I found a video on YouTube https://youtu.be/qTxPfxmkLIY that according to this man (Warren Buffett) said "Bitcoin doesn't meet the definition of a currency" and he said that "he would not be surprised if bitcoin is not around in 10 or 20 years".

Is he a hater of bitcoin? while other big names appreciate the bitcoin.

Your thoughts?

That video is already old and he failed his predictions. I dont think he is a hater of bitcoin, but i believe that he is not a believer and he will stick to his phylosophy in his business style. We cannot blame him for his comments because he is also a successful businesman in this era.

The Bitcoin network protocol was designed to be extremely flexible. It can be used to create timed transactions, escrow transactions, multi-signature transactions, etc. The current features of the client only hint at what will be possible in the future.

Let his statements live with him through his entire life about bitcoin. Soon, if disadvantages about bitcoin will be addressed, i think, bitcoin will not only be a small time currency but it will be a global currency for all.

I agree if Bitcoin instead of currency. Because there are still many countries who do not legalize Bitcoin. And no Government set about Bitcoin. If you think my Bitcoin it just creates a future asset.

Right now, Bitcoin is experiencing a huge load on its network. The transactions aren't as cheap as they used to be but it is also due to massive increase in Bitcoin price. Some people treat Bitcoin like a non-physical gold which will replace the real one. Fortunately, it might change after introducing the Lightning Network which will definitely lower the transaction fees and make Bitcoin widely accepted. Bitcoin is a currency.

for me it is not an enemy but I think that it does not have much knowledge about bitcoin, maybe in a time or some years change of opinion, bitcoin is still very young
Bitcoin is a virtual currency that has no physical appearance, so many big names are against bitcoin and telling bitcoin is just a bubble and a danger to deal with. why? well, they are those humans who gave all their lives in fiat and business to be rich and cant accept the fact that bitcoin can change anyone's life in just a short time and just be sitting at home!

The common thing that bitcoin and the regular currencies have is being able to be used as payment in transactions, this is the reason why it is considered as a form of currency, but belongs to a different classification which is online currency, because it doesn't have a physical form. So, I don't see any reason why not to consider it.

Maybe not a virtual but still a currency that is only digital. Even though its a digital currency, it has the ability of a physical money when it comes to payment and buying products through online, like the other past food chains and restaurants that accept also bitcoin for payments. So you can not say that bitcoin is not a currency at all.

it is an asset. there are two big problems with bitcoin as a currency: its value is unstable and its transaction processing is too slow. The most important feature of a currency is that it be a stable store of value. Another basic feature of a currency, beyond being a stable store of value, is to facilitate transactions

In some point he is right. We cannot consider Bitcoin as a currency today as its still facing some issues like high transaction fees and slow transaction procedures, in short Bitcoin is still unstable and still cant match the fiat currency. But once it becomes stable and can match the traditional banking system, this will eliminate big names in the business industry. Some big names are just afraid of Bitcoins future thats why they stand against it.

may be more so called modern means of payment. because the bitcoin is not intangible, so it is true this can not be called with the currency. perhaps many people assume that way because the bitcoin is intangible. so I myself think bitcoin is just a means of payment

We can not lose the sense of reason because we talked about bad bitcoin. We are bitcoin proponents, but we are not cultaries,we accept Bitcoin's criticism and goodwill advice. I do not think this person is a bit Opponents of the currency, on the contrary, I think some of his suggestions I can still accept and think deeply.
