I was invited by a friend of a friend to invest in Bitcoin last year. He told me that if I invest 5000 in our currency it will be doubled in a month's time. He also promised me that I will get referral fees and override from every person I introduced to Bitcoin and that prices of Bitcoin are expected to increase. To make the story short I did not join because I believe its a pyramiding scam. Truth to be told I did my research on Bitcoin after that and it turn's out that Bitcoin's price was really on rise unfortunately I did not invest at that time. Currently I'm learning more thru this forum and I thank my friend for inviting me here. Just last December I heard from one of my friends that the company they joined was in fact a pyramiding scam and the money they invested in just vanished out of thin air together with the people who invited them. We should be wary of people offering investments and opportunities to us. Do your research. Opportunity comes with risks as well as the rewards. If its too good to be true, it might be a scam. Bitcoin is not a SCAM but there are people who uses Bitcoin to SCAM other people. Good luck to us and more power to Bitcoin!

I fully agree with your concluding remark. It is true that no matter what kind of an investment you do engage, you cannot depend or rely on what others say. It is a matter of your effort and the analyzing skills which will pave the way to the success in this arena.

Good work and not in a hurry. Your friend has a very ambitious attitude to get double the profit from bitcoin. But, it's different from you. You do research and study the background etc maybe. And that yields results. Speculating is very important in investing. A pretty interesting story and gives newbie experience here.

Bitcoin is real. If you buy some Bitcoins, you can exchange them to other currencies, and eventually purchase some goods. Or in some cases, you can purchase goods directly in Bitcoins.

Yes, bitcoin is not a scam. This is currency, that you can donate someone on yt etc. and with that you can pay by it on some of internet shops/pages.

Bitcoin is not a scam, and if you really think that it is, then you clearly do not understand how bitcoin works and for what kind of purposes it is being used for.

Bitcoin is not scam, take a look. How can we say bitcoin is a scam if they have many people around the world where it is legally accepted has many investors that as we can see in their experience, bitcoin gave them a better life now compare before.

nice story, this gives us a lesson not to be easily tempted by investments that promise a lot of profits in a fast time, all need a process. bitcoin is not a Ponzi scheme like multi-level marketing, therefore before entering the bitcoin market we must first study the investment that we will join.

This story is rely nice and I think it has enlightened us to invest directly from the right source. Bitcoin can be bought with fiat currency and can also be kept in the wallet so that profit can be gained after some time. This shows that Bitcoin (BTC) is REAL and not a SCAM.

Bitcoin is not a scam. You can tell it if you really know how to invest and tried it. For me I am investing in bitcoin since I started to know about cryptocurrency. There are just some people using bitcoin as a scam that's why many people are not believing in it.
If you scammed once then make sure you will not scammed twice. It is a lesson kn life where it told you to study people more or the characteristics of a person. If you are about to invest, be sure that you will invest in a reliable company, with good history and the same time clear background. Do not trust easily because people tends to do bad thing when it concerns money. Especially now that bitcoin is growing, beware.

Many people I know in real life still call bitcoin a scam.  I think part of their motivation is jealously , they didn't invest in bitcoin early so they want to see it fail.  Others stand to lose a lot from bitcoin if the current banking system gets overtaken by cryptocurrency.  Just ignore the FUD and HODL Smiley

I don't know why some people still hold the thoughts that Bitcoin is scam. What kind of scam can exist for almost 10years since its inception. Perhaps those people ceases to learn about the beneficial concept of Bitcoin and the Blockchain technology in general.

Until now there are so many people that think  bitcoin is a scam. Bitcoin for me is not a scam. There are some people that are using the name of bitcoin to scam others.

I remember EVERYONE telling me it was a scam in 2010 when i was mining with GPU's !!! Sold 320 BTC in 2010, made a MASSIVE profit, still in the game, still mining/topping up and invested in other Crypto's to spread it around...

Now EVERONE want's in expecting 5000% returns, i find it hysterical tbh...

I finished my job at 42, had a nice lumper and now rent properties as an income from BTC....

It's the BEST INVESTMENT I ever MADE and was life changing...and it's still early days !!

I'm totally agree with your last sentence. "Bitcoin is not a SCAM but there are people who uses Bitcoin to SCAM other people". If many people judge bitcoin is scam, they must judge the fiat is scam too because it is ever be used to an illegal payments too. What makes people hate bitcoins maybe because they are too late to collect bitcoin, so they not care about bitcoin or they want bitcoin to be cheap again.

If you are going to buy bitcoin, do not trust the process of buying to anyone, better sort yourself out and buy it on your wallet.

I do not think bitcoin is a scam. I find it very convenient that I can transfer money from one country to another. I usually transfer money to my friend through bitcoin. I find it very convenient and fast.

Some of these problems emanate from these High Yield Investment Programs(HYIP). They accept bitcoin as a method of payment then later go MIA. Then some people think bitcoin is a scam because they got ripped off. Forgetting that it was just used as a mode of payment.
