yes i suggest you to buy altcoins, 1 eth is so small but you can devide it into altcoin under 1 dollar such as verge, tron, xlm and etc. you might gain more if you invest it to other coin. ETH indeed strong coin but today eth seems not profitable anymore to invest on it.

You can split it up. Keep a certain portion of your money in eth, and invest the rest in alts. Eth will probably rise, but at a smaller percentage than alts, but alts are risky obviously. So if your investment in alts fails, you will still have a portion of your eth.

Buying alts by using ETH pair is a quite good decision of such problems.

It's a good advise, but I ETH isn't so large amount for investment. Best to keep it focused on a few really good ones (that way if they do moon you'll make good profit). Otherwise you stretch yourself thin and don't really ride any of them.

If you're not afraid to take risks, you can sell the aether and buy a few different violas, which are likely to bring you profit. On the other hand, you can hold the ether and then after a while just bring profit.
