Will polyswarm be a software you install on several operating systems like an anti-virus? If yes, then how does it actually protect you better than a normal anti-virus especially when you are not online?

Polyswarm is more than that it’s a platform for higher up in the god changing its target is the whole process of discovering new viruses and exploits and 0 day vulnerabilities and being a conduit to discover and reward security experts for their work in discovering those problems before they hit your neighborhood computer.

So no it won’t be a antivirus in the basic sense it’s a network for discovering exploits and viruses before they become an issue and rewarding the security experts for their work in discovering those exploits.

Valid point, i've had my fair share of cyber security issue, is really a sorry scene to see your hardwork taken from you as a result of cyber security issues, if i can single-handedly fund a project that will give me top notch security, i will but is not the case, all i can do is invest and support such platform as polyswarm

Is the counter on the website updated automatically? I'm researching the ice dynamic, but as I understand this counter updated manually.

I think it is manually, because they need to move the green bar as well, but I am not sure though. I am actually really impressed with Polyswarm they gathered $23 million, and is still going on.

This is a very interesting concept. And the fact that there are rewards for those who deliver the best software might even get hackers to provide a solution to a threat they initially wanted to exploit. Is that how it might work?

Also you can’t use two antivirus packages at  the same time and combine their protection. There are more ico rating pages every day. And they actually describe the ICOs less and less. This article is a good example, because I have read here in the forum already better and more instructive postings about Polyswarm. The operators of these sites have no great effort, I'm not a fan of these short descriptions.

As you said, there are more sites popping up every day. Wiserico, for example, is also a pretty new site, but one of the better ones. I just can't understand that it is somehow profitable to create even more of these rating sites.
