I heard nbminer inflates its results, I suggest you try some other too like t-rex and then compare.

I never compare hashrates given by miners as the hashrate at the pool is important.

Does anyone know when exactly ETH becomes PoS ?
And when it's happens what coin is good to replace in our mining rigs (especially with AMD Polaris GPUS) ?

No one really knows as the devs of Ethereum are well known in missing the deadlines they pone to do.Based on that I would say as a minimum can happen in late 2022 early 2023 so there is enough time to keep mining Ethereum and making money like all miners do.

Plenty of other coins to mine if Eth goes PoS and the top of them are,ERG,ETC and RVN.

According to the this post, the full switch to PoS is expected at Feb 2022.
4. We think ~4 months is a generous timeframe from having the code done to seeing the merge on mainnet.
5. We think there's a chance this can happy by February (obviously, still a lot of unknowns!), so we decided to set the bomb based on that.
https://twitter.com/TimBeiko/status/1449051099457998851

For now, PoS is working without major problems on the mainnet, so another 3 month delay looks less probable.

As for the other coins, when ethereum mining stops, the 750Th/s are too much to be handled by all of the remaining coins put together. For example etc's nethash is 27Th/s  and the other coins are several times lower than that. So, in order the mining to continue to be profitable, the price of the other coins will have to increase at least 25 times. Although possible in the long run, I can't see that highly probable in mid-term especially in short-term. So, the most probable outcome is that everyone who pays for the electricity to continue on a loss or to sell the gpus. This will quickly bring the prices of the current gpus below 500$. Like in 2020 at some point before the 5700's, amd 570's and 580's were priced around 200$ as new. And then the second hand gpus weren't too many. Now if these millions gpus are put on sale in ebay, the prices will go even lower. So, to calculate the current daily profit and extrapolate it one year from now is a big mistake. And the hope of selling a $4500 non gaming gpu for any price above $100 or a normal card for $2000 above $200 is another big mistake. So, it is better to invest directly in Bitcoin than hoping for ROI in the next one year. It is just a free advice to the newbies from a veteran miner since 2016. I have the choice now to use my rigs as heating devices through the winter, or to settle on a carribean island, enjoying my riches.

It's already the 800Th/s.
On the contrary, I plan to buy good and energy-efficient video cards after the end of mining. Even if mining is unprofitable, I am ready to risk part of the profit.
It's much easier for manners to do this, because I'll swap my old video cards for new ones if possible. But my old observations suggest that prices began to fall not immediately, but after 3-4 months.
And the ideal prices for buying were after 7 months of low profit.

Please state which version of windows you are running as that helps.
Either try an earlier version 21.8.2 or the latest 21.11.1

I am running Ubuntu 20.4.2/3 with the amdgpu-pro-driver-21.30 with a rrx 6600 xt and fan control works.
-ttj 65 -fpwm 4

You can try those settings to see if it helps.

I doubt there will be as Nicehash did the error here by downloading an infected version of Phoenixminer by not doing due diligence and then blamed Phoenixminer for this. They also removed Phoenix miner at that time.Their error is that they didn't download Phoenixminer from the official source and despite being in clear error they tried to blame everything on Phoenixminer which on their side just told the truth to anyone and anyone with a bit of normal brain understands that Phoenixminer did nothing wrong to Nicehash.

Based on the above,I doubt we will ever see Phoenixminer back in Nicehash.

Hello Phoenix Team.
I have a problem with phoenixminer 5.7 and 5.8
Rig with Powercolor Rx 6700 xt Red Devil and Sapphire Rx 6600 xt Pulse
Windows 10 LTSC (updates disabled), page file 50gb, RAM 8gb, Motherboard tuf b360 plus gaming
The rig with video cards rx 6700 xt worked stably with driver 21.5.2.  Then I installed new cards Rx 6600 xt in the rig updated the driver to the first supporting version 6600xt (21.8.1) and there I have a problems.  Miner stopped working correctly on Rx 6700 xt cards.  With -clkernel 1 parameter the clsetkernelarg (-48) error appeared constantly.  I tried all possible driver versions (21.8.2, 21.9.1, 21.9.2, 21.10.1, 21.10.2, 21.11.1).
Error still been there.  if I set -clkernel 0 the miner works but not very stable.  percent of stale shares nearly 40 percent in 24 hours.  if I remove 6600 xt cards from Rig and install drivers 21.5.2 then everything works fine.  Help please solve the problem. The miner suited everyone but I had to go to TRM

PS : Sorry for my bad English)

Hello Phoenix Team.
I have a problem with phoenixminer 5.7 and 5.8

I have also a problem with Phoenixminer 5.8c.

I downloaded it from here and it worked fine. But after the reboot of PC, I clicked the shortcut, Defender announced 2 Trojan Viruses and simply blocked version 5,8c.

I have also version 5,5 installed and it works, but says, that OPenCL driver is of unknown version.

I have added 5,8c Star miner file to Defender exceptions and corrected the Firewall also, but nothing has changed.

