Check out my YouTube video where I dive more in depth : BREAKING NEWS KFC is now accepting Bitcoin, and Smart contracts might be legally binding!

Is this just a bucket of chicken, or a bucket of publicity stunts?

You will be able to buy a bucket of chicken in Select Canada KFC's. However you will have to order it online using Bitpay, and have it shipped to you.

Cost : Around $20 + $5 shipping + Taxes + Any other blockchain fees

What do you guys think about it?

I think it would be awesome definitely great , and  still doing some research cause I think atm for bitcoin is legit but I'm happy to heard this one. The bitcoin is evolving now you can pay by bitcoin awesome.

It is a big impact especially to those areas who have KFC accepting bitcoins. This will be easier to those who may not buy on the fastfood chain location since it can be delivered already straight to your home.

Do you guys think this is going to be huge for cryptocurrency or just a KFC marketing scheme?
I think it is. This is additional sales for them aside from the present costumers they have paying in fiat, i believe they know there are a lot of people holding crypto currencies and they may have thought it could mean additional sales if they include bitcoin in their payment forms since transactions are not too difficult for online orders.

now all companies are trying to implement this type of payment. only why does KFC need it itself ? They are already doing their business well enough, and cryptonification can add only problems on the part of the law, since not all countries allow paying for goods in a different currency than their own

The demand for fried chicken has gone done nowadays, so they find this to be a new way to attract customers as they know bitcoin is very popular currently and many people are holding it. This is really a good marketing scheme for them and I don't think people will use bitcoin for such small payments.

So do you think these bitcoin holders dont have fiat? You can still use fiat, and is cheaper than using bitcoin as of right now with the current transaction problem. Which is a fault that bitcoin needs to face. So in reality they are just trying to jump on the train of "BITCOIN". There is no benefit to using bitcoin to buy KFC right now. Yes of course there are benefits of cryptocurrency, but with the current state of bitcoin there is not added value to buying KFC considering they dont offer discounts, so the transaction fees will kill you.

In my opinion, Bitcoin as a payment for kfc or some other simple transactions is not a good idea. Fiat money is just a better payment for everything and bitcoin's transaction fees are too high which is not advisable.

They're chasing McDonald. After all, they can not stay behind. The problem is that transaction fees will be more expensive than food.

It would be very costly because of transaction fee on top of the product's price. I guesd not a good idea for now.

However I will not be willing to use my bitcoin to buy fried chicken. I'd better let it be my investment in the future. And I do not want to regret it.
Fiat is  very effective for use as payment, and bitcoin is very effective for investment. That's the portion.

It’s great that KFC now accept bitcoin and what country do they accept it? I don’t know if people will choose to use BTC for payment than fiat money because of the fees that will add on it. But it’s good that they accept bitcoin because it only proves that it is real and it will increase it’s popularity.

I think more and more you will see many companies and industries start to accept bitcoins and maybe other crypto currencies.  It’s good for business and it shows they are forward thinking.
The initial concept of having Bitcoin is for primer investment. For me it is a good thing to have Bitcoin through transaction because it could definitely give an opportunity for big business to gain more profit for their investment and to establish faster and more relailbe way of transaction. This kind of concept is suitable for future that could definitely give a good effect on the industry.

very funny. If you want to buy a cockroach but need a transaction fee of $ 20. unacceptable. I think KFC should find another coin in the restaurant sector. the community will be very crowded

We hope so. And we hope more that in near future not only KFC accept bitcoin for payment but also other company will accept bitcoin. Especially in school so everyone will not suffer to pay the tuition fee.

I think it would be better if KFC waiting for ICOs project like TenX, PundiX or Crypterium and their service to be available in Canada and partnering with them. Those project offers payment using cryptocurrency with real time conversion so the merchant will get fiat and no need to wait for long confirmation. Or at least waiting for Bitcoin's lightning network to be available. The other option is using cryptocurrency with instant transaction and zero fees like XRB maybe.

It is a good thing as it will legitimize bitcoin for a lot of people that are not involved in it at the moment.

"Hey, I can buy my food with bitcoin now, this must not be a ponzi after all.. Maybe I should look into buying a bit?"
