According to NIST and ECRYPT II, the cryptographic algorithms used in Bitcoin are expected to be strong until at least 2030. (After that, it will not be too difficult to transition to different algorithms.)

I am sure people threatening with SEC/Police shit dont have shares anymore or something because otherwise that is the stupidiest thing to do right now. You will never see a pennie back that way. lets wait what the outsourcing does and few last deadlines be missed and then fucking do whatever you want.

The corollary being that that there are those who are holding out hope and will always say "let's wait".  There will always be more 'few last deadlines' ( how is that even plural? Wink ), some last-minute excuse, a "we'll be holding another Q&A in 3 days" that will be missed because reasons, etc.

At some point, people - holding shares or not - will realize that given the choice of not getting anything back now or not getting anything back 'some day', at least the 'now' brings closure and perhaps even some form of gratification.

Presuming you're one of those people holding out hope, what exactly are the 'few last deadlines' you're considering your personal cut-off events?

So I guess the Swede hasn't been in contact with "Sam" for almost 2 weeks, and hasn't even bothered trying.

What happened to getting a new exchange SWEDE?

From what i understand he has two phone numbers. Not sure if he has even tried to reach him by phone. If he has he should at least let us know that Sam has yet to log onto Skype to check messages, e-mails have not be replied to and he is not answering his phone(s). No news/update from Swede which is really disappointing.

i believe swede is hiding, and trying to shed all responsibilities.  Anybody who has been affiliated with labcoin will be doing the same.

He is already using another account if he is still here. TheSwede will forever be associated with the Labcoin scam that cost many dearly.

Is it possible to trace the swede to a a general location i.e. city or town, I have a surplus of money I m prepared to designate to physically finding theswede or a labcoin associate, all I need is a gerneral location and I can do the rest. One of you IT guys needs to trace one of these guys if possible. I will get all the answers we need from their.

I am surprised we haven't had a member in HK pay 'Sam' a visit. He is most likely long gone at this point.

I've said this before, and I'll say this again
There are a lot of SHADY bitcoin investors on here, and we don't even realize it.  Only the nerds actually post regularly on bitcointalk, but there are a lot of Silkroad kingpins, gun runners, shit disturbers, etc with A LOT of BTC to toss around, and some of them probably went balls deep into labcoin.  This is the last crowd you would ever want to fuck with, a little more diverse than the NASDAQ crowd  Cheesy anyways,  I hope it ends well for everybody...

I am sure people threatening with SEC/Police shit dont have shares anymore

Anyone still holding shares today is either incredibly gullible or they bought cheap shares knowing full well this is a scam, hoping to profit from the scam nonetheless if the scammers decided to pay back some of their loot. I dont see why those investors' rights would trump the rights of earlier investors who genuinely believed in this company and sold when it became clear what this is.
