we just wait about it, not just ethereum, all coin can overtake bitcoin. only this time ethereum almost controls all members, because most members use ethereum for transactions, for example for bounty payments. so it's maybe in a few years ethereum can overtake bitcoin.

it is still depend on the movement of the price if bitcoin will continue dropping its price maybe it is clear that eth can overtake the bitcoin but as we know when bitcoin will comeback it will double or triple its current price so it its hard for eth to lead the crypto world when it terms of the value .

There are absolutely 0 chances for ETH to take over BTC. After all these ICO's cooldown the marketcap of Ethereum will drop down dramatically. It's not even the best platform for tokens anymore, the blockchain constantly gets clogged. There are far better platforms for tokens nowadays and people will figure that out soon. I will not close my mind to agree your opinion but for me everythings possible even though there's a path to take but we're not the moderator of it so it would be better to predict impossible done negative, but also we can't assure for that eth over take btc. That would be impossible or possible in any way. We know btc now is going down and eth pumping maybe it can reach the btc price. But it can't over take.
