Bounty programs are asking bounty hunters to do KYC before they are paid for work done . What do you think of this development.

I think it is not necessary to do that. Normal investors that put in their money need to do KYC because the regulation want to project their investment. But for bounty hunters, there is no money put in. Just like airdrops in my opinion.
I think it's normal since it seems that we do put an investment of our efforts too, besides there are many cheaters around that makes many accounts so it will be fair for everyone, it should only be announced before we registered so those who did it want it will not waste their effort in it.

As for me, this is not a good trend. After all, crypto-currencies should be anonymous. For bounty hunter, you should avoid such bounties. Of course, if the project is very good, and you are confident in it, then I think that the kys can be passed.

Nothing is anonymus these days,we need some regulations because criminals but kyc opens door to indentity thieft.. nothing is black and white,we need take some risks...

I think that this is just alright for the bounty hunters to undergo in KYC or Know Your Customer in order for the management of the cryptocurrency projects will know if they are farmers or not or if there is something to worry from their bounty hunters or not. There is no bad effects for me in having or undergoing into a KYC because it brings positive results in both sides

Well it's your decision if you want to participate, but in my case I will not take part on that campaign, it's way to risky and there's no guarantee that they will be here permanently, but since they got your private information, they can do anything with it.

Actually I'm not fully agree with using KYC for bounty hunter.but On the one hand, it will help get rid of multi accounting and honest participants will get more reward. But I don't want to give my personal information to people who  it  unfairly use it.

Submitting your identity in the name of bounty hunting is very risky, probably after the submission the identity documents can be sold out to some online sites who usually sell fake ID documentations, I belief this trend of KYC should totally be left out in bounty hunting, campaign managers should devise another means or method of detecting multiple account holder I.e cheaters.

I don't like bounty programs that ask their participants for kyc. Kyc is only for investor who like to invest. As a bounty hunter we don't need that because we are currently working under them to promote their ico. Aside from risking our documents maybe they will sold our info to other users which is bad.
Of course all bounty hunters don't like bounty programs that ask their participants for KYC, but mainly of bounty programs usually ask KYC after their bounty program is end, so bounty hunters will have two choice: Accept or you will not receive anything and all your efforts are number zero.
For me, i always ask admin of bounty campaign that i have to KYC after bounty program is end, if they ask i will not join because i can't know what will  they use my ID in the future. I dont want have trouble because of this.

I do some KYC process of the successful projects but after hearing the fuds about this. Don't feel like filling the form about the KYC process. I don't want to exposed my identity even if the project is legit. For now on. Those projects need KYC process better get it off. We need no protect our self for this. This is a bad idea for the users and bounty hunters also.

I don't recommend giving away personal informations though, your personal information might be leaked and that is not good.

This is the requirement of each ICO they do to prevent fraudulent cases, when there are people who make multiple nickname to enjoy the bounty unfairly.

If the one who receives our identity is the developer then you are not so worried, but if the bounty manager or any other party besides the team from the developer is better not to give your identity, it's just some reasons why there should be KYC to bounty is there are no multiple accounts or things disadvantage like that and that is reason enough decent in my opinion.

I don’t recognize this kind of behavior because it would reveal personal information. I’m very important for personal information. I believe most people think so.

rules are made to obey , so if we refuse to do that , leave it , but in positive opinion , maybe it is good enough to prevent cheaters , take a look at good point , if it reduce the cheaters , so the total participants will lower than before , so your stakes is more higher value , long live real bounty hunters

I would say ICO investments could result the faster mean of the best financial result in the middle term, but with KYC you have to be extra careful about it.

how do you mean to be careful! because there require your data and data of your residence, how can we get around this? buy a new passport?  Grin

I think it's a good sign for guys who like bounties.
so there will be less bounty campaign, but they all were verified that have good quality.

in the time that so much ICOs, don't really know what to chose.

I think that KYC is not good for all crypto lovers because unknown ICO's and companies collect your personal data like your passport, CNIC, Driving License ,residential address etc. so i think this is unfair.

The abbreviation KYC stands for Know Your Customer. Bounty hunters are not customers, we do not purchase anything from them, so technically they cannot ask bounty hunters KYC submission. Recently I have seen some scamming projects tend to do this to delay token payments.

I think KYC is not safe. Firstly, it does not guarantee the success of the project. Secondly, I give my personal data to unknown people.

For the survival of the crypto business world the KYC registration cant be avoided by most ICOs. These requirements are necessary for the protection of the investors, that's what they say.

On the one hand you send your ID to unknown project #1 for KYC.
On the other hand in a month a bad guy will buy your ID on Dark Web and do his own KYC with YOUR ID in project #2.    Grin
