In the next year ETH will overtake BTC as the number 1 cryptocurrency. I would unload your bitcoin while you still can.
I'm not sure ethereum can overtake bitcoin. Currently the price comparison of bitcoin and ethereum is very far apart. It took a long time for ethereum to get the bitcoin position which is currently ranked number 1. sometimes the price is enough to judge if a coin can overtake another coin , because many investors also look for the price the will not gamble for the coin that has no good value , many factors that must look if eth can overtake the bitcoin , like the miners , the investors for that coin that really has a huge effect to the price . |

For me is very impossible to overtake etheruem in bitcoin because almost the price of the etheruem is going dump but bitcoin is going pump so it's means etheruem can never bit bitcoin.

It seems you forgot about ICOs, which number constantly and dramatically increase every day.
And dominating part of ICO tokens are ERC-20, which definitely affects Ethereum price.

many people predict the price of ethereum will rise again and continue to rise but to overtake the bitcoin price and become no. 1 I think is still too long because the price is still too much difference

That would be possible because we all know that etherium is the best altcoin,but for now I couldn't tell that etherium could surpass bitcoin because bitcoin is always be the first place.

It's not impossible since any coin can increase its value and reached the value of bitcoins.

There is a big possibility on that. Btc is something like want to stable itself in making its uses in a specific use in crypto. Limiting itself in what can btc able to do.
While Eth is like a hard working coin that wants to overtake btc in the making future in crypto. Eth progression is very strong and very progressive in just a year. While btc now is in a stagnant place.
where did you get the word STAGNANT?do you really know what does it mean!?bitcoin had reached $20,000 for nothing?not because the price doesnt going up means bitcoin will be forever drowned,just like today blockchain frees becomes low,and in just few months ligntning network will comes out,do you think ethereum can get even 1/4 of bitcoin price?no not now,and not in the next five years |

I am sure that this year we will have a very good growth of the Ethereum and I'm waiting for it on the first place in terms of capitalization. Bitcoin will also grow, but it will slow down as it seems to me!

I think bitcoin is still incomparable because of the huge number of consumers in the bitcoon and many investors and holders just raise the price of eth but he does not care about bitcoin it's better to just hold on two ethics as well because there's It's also a good future to buy two for your profit

Well probably because the Bitcoin is the leading digital currency and it will be complex to overtake her another the Internet to currencies. It as about Euro dollar currency pair when it pulls for itself all other currency pairs. If euro up concerning dollar goes, means and all other couples will grow on which there is Euro. On Bitcoin sit people much and get it the majority today. |

ETH is one of the altcoins that is full of potential. I am aware that ETH will become more powerful but it can't overtake bitcoin. People are still prefer to use bitcoins than altcoins. |

ETH, although it is block chain 2.0, initiated the smart contract.
But I don't think ETH can go beyond BTC, because BTC is increasingly recognized by more and more countries, and ETH has only a growing number of ICO projects based on ETH.

Personally I think that one day we will see this, but I think we are looking way in the future. Remember Bitcoin has been around a lot longer.

Perhaps it will happen sometime in the future. But not this year. Only if something extraordinary happens, for example, bitcoin will be banned everywhere. But then all other coins will fall.

I think Ethereum can't overtake bitcoin because bitcoin is leader of all the market and people prefer bitcoin rather than Ethereum. Bitcoin is always no. 1.May be it is not possible in present scenario.

Nope, thank you Ethereum is important in crypto and more and more people are realizing it now. I believe its price will still grow even further than current price. But still, it wont overtake bitcoin, not ethereum not any other alts. Bitcoin is bitcoin, without it there will be no cryptocurrency as we know today. Other than that, bitcoin is the crypto fiat |

I think that this will not happen, these are two completely different two crypto-currencies. The Ethereum of this cool wallet, smart contracts, the platform for ICO, and bitcoin is just the crypto currency with which the other altcoy trades. You can not compare them.
