in my personal opinion, I think it is not appropriate if KYC is applied to bounty hunter. because bounty hunter get the tokens it's a reward from the work of promoting ICO. while the buyer (investor) who bought the token should be cautious for the prevention of money laundering criminals, and other criminals.
I think you are absolutely right. Bounty hunters are freelancers, they are not investing money, so they are not doing any money laundering. But a lot of projects are collecting personal data this way and this is wrong.

It's too risky for you to divulge personal information that can be taken advantage of for an endeavor that doesn't guarantee returns to be asking for KYC. Not all bounties are great though its way better than airdrops. KYC for me is too much to ask just to market some projects.

I am absolutely against the KYC process for bounty hunters, because this process should only be for investors and of course for bounty hunters it's very hard, verification is not easy. It seems to me that this is against the law.

Why should it be against the law? And what law? I wouldn't be so sure there is something clear about this, I think we're in a kind of grey zone because doing a bounty you get tokens for free, but then you can make money out of them, so it's hard to say that KYC is necessary or not.

KYC is just for knowing your customer, it is only needed when ICO accept fiat currency, But doing KYC online to any third party is risky. KYC is only needed when things get centralize but in crypto nothing is decentralize. according to me KYC should stop because there are some ICO which asking for KYC even they have updated their KYC on ICObench.

Bounty programs are asking bounty hunters to do KYC before they are paid for work done . What do you think of this development.
Ya this is retarded imo. I avoid any bounty that requires this and so should everyone else.

I think because maybe it's a lot of accounts that are very abusive and not qualified within us etc so they need kyc for the members and would not have to cause a big problem with the acquired deatails in our

Avoid, new precedent trying to be set, the more people the give in, then you'll have to give you info out for every single airdropped/bounty out there. It's very dangerous for you to trust these non-reputable individuals with your information and for the future of cryptos as a whole, yet no one is discussing this.
You can blame Polymath for this, they don't want to work harder filter to filter puppets, so instead they want your ID.
Edit: There is probably nothing we can do to stop this, because the vast majority of people trying to do airdrops are very likely to hand over their info without a second thought. This has major repercussions, some of the worst repercussions we will see ever in crypto.
The best thing you can do if you're reading this, is to not give in to these new information whores, who are more than likely to flip your IDs on the darkweb for a profit.
Bounty Managers have the power to stop this. We have to message them and let them know about our decision on the forum. They should listen to us!

I like that idea. KYC will reduce the number of multi-accounts. Now a lot of people use multi-accounts in bounty. And my income fell very much.

I know it's dangerous but I still would do it if the bounty reward is big enough. Of course KYC has improved my threshold for joining a bounty, for example, I would join the bounty for $20 without KYC but won't those need KYC. The number is just for example, sometimes it depends on my mood.

The main problem that there was prevention at the beginning of the company, but not at the end. When everything is already counted. Then you have a choice - to participate or not. I consider KYC the standard procedure as we are "shares" holders too.

i think it's bad enough that they do it for folks earning just 50-100. it's worst when they impose this at the end of the campaign without any prior communication.
like others say, i guess we need to choose bounties with care now.

Well, it's a step to a cleaner market, so in theory it would be a good thing. But lot of ICO are very suspicious, and I didn't send my data to an unknown entity. Why don't start the ICO manager to post THEIR personal data, with the passport scans? Then, may be they will have the right to ask for our papers...

The fact is that if the law of the country does not presuppose a sale, then no one has the right to require each member of the Bounty companies to provide their personal data. I understand when this is important for investors, but not members of the Bounty Company.

I can understand your concerns, bounty campaigns should post clearly at the start if they will need kyc or not? secondly if a campaign requires kyc they should start receiving the identity documents during the campaign so that the token distribution does not gets delayed.

The main reason is some Bounties and ICO's are scams and if we submit our ID documents to them that will cause a huge issue in future. So we should more vigilant before we send any KYC documents to anyone.

I believe it is true giving an identification with no hesitation in non-reputable airdrop is to risky, from now on i will to careful for joining any kind of airdrop co'z nowadays is prone of an legitimate airdrop there purpose is to get only your ID and info.

I certainly don't particularly like this fact. But also I understand why this is necessary for real honest projects. I also want to note that the bounty program is much more complicated and discourages its kyc registration, unfortunately.

Personally i felt kyc for bounty participant is not really necessary since they are not investor. Anyways that has now been the new rule of the day even airdrop participants are also mandated to do so before receiving anything from them
airdrop and my data. I would never give my dates. no one knows who makes the airdrop but we should send our data? no thanks. but almost all airdrops are scam and therefore I do not care. I buy my token from the bounty cheap at the exchange. then I do not need a KYC and no shit airdrop This is going to be the contrary force against KYC attempts, especially once decentralized exchanges become the norm. Startups that want more funds will either require incredible reputation (e.g. be a globally reknowned company) or otherwise not ask for KYC, even if just for smaller investments (which enables multiple accounts). Yeah let other people go through the trouble of going through KYC while we buy the tokens from them, this is a far better deal in my opinion, of course you need money to do that but if we take into account you can get those tokens with a huge discount once all the bounty holders being to sell their coins then that small inconvenient becomes very small when compared to going through KYC and losing your data to scammers.
