1 ETH - should buy alt or hold on to it

I have seen so many alt coins that were cheaper and I was holding on to ETH thinking  it will pave out. I wish i bought altcoins with it as that would got me some profits.

For e.g

I was watching VERGE xvg recently when it was less than 1 cent. today it is 25 cents. I wish that I had invested in it when My gut  instincts was for it.

Did not want to loose the only ether as i lost my Previous eth in Confido scam. Please advise.

Greetings, look in my opinion the ETH has very good growth prospects and I would recommend to keep it as the price for it will soon increase at times because it is constantly developing and launches new tokens on its site, which helps to attract new users

I will say invest that one ethereum into ICO then get high returns in a very short time,if you hold that ethereum it may take years to give the same profits,but investing on ICO is risky so if you want high return take that risk and make huge money in short time.

Firstly, the coolest ICOs now take many ETH coins, and never only 1 Ethereum. Secondly, you are always risking too much, when you deal with these projects. It is better to keep on holding ETH or exchange it for several smaller alts.

If I have 1 ETH i would buy and try other altcoins. I'll spread my 1 ETH to the other altcoins, because other altcoins also have potential here in the crypto world all the new one also have potentials. These altcoins might gain more profit than to hold 1 ETH.  In investing here in the crypto world you need to predict what will happen soon. If you're a good observer you will have good prediction when will increase and decrease and when to buy and sell it.

eth is a highly valued altcoin and I suggest you keep your eth until eth has an increase but if you want to buy altcoin I recommend ADA as altcoin which also has very good popularity in the future

I think you should split the Ethereum, hold the half of it and buy alts for the remaining, that's what most of my friends (traders) does, so even when something unwanted happen to the alts they bought which i hope will never happen, they still have ETH/BTC.

If you only have 1 eth, I suggest you that to put that in a good altcoin for getting more money back. As 1 eth is only less than $1000 now, it is hard to get rich in eth for only 1 eth.

If you want to take a risk you should buy a decent low marketcap altcoin with it . It is much easier to go 10x with that , because for a 10x in ethereum there has to happen a lot. But ethereum is a safer bet long term.

You can hold some eTH and and buy some alts. Get some cheap coins from the top 50-100. Look into them and see which ones you like and you think have potential for growth.

In my opinion, if you regret, then you split the 0.5 for ETH and 0.5 for Altcoins. ETH is getting higher and higher but you have to wait. Altcoins gives you high profits quickly but with many risks.
Investment diversification is a right decision!

Ok I understand where you are coming from as you stand to make a lot of profit if you end up investing in an altcoin that goes up and at the same time you don't want to end up losing your ETH in case ethereum does go up so here's what you should do. Decide what percentage of that 1 ETH you are willing to give up and then invest that percentage in an altcoin of your choice and hold on to the remaining ethereum. win-win.
