They are not actually getting the bitcoin, they are using bitpay so you are paying via bitcoins but they are getting fiat.

You will be able to buy a bucket of chicken in Select Canada KFC's. However you will have to order it online using Bitpay, and have it shipped to you.

Cost : Around $20 + $5 shipping + Taxes + Any other blockchain fees

If that would be happen that KFC accepts bitcoin, its is possible that many fastfoods accepting it also. Not just any fastfood but in many aspects or stablishment will do the same. Bitcoinworld are steps growing and up if that possible.

Using bitcoin as money for me is not a good idea. You may regret using your bitcoin to purchase a chicken in kfc when that bitcoin can increase its value sooner or later because bitcoin's value is not stable.

KFC accepting bitcoin payments is good news, this means that people, especially large commercial establishment are recognizing Bitcoin as a valid form of currency, this makes Bitcoin finally fulfilling its actual purpose which is to become an actual monetary. I didn't hear yet any news about KFC that accepts  already bitcoin, but sooner they accept  it to because  some countries  are now accepting  it as their mode of payment

I think it's really possible that some food chains like KFC , accept bitcoins as a payment. I also think that businessmen are thinking about the advantages of embracing the changes nowadays in society especially in  using bitcoins.
