How long do QRK transfers usually take? I'm talking about deposits from pools to cryptsy or even local wallet?
I have observed that qrk.coinmine.pl -> cryptsy takes at least 30 minutes to even show up as pending deposit, and then another 30 minutes or more for the deposit to be confirmed.
And now I'm looking at payouts from http://176.221.46.81:8372/ to my local wallet and see a completely different frequency of transactions or rather hours of difference.

Unfortunately there is not functional QRK block explorer to see what's going on.

I was wondering if to be expected and what you guys thought about it.

Insane volume. Lots of new money is pouring into QRK. I'm getting a lot of emails from my blog about people asking how they can acquire BTC to convert into QRK.

People who haven't even heard of cryptocurrency before are trying to get into this. It's remarkable.
With this at the top of /r/beermoney I agree people are wanting a way into Quark: http://www.reddit.com/r/beermoney/comments/1rs4fj/bitcoin_faucets_free_vps_trials_mining_and/

I am trying to understand the description of quark.  I particularly unsure about how many coins is really available.  From this statement "Total of 247 million QRK will be mined in ~ 6 months, after that ~ 1 million QRK p.a. (~ 0.5% p.a inflation)", what does it mean?  What does the abbreviation "p.a. inflation" mean?

per annum

Thanks, so let me understand this. After the first 6 months there are a total of 247million quarks, 1 year after that, there will be 248million total, or 247 + 248 = 495millions total? my guess is 248millions, but I am not clear about the language.
247+1 = 248 Million

thanks

Doesn't that seem like a HUGGGE mistake for Quarkcoin? The few people that came on board to tinker with it at the start will literally already have about 99% of the coins that will be mined for years to come. How many miners of Quarkcoin are there?

The developer of Quarkcoin wasn't Satoshi - that's for sure.

+1

So the vast majority of the 247 million quarks out there are in the hands of a few people who mined within the first 6 months?

I doubt it, it was dumped to death at the beginning. QRK rather belongs to the people who bought it during the first months and to the people who are buying huge volumes right now.

Exactly correct.  When it was fresh and new it traded at .000002xx dwindling down to .0000003x.  Most people from the start dumped long ago and since it was cheap it was something you bought with any BTC scraps you had lying around.  Now it is well distributed among many and part of what makes it so great.  And the lightning fast transactions make it great too Smiley.

Can some of the developers please work on developing a Silk Road for Quark?  This will greatly help the currency legitimize and go mainstream.

We need somewhere to buy dope with Quark!
