pool on september 8. Now, 5 days later I still have unmatured and unexchanged coins. Also a balance too small for payout.
Today it looks like this : 0.00678862 0.00145724 0.00617814 This hasn't changed for 4 days now. It's worth only a few dollars, but I still would like to get payed for the work I've done.
Coins still mature and get traded, even though my workers are idle now, do they ?
24 hr update : 0.00753897 0.00169039 0.00617814 Still no action here... 2 day update : 0.00452325 0.00160782 0.00774463 3 day update : 0.00244469 0.00180253 0.00774463 4 day update : 0.00240382 0.00163520 0.00784254 Final update : I gave up. Pointed one rig to you for an hour or so, and voila : things started to move again. Finally got my last payout, now leaving only some dust behind, you can keep that as a donation for all your good efforts. ( pun intended ) Thanks for not adressing my issue and for not answering my concerns nor my postings.

As a test, I've switched 100% of my hash from middlecoin over to solo-mining Megacoin (MEC), even though it doesn't show as the 'most profitable' coin on coinwarz, coinchoose, etc. I'll be sticking with MEC, and here is why. They've implemented a difficulty-adjustment algorithm that crushes big hit-and-run pools, it tracks total network hash like a beast. Difficulty currently stays low enough where it's very mine-able, and still profitable. It's nice to have something you can solo-mine and not worry about difficulty going from 3 to 3 billion (and staying there after the big pool moves out...). Happy mining, to all of those who stay or find something else. i think it's an excellent choice

I did answer your questions. I fixed an issue with some CGB being stuck in the immature state. So those of you with a little stuck immature balance will see some of it move over to your balance.
Not all the stuck balances have been freed. Just the bugged CGB. The rest of it is mostly coins in daemons that I have stopped, that I need to restart for a bit, to flush out the immature balances.
So I partly fixed it. I have a lot to do though, so I have to prioritize. I think you (or someone) did bring up a valid point earlier about being able to cash out the "dust". I think what I should do is if you haven't been paid in over 3 days, do a payout even if you have less than 0.01 BTC, but over 0.001. What do you guys think?

Good idea, but I suppose it will not solve all issues. I still have some dust in immature and unexchanged coins after almost a week after quitting your pool.

My question was : Coins still mature and get traded, even though my workers are idle now, do they ? You didn't answer that yet. Well, the answer is : they don't. I had to start mining again after 10 days to see the old balances get matured and traded again. That's strange isn't it ? You did fix the CGB issue, that's right, Only after someone else had the same concers as I did. So now after 6 posts I got your attention. Too late. Anyway, my apologies for being harsh on you.

Yeah, they do. Should. There are some issues, possibly bugs like the CGB one, preventing some coins from being matured and traded. But it's not a huge amount, and there are higher priority issues I need to work on right now.

I hope this pool is mining digicoin right now....
I wish that there was more info available like a miners history. I think that would be beneficial to everyone.

I seem to have fixed it. We're mining DGC now. Edit: nevermind. Still issues.

I still have funds in the immature and unexchanged a month after I stopped mining here. Almost like you only get what you mine if you continue mining. Oh we'll. other places to go. One thing I didn't like on this model is you are always guaranteed to loose something. Everyone moves to other pools eventually or quits mining. You will never be able to zero out your account. Guess you need to know that up front. JR

Suggestion, Could you add a couple things to this graph (or separate graphs)? 1. An average profitability line. 2. Profitability vs mining a major coin only.... like a line showing profitability of your pool vs profitability if you only mined LTC 100% of the time.

At some point I'll make some better graphs. No promises when that will be.

Our digitalcoin pool is now working.
I've also put in a number of server improvements that will improve performance on high block value coins like digitalcoin.

I'm also testing out load balancing our hashrate. Randomly, some of us are on DGC, and some of us are on the next most profitable coin.

Wow! Very cool experiment. How do your calculate earnings? And do you rotate miners between the two sub pools once in a while or what?

Earning are calculated per-coin. So the people stuck on the lower profitable coin are disadvantaged. But it evens out over time. I don't rotate the miners. It would be inefficient to have them switch. The experiment is over for now. I'll be working on getting it a permanent part of the pool, and not just a one time thing.

Per-coin seems fair if the placement is random, but I'd think random rotation would be a good feature too if it was possible. Would switching at longer periods, like a half hour, lower the impact of the inefficiencies compared to the profit differences between the two sub-pools? Also, what happens when you leave the pool and come back again, or join for the first time? inquiring minds want to know...