It is the same story, when I try to install 5,7 version...

I am working now on 5,5 version, but 5,8 was better (less invalid and stale shares and more stable)

How could I fix it?

As I wrote earlier, I have a similar problem, only fewer Stale shares, about 2-4%, which is still not good.

I have problems with my Big Navi cards in Windows 10 21H1 too, but it looks strange to me. On my test PC, I have a single RX 6600 which is working without any issues with the same windows and same drivers. The only difference is my test PC runs with Windows Home, but the rig runs with Windows Pro. When I start the rig, without setting clKernel or I set it to 1, it returns me Failed to compile program: clBuildProgram (-11) before the DAG generation, and message after the DAG is:
Code:

When I start the rig with -clKernel 0 for the last four cards, it works, but I am getting too high percents of stale and incorrect shares. Also, it is strange because the GPU6 is not Big Navi, but RX 5500 XT. In addition to stale shares reported by the miner, I am getting between 2 and 4%  stale shares reported by the pool. The pool reports less than 1% for my other rigs. Please see a short report for this here:

I have problems with my Big Navi cards in Windows 10 21H1 too, but it looks strange to me. On my test PC, I have a single RX 6600 which is working without any issues with the same windows and same drivers. The only difference is my test PC runs with Windows Home, but the rig runs with Windows Pro. When I start the rig, without setting clKernel or I set it to 1, it returns me Failed to compile program: clBuildProgram (-11) before the DAG generation, and message after the DAG is:
Code:

Yes. It’s very strange

I tried to install HiveOS on rig. Install the drivers A20.40 (5.11.1001) launch phoeinxminer 5.8c and first I have error clBuildProgram (-11) and immediately after clCreateKernel (-46)

Other miners on HiveOS work correctly

Many thanks to the Phoenix Miner Dev team for their awesome miner!  I've been using it since February of this year.

I wanted to pass along a Perl script I wrote to monitor Phoenix Miner.  The script will send you hash rate summary emails every 6 hours and send you emails for incorrect eth shares and invalid hash rates.  It's currently setup to reboot the rig if an invalid hash rate is encountered.  (I did that because my rig would lock up and be completely unreachable once the GPU fully crashed)

It's written for Linux, but I'm sure it could be modified for Windows!

You can read about it here, see how to use it, and download it here:

https://swiftcryptollc.github.io/2021/11/11/watch-scripts/

It is a script, not compiled code, so you can look it over yourself and even modify it to your use.

If you have any issues with it, please let me know!

The new beta version is ready. It is mostly a bugfix release, the more significant upgrades are coming next month. You can download PhoenixMiner 5.9b from here:

PhoenixMiner_5.9b_Linux.tar.gz

To check the integrity of the downloaded file, please use the following hashes (you need the last file PhoenixMiner_NVRTC_Windows.zip only if you want to mine BCI with Nvdia cards under Windows):

The new features in this release are:

  • Show the GPU vendor name in the list of GPUs to make it easier to identify the GPUs
  • Added support for the latest AMD Linux drivers 21.40.1. There are some bugs in these drivers, particularly the clocks and voltages can't be set properly with older cards (RX4x0/RX5x0/Vega/RadeonVII)
  • Validated support for the latest AMD Windows drivers up to 21.11.2
  • Fixed issues with AMD RX6700XT cards with the latest AMD and Linux drivers
  • Fixed issues with AMD Vega and Radeon VII cards on latest Windows and Linux drivers
  • Fixed crash with very old Nvidia drivers (3xx.x)
  • Other fixes and small improvements

The updated list of known issues (driver incompatibilities, etc.) and workarounds:

  • AMD Linux driver 21.40.1 has a bug preventing proper setting of clocks and voltages on older cards (RX4x0/RX5x0/Vega/RadeonVII). Given that these drivers are also usually slower than the older drivers for these cards, we recommend using Linux drivers 20.30 for anything older than RX6000 series.
  • If you are using Linux drivers 21.40.1 with Radeon VII cards, you need to add the option -fpwm 1 in order to have proper fan control.
  • AMD Linux drivers 21.40.1 has finally removed the requirement of PCIe atomics but there are problems when you try to mix Polaris (RX4x0/5x0) cards and Vega or newer cards on the same rig.
  • Some Nvidia cards will report a lot of stale shares under Windows 11. Using the same driver version under Windows 10 resolves the issue.

Superb RX6700 XT now running with optimised kernels under ubuntu with 21.30 thanks. Will play with 21.40.1 driver later looking to get multi gpus running under ubuntu 20.04 LTS with latest drivers that would be most welcome.

Last post from me for while as dont appreciate my posts getting merged and deleted so just to thank PM and confirm now got 7 RX6800 XT running under ubuntu 20.04 with latest driver 21.40.1 and even gained a couple of extra hashes also like the labeling of GPU's good feature thanks for PM 5.9b. Note we are back to ROCM :-) but dont like the way AMD distribute this driver using package manager instead of a nice fat tarball download, I smell trouble ahead.
