someone attributed the profits to DOGE, but I don't see how he could know. doge went up 50% in value today, and difficulty happened to go up from 400 to 600 in the past 48. we're not mining catcoin.

I suspect it's whatever that low difficulty coin is that we keep hitting. It hovers between maybe 6 and 9 difficulty. My guess is the unexchanged is mainly doge, and will be exchanged when the value trends downwards, which it hasn't in a few days. Sorry for being off topic with this post, should have said something with intellectual wankery involved - apologies to catswold et al. someone attributed the profits to DOGE, but I don't see how he could know. doge went up 50% in value today, and difficulty happened to go up from 400 to 600 in the past 48. we're not mining catcoin.

Quick question regarding cgminer. I reinstalled BAMT today on my USB and let the default settings run which gave me a +20khash/s boost per card. However, I did notice over the day today that I get like 10% rejection ratio, which with my old settings and lower hash I was much lower on rejects. Not sure if that is something with todays mining in general or just me. Couple things I was wondering about however.
Do you guys use expiry in your configuration and if so, what value? I know the default is 120, while mine is set to 30. How about the other ones like scan-time retry-pause queue sharethreads ?
Thanks!

Still having shares stop submitting after ~20 minutes like clockwork. No actual freeze with cgminer, just shares no longer get submitted at all, even as it continues to hash away.
Is no one else experiencing this? It's not on my end, I ruled out pretty much every variable, tried different versions of cgminer, et al. Something had to have changed server side, and it affects uswest, useast, and eu at the least (I didn't try asia). Tried a different address- same deal.
Meanwhile testing on other pools and it's fine. Hashcows for instance has no issues as far as this symptom goes.

I saw that someone on twitter has the same issue. How many people are experiencing this? Do you get rejected shares, or cgminer just stops submitting them? Edit: Could it be an issue with having a difficulty of 1024? Did it happen at the same time as that change, or later?

Edit: Could it be an issue with having a difficulty of 1024? Did it happen at the same time as that change, or later? I believe everything was running smooth with 1024 difficulty for at least a few hours, anyway. My overall WU actually went up slightly with that change. Okay, checking into it- looks like everything was actually fine for almost an entire day. Issue began occurring shortly after the payout for the 17th (Jan. 18, 2014, 2:36 a.m.) My own configuration did not change at all during this time. Cgminer continues to chug away as normal, except it no longer has accepted shares. No rejects, no nothing. Diff changes appear as usual, new blocks are detected as usual, etc- it just keeps hashing away, but entirely futilely. Not an "Accepted" or "Rejected" in sight. (Oddly, once in a while there is still "stale share detected, submitting as user requested", even though there wasn't an actual share to do that with.) As I normally have cgwatcher set to restart cgminer if more than 2 minutes go by with any accepted or rejected shares, I can watch via the logs the extreme regularity by which it happens, every 20 minutes or so.

I think it's just the high standard deviation the 1024 diff involves.
My rig posts a share every minute / MH/s. So sometimes you can have more than 5 minutes without a share. It's still showing correct values in middlecoin graphs.

If DOGE keeps going like this the payout will continue for sure. It is tempting to go mine just DOGE at this point, but no guarantee that the price will hold for long enough for my measly single r9 290 to mine enough...

Nope, it's not that. This is what happens to me. It looks like nothing is happening, except hashing, and then a string of accepted shares will come in after a while.

It's the first time ever that I have a non-shitty payout on middlecoin, now with the EU server. 0.019 BTC for 1.2 Mh/s

Today's performance thus far seems to be sucky! Looking for another where unexchanged balance will be put to use. Don't like that as it makes me paranoid giving way to false alarms

Here's something else that is odd, however, that I just realized.
Even as any trace of "accepted' or "rejected" disappears after those first 20 minutes, the WU doesn't just plummet, as it would if nothing at all was really being submitted. Instead, the WU does it's usual thing- goes down some, goes up some, fluctuates as normal.
So it *appears* that for some extremely frustrating reason, the report and display goes offline after that first period of time, but continues to function afterward in the background. Will have to confirm this.
Extremely confusing. Any ideas h2o? I didn't touch a thing until I started having this issue, so I can't think of how it isn't something weird on the server side causing it, but who knows.
[EDIT]
So just letting one rig ride 'in the dark' for a while resulted in this another half hour or so later:
Pool 0 stratum share submission failure Stratum connection to pool 0 interrupted Lost 61 shares due to stratum disconnect on pool 0 Pool 0 difficulty changed to 1024 Pool 0 communication resumed, submitting work Stratum connection to pool 0 interrupted Lost 1 shares due to stratum disconnect on pool 0 Pool 0 difficulty changed to 1024
And then it's back to Accepted/Rejected shares.
The plot thickens?
[Second addition]
I let another rig do the same thing as the first, and the exact same thing happened, down to the same number of shares lost: 61 and 1.
Extremely curious indeed. What evil bug is it that I stalk here?
Oh, and third rig just popped at 61 and 1 shares lost. Beyond coincidence, now.

Giving away to a lot of rejects to slower hash processing... Try to lower to 512 if you can, i will double the work on the server side, but it could "fix" this situation. Best Regards, LPC
