mining at 700KH/s right now, so I am going to just leave it and go to bed.  Hopefully I have some Lebowskis when I wake up.  Ran out of checks and I need some half and half.

Well if I knew how to spell Lebowskis right when making my conf that would have helped a bunch!

Syncing now, thanks for the assistance, and sorry for the brain dead question!

I also added the two suggested by Bob with the ports but only gave it a minute to try to sync thinking I had messed up the file and reverted to only those listed in your original post.  Do we also need to update the RPC connect IP?

127.0.0.1 may not work for you. If you open a command prompt and do ipconfig, you can try your local IP address (probably something like 192.168.1.x unless you have a static adress setup. Don't forget to include the port number at the end as well.

Smokey, this is not 'nam, this is bowling. There are rules. Do as the dude would wish, and mine some Lebowskis! https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=260311.0

I'm setting up cgminer for the first time to run solo and wanted to ask if I had done it correctly.  It seems to be running to the IP address/port in the conf file and currently chugging at 224 Kh/s.  I saw one message when I started that "No suitable long-poll found for http://127.0.0.1:8245" however I see the difficult and new block announcements.  Am I all set or does that long-poll message mean I'm just spinning my wheels?

EDIT: This message seems to be expected when performing solo mining.  Hopefully everything is good and I'll hit a block soon to know it's all good.

No it sounds like you are good to go. You won't see much else except for new blocks and difficulty changes until you find a block. It will show you a "best share" value in cgminer.

Good luck to you  Smiley

Can we mine on Shabbos?

"Saturday, bigdaub, is Shabbos, the Jewish day of rest. That means that I don't work, I don't drive a car, I don't fucking ride in a car, I don't handle money, I don't turn on the oven, and I sure as shit DON'T FUCKING MINE!"

I'd say break Walters rules and mine on Shabbos. I'm having some inner conflict when it comes to the shabbos dude.

I put a couple of CPU cores on it in a virtual Windows machine (I'm on a Mac) and found two blocks overnight—oddly enough within two minutes of one another. Gotta say, it's pretty fun to be able to solo CPU mine and actually get somewhere with it.

When will LBW be on Cryptsy?  Grin
