  • Added native kernels for AMD RX6700 GPUs. These are faster than the generic kernels and produce a lot less stale shares
  • Full support for setting clocks, fan speeds, voltages, and memory timings of AMD RX6900/6800/6700 cards
Can someone explain how to edit timings on rx 6900/6800/6700? I tried -mt value with no effect

Good question.  I wonder if you could do fast timing on linux using RX 6000-series.

on another question, why i can't use awesome miner with latest beta version?
edit: never mind the last question.

When you say "BETA" i hope you are using program download from PhoenixMiner post....because atm alot newbies accounts spam with "NEW BETA" what is virus!
thx for the care!
i am new, but not stupid! i know what you're talking about.

ok i've got another question: is it normal for the hashrate to go up like 8-7Mh for a couple of seconds then the miner stops and restart the mining at the same normal hashrate that it was mining?
cuz some times it just opens up another cmd and the windows and the driver will crash after a few seconds!

to be clear, i'm talking about 2 cmd running the miner at the same time!!

If you start 2 copy on same miner working on same cards its normal to crash...but if you have for example mix AMD/Nvidia and you use option for every miner to use only amd/nvidia they will work normal.
About hash to go up and down and miner restart....its depend from many factors. For example if you mine on multi coin pool like zerg pool and ETH algo your miner will get work for different dags so he will have up and down his MH. If you use Nicehash (not recommend) because your miners often change job from 1 order to another you "loss" time for your miner to generate dags and hash will go up/down all time special with option -gt 0 for auto tune. If you direct mine ETH on any ETH only pool you will have much more stable and constant hash rate....if you dual mine ETH+zill there will be from time to time change in hashrate when you go to mine zill from ETH. If your mem overheat hash will drop too.... Smiley
well that's a lot of information to take at once, but many thx.
idk if this forum has a "thumbs up" option, if i knew how it was i would have done that!
so my problem is working with nicehash!
i should change pools then.

I tried new PhoenixMiner 5.6a with the same settings from working 5.5c and I got this error:

https://ibb.co/jLcPZHw

"Video driver consistency error. Please go back to version 5.5c"

Driver version is 20.11.1

Does anyone have this issue?

You download a wrong version with virus your screen refer to a 5.5d version that never exist except from hacked account.

At least scan all your PC with antivirus or format all your hard drive and download the version 5.6a from PhoenixMiner post.

You are using the virus that is 5.5d not 5.6a...

I am getting a "Debugger detected" fatal error at start on 5.6a...I have added "-amd" to the end of the command line. No error on 5.5c.

What platform are you mining on and what AMD driver version are you running?

Hi everybody

Any of you have noticed some change in hashrate/consumption with this new beta version?

Also, I would like to ask if someone is using dual mining eth+xvg and could tell me if it is profitable versus ethereum only. I have a rig with mixed 3070 and 3060ti's.

Thanks!!

NiceHash did a ugly but nice trick screaming Phoenix Miner Virus! But you now what? We have solution for you! We created for you our own miner Grin

In Phoenix i have less heat and 2MH/s more but i whish they upgrade to work with latest AMD drivers.Dont want to install some ancient 20.8.2 driver to work, otherwise -clkernel issue.

You must have missed that 5.5c was compatible with AMD 21.1.1 through 21.2.3, and 5.6a is compatible with AMD drivers through 21.3.2(AMD drivers 21.4.1 isn't compatible).

Not possible afaik. Readme says:

PhoenixMiner also supports **ETCHash** for mining ETC, **Ubqhash** for
mining UBQ, **ProgPOW** for mining BCI, and **dual mining**
Ethash/ETCHash/Ubqhash with **Blake2s**.

afaik for mining xvg coin it uses the blake2s algo, so ethash + blake2s should be possible?

Hello, I am a "young" minor. I use Phoenixminer on my PC with an RTX 3070. Normally I get up to 62-63 MH/s but I realize that sometimes I don't get a share. (no rejections either). When I reboot, I notice regular shares, without overclock. As soon as I put the overclock back on, it's a problem. Sometimes I have no problem with the overclock.
Is it better to lower the number of MH/s to have more shares, and if so, how to find the right balance?
Thanks

Minerstat is also pushing down the legit 5.6a.  No problem on a Radeon 6800 and the legit 5.6a with Radeon Software 21.3.2 and earlier.

Trying out the 5.6a beta right now on a 8 x 3090 rack. After 8 hours in and it seems like the stale rate has dropped a bit and hashrate seems a tad more stable on the pool end.

A bit early to say 100% success but so far 0 issues...

I have the same issue with my 3080’s . My 1070’s are performing very well

Seems to be a problem with the 30 series and would be nice if Phoenixminer devs would address this and see if maybe its something they can tweak in their software .

Are you doing Fast Timing on Adrenalin or using the -mt flag?

Nope. Veriblock (VBK) does not use Blake2s. It uses vBlake2.

I am using Radeon Software to configure, Fast Timing at 2100 on the memory, power limit to the maximum of +10 percent.   I am getting 62.5MH/s or so for speed.   21.4.1 is NOT working with 5.6a, but 21.3.2 works.
