Does anyone else remember the good-old days when the Phoenix developers actually read their own forum and posted updates and answered questions. They used to try to improve the product and put out fixes and new releases. Alas, me thinks those days are gone with the wind.
maybe they are working on exactly those goals so hard that there is no time for forum ... or maybe they ended up having kids and that takes the forum time away but I hope next version have that dag buffering thing for zil mining I agree. Its like being late for something and whilst driving there at speed they keep calling on the phone to find out where you are. Stop calling im on the way ffs and dont want to have to pull over to tell you what you already know!! Dear Phoenix Miner. Big Navi :-)

Okay guys, please, cut the sparks. Everyone here has different goals and different strategies on how to meet their goals. I personally still need some more GPU's to retire my last few 4G cards, but I'm off the market because I do not agree to pay at the retail stores about double the price, compared to the reference price for the cards they selling now. Even a few months ago, I managed to buy 2 new RX 6700 XT cards from eBay at a lower price than what they are selling them now in the retail stores. Also more worst is the situation with the LHR cards. They are not available in the retail stores, but the displayed price is double compared to the founder's edition, and the LHR lock makes them less power efficient even with 70% unlock. But this is just me. However there are still people who pay these prices, even they know may never make an ROI. I would never advise someone to do or not to do something unless I had been asked.
Essentially people like us who missed earlier waves. I think the RX5700's bought used are a good price/power/hash card these days. I only changed mine to 6800 for the power savings. I sniped them on ebay auctions at the last second using gixen.com Dont you think getting a warranty is worth the little extra although many retailers are now sold out sadly...

Hi! Sorry for the off topic but I'm out of ideas! At least I'm using phoenix miner!
So, I bought 2x Tplink p100 smart plugs and have set 2x asrock motherboards 1. b450 steel legend, R5 3600 with 1x 1kw PSU, 2. x470 Master Sli R5 1600, 2x PSUs 1kw connected together. So both motherboards set to restore power after power loss, the first mobo starts as it should after switching the smart plug on, BUT the second x470 mobo only starts spinning bot PSUs fans... but nothing starts...no RBGs, no fans running, not even cpu fan, ONLY the 2 PSU fans are running. It only starts working properly after turning the rig on from the classic power button.
Anyone has any suggestion what the problem could be? Once again Im really sorry for the off topic and thanks in advance! Cheers!

Have you tried swapping the units at the smart plugs? If it follows the rig start there….if it stays at the plug replace it. Then do the same for the psu’s and motherboards until you isolate what is causing the behavior.

I found out someone had same problem with Asrock x470 motherboard and resolved it by updating the bios. So I gave it a try and updated from bios version 3.50 to 3.70 and this solved my problem! Now the rig starts when power comes back, but the only problems is that windows shows that message before it enters into windows that the system didn't start up correctly and I should choose restart or actions to restore windows. Its a bit of a bummer again because you cant log on with teamviewer and cant firgure out why the rig isn't booting...

The new beta version is ready. You can download PhoenixMiner 5.8b from here: PhoenixMiner_5.8b_Windows.zipPhoenixMiner_5.8b_Linux.tar.gzTo check the integrity of the downloaded file, please use the following hashes (you need the last file PhoenixMiner_NVRTC_Windows.zip only if you want to mine BCI with Nvdia cards under Windows): File: PhoenixMiner_5.8b_Windows.zip =================================== SHA-1: 82e6695d39d1f823676b80bbe2419f55beb4a387 SHA-256: 61452bab132f8feef823c5cbb987d9fd0bae1644fa068a31bf66be9a043bef79 SHA-512: ba3869628f49108212536e4cae479bd479fc1a34fdcf2a6f7dd8651fdae6c6c8e1a1f51e64d470c5e323136ca1a454c581c53bf38811e469be40d994705f96bf

The new features in this release are: - Implemented optimized kernels for AMD RX6600XT cards
- Added support for the latest AMD Windows drivers (21.10.2, 21.10.1, 21.9.2, and 21.9.1). Note that any AMD cards older than Polaris (RX470/480/570/580/590) won't work with the latest AMD drivers.
- Added support for the latest AMD Linux drivers 21.30
- The latest AMD drivers (21.9.1 and later for Windows, and 21.30 and later for Linux) dropped support for the older kernels, so we changed the kernels for AMD Polaris cards to support these new drivers. There is a very small speed improvement (less than 0.1% on average) with the new kernels and the new drivers on Polaris cards
- Note that Radeon VII cards will not work with Windows drivers 21.6.1 or higher, or Linux drivers 21.20 or higher - you need to use older drivers for proper operation of these cards
- Note that AMD Vega cards will not work with Linux drivers 21.20 or higher)
- Other fixes and small improvements
For more robust integrity check, you can use our GPG public key, which was verifyed with ETH transaction from our main devfee account as explained here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2647654.msg56755869#msg56755869. Yes I know, but that's not a good solution. Because you have to check and determine every single spam/scam reply if its legit reply or not. While if all legit sources are placed on the 1st post, no need to be checked for anything. And hit the report to moderator any time you see a in this thread with D/L links from any other user in this thread. No thanks, no time to loose to monitor the forums for those things. The spammers are constantly and regularly are flooding the topics with those. (It's not something to be done once and gone) Second this is a beta release so not replaceing the first post links.
No need to replace anything, in the 1st post it could be placed both/all like this: Official release: Link to: etc....... Beta release: Link to: etc.......

I agree with Rickirs, unless you specifically implement the LHR mode like many of the other miners are doing you are going to lose clients from the Nvidia side, personally I am happy from quite a lot of time with your miner as I mainly have AMD cards but it is a shame that you have not implemented some kind of LHR tune yet, hopefully this will be fixed in the upcoming releases.

The moment those malware bots post something here, chances are high that someone would fall victim before the original uploader realizes, because they tend to post at irregular intervals, and also come in several ranks, including some highly-ranked ones. The only thing is to report when we see such posts, there would always be one or two that would not read the OP before getting infected.

I don't have any LHR cards, but my 3070 non-LHR does not perform well with PM either. The miner needs improvements for all Nvidia cards too. Also, I have on the way RX 6600 non-XT. Is that card will be supported in the beta release the same way as the XT models?

Yes, we have tested on Windows 11 with both AMD and Nvidia cards, everything should work as in Win10 with the same drivers. Why you don't keep downloads only in your 1st post in this topic? And post notification eventually for a new version as a replies, but keep all downloads in your 1st post only and not from a replies.
Because then everyone will download and install the beta version from the first post, ignoring that it is in "beta" status, and if there are some problems with it we will never hear the end of it. Plus, it is not likely that this will stop the "fake" updates from appearing in our thread. how to use optimized kernels for AMD RX6600XT cards ?
They will be used automatically instead of the generic kernels, leading to slightly higher hashrate and much less stale shares.
Hopefully there will be kernels for Nvidia LHR cards in the next release. It is a shame but we don't strive to be the best in everything - all power to our competitors that implemented it before us. After all, the crypto is doomed if is not sufficiently decentralized, including in the area of mining software. Also, I have on the way RX 6600 non-XT. Is that card will be supported in the beta release the same way as the XT models?
Should be supported, but we were unable to test because we don't have 6600 non-XT yet in our hands. Let us know if you have any problems with it.
