That’s right. It’s better to reinstall the operating system and set up everything again. You should also change the passwords if you entered any of them on an infected system and generate new crypto keys if you used any. Better be safe, because there are a lot of crooks in the cryptoworld who want your money.
Maybe warn that guy on youtube about it if someone hasn’t already written to him in comments.

There is some problem with phoenixminer 5.6 both betas and RX6700 cards.
After new epoch kicked in just now, they simply crash or hash 0.
Rest cards are ok.

Reverting to 5.5c-rc kinda works.

I have 6x rx6800 and 2x rx6800 + 1x rtx 3090, both rigs on phoenixminer 5.6c . Both rigs crashed because of the miner, 0 hashrate at the moment. any ideas what is happening? (using 5.5 did not help)

So.
I informed the guy in youtube.
Set up a new windows 10 and installed the 5.6 b.

On side 440 from PhoenixMiner this should be correct ?

The wallet ist best to install on another Laptop for example?

I want to learn the mining thing before set up an entire system for that.

Sorry for the questions.

So after using 5.6a for a bit I started getting can not get fan speed then the miner paused and I must click pause to continue mining.

I just updated to 5.6b but does anyone have an idea what the cause would be?

If you are running Windows, then also run the latest drivers for your video card as well.   I've noticed a LOT of people who run old driver versions due to the older PhoenixMiner versions not working with the latest AMD drivers for example, but then they update PhoenixMiner which has been updated to work with the latest drivers but without updating the drivers as well.

Hello,

I'm on driver 20.12.1. Is there any advantage to update to the latest supported by Phoenix Miner?

It's strange but fact - PM gives much more rejected shares on nicehash than TR miner.
TR miner - about 0.3%, PM - about 1.15-1.25%
This nullifies some speed advantage of PM.

Latest drivers are in so that's not it. It seems like Phoenix it isn't getting fan data for some odd reason.

What's off for me is that the -minRigSpeed 900 didn't seem to reboot the rig... And it was requesting me to push a button to continue which of course at that point I just manually reboot....

How can I bypass this?

You can easily find it on the Internet. For example: https://miningchamber.com/gpu-mining/rx-580-mining-settings/

Hi All,

New guy here, I started using PhoenixMiner and it mines fine for the most part.. However, after 4-5 days (roughly 5000 shares on a single card) is when I start getting a lot of invalid shares non stop. The only way for me to fix it, is to restart the miner which works perfect again until I reach about 5000 shares. Invalids start again. Does anyone else have this issue where they basically have to restart it every 4-5 days? Any way to fix this problem? Using 5.5c with 3070's.

In thinking about some of the problems people have encountered with the latest drivers plus the latest PhoenixMiner versions and only SOME people having an issue, for those that ran into a problem, do you have PCI Express 4.0 enabled for your video card(s)?   Obviously for the Radeon 6000 series which does support PCIe 4.0, that might explain why some are encountering issues, while others like myself do not(AMD X370 chipset doesn't have PCIe 4.0 support).   Anyway, it was just a thought.

@PhoenixMiner  anyway you can add the ABSOLUTE CORE LIMIT   for Nvidia cards like what is implemented by HiveOs?

they save good amount of electricity by lowering the core beyond -500  and keep the has for eth still up.

also any tricks on the RTX 3060  model?

I need help to set up a watchdog in PhoenixMiner

I have a problem understanding how the watchdog runs in PhoenixMiner. I got a rig with 10 GPUs. One of them was suddenly freezing yesterday. I can see the miner tried to restart itself (I believe this is the default and I didn't change the setting as I can see it showed restarting... ). However, after running few commons, the miner window close. The rig was do nothing for hours until I run the miner again.

I was wondering if anyone can tell me how to auto restart the miner as claymore did after an unexpected GPU crash.

In the last few days despite the same hash rate, the reward progresses is very slowly. Is it due to the price increase of ETH?
