Dabs, it seems that you are Director of coinxchange. Is that site fully operating already? Are there fees for withdrawal? How can I withdrawal? Only banks (which banks?) Or also methods like mlhuillier, cebuana, etc? Looks like it's really cheaper than BuyBitcoin.ph and also cheaper than the cheap remittance site I use right now, so I might use it.
Only 1% fees for buying / selling, which you can clearly see as you are buying / selling. Banks include: BPI BPIExpressOnline (using mobile app, or add it to your regular internet banking) BDO MetroBank UnionBank so far. Yah, use the link in my sig so I can track you. (Actually, we both get 200 PHP worth of bitcoin; aside from being Director, I'm also just another user.) Thanks. I did signup thru your link. Not sure if or when I will use it since these banks are not in my area NLNico, what bank or banks are close to you, or do you prefer?

I think we have LandBank, PNB and Allied Bank here. Both LandBank and PNB seem ok to me.
I'll check with my staff to see if any of those banks have branches nearby. thanks

Hi all
I am planning to visit the Philippines for around two weeks in mid June 2014, I will be heading to Cebu. Does anyone know if there are any Bitcoin meetups, events or any type of activities I could attend, or even just a meeting. Please PM me if your interested.

Jonny you may want to check out the Bitcoin PH group on Facebook ( https://www.facebook.com/groups/bitcoinph/). Meetups get posted there about once a month. The May one just took place, but the June one has not yet been scheduled.

PNB bought Allied Bank. Allied Bank is no more. But clients of Allied Bank may still have some trouble accessing their accounts in other PNB branches. You'll have to ask your former branch. If you are a new client, then you will probably open a new PNB account. If you just wish to do cash deposits, you don't even need to open an account. You'll only open one so you can withdraw to it.

Coinxchange.ph is now accepting cash deposits to PNB (Philippine National Bank), as well as withdrawals to PNB accounts. Soon we will also process withdrawals through Cebuana Lhullier and LBC and other remittance services.

This is a request that should be fufilled and hope to see some reputable exchanges earn business from that aspect of PHCoin to pesos exchange integration

Ah, I don't know the details of how that got set up, I was just making the announcement so people are aware. Launch your coin first, get a stable network with miners, then we'll see how it can be connected to the exchanges. Coinx would be a bonus, but ideally, you'd like PHCoin traded on the bigger crypto exchanges (cryptsy, polo, bittrex, rush?, ...)
Coinx follows a coinbase style exchange, it is not an "open market" type of exchange, so it will have to use another bigger exchange as basis for it's rates.
None of the other local Philippine exchanges have "open market" bid/sell types of structure, except for tagcash.

But now I feel a bit like a dick.. cuz actually right now I am considering more to get a LandBank account instead of PNB. I compared the 2 and for PNB I always need 3K in there (otherwise 300 peso fee per month) and need 10K to earn 0.125% interest. With LandBank I only need an average of 500 in there (and only 200 fee if not) and would already earn 0.25% (2x more) interest with that amount. Most times I probably have 3K in the bank, but I don't really like restrictions I will still consider. Obviously I think your exchange should accept PNB anyway, since they have a lot of branches, also in the province. But still I feel bad as it is partly after my "request" xD :X

Yeh the interest is close to worthless (and I do have investment at JD actually ) but the maintaining balance was mostly the surprise for me. I will have a look at BPI-Direct. I do not need a BPI branch here to join/use that?

Yeh the interest is close to worthless (and I do have investment at JD actually ) but the maintaining balance was mostly the surprise for me. I will have a look at BPI-Direct. I do not need a BPI branch here to join/use that? You will need to go ONCE to any BPI branch to open it. Go to bpidirect.com and open your account there. Then they require you to submit to any branch your usual documents for account opening. Then ever since I opened mine 2 years ago, I have never gone back to that branch, although it is quite near me. All my transfers have either been online or I ask other people to deposit to my account. I withdraw cash through the ATM machines. (You can also deposit some cash at some ATM machines.) The interest rate is also higher. 0.5% (That is 4 times more! yahh!) Like I actually care about my 5 pesos for the 1000 I have sitting in my account, PER YEAR. The online banking allows you to transfer from your BPI account to any other BPI account, nationwide. It's almost as good as bitcoin. You do need to use the mobile app to do new accounts you have not yet added. PM me when you have one open, then send me 1000 to test. I'll send it back the same day.

Thanks for the information.
But the closest BPI bank is like 5 hours traveling for me. I understand in theory you only need to go there once, but it doesn't seem ideal to me (LandBank and PNB are 2 mins walking.) Also there is no BPI ATM on the island so I would need to pay P15 every time I want to withdraw some money (obviously wouldn't kill me, but doesn't seem rational if others can be free.)
BTW I noticed some other coin exchanges in PH just offer like 3 bank deposit options and 10+ withdrawal options. Isn't it possible to just send money from any of your exchanges' bank to any other bank in the Philippines? In the Netherlands there aren't really fees for that, just takes 1 more day, is there any option for that in the PH?

This is where decentralization comes in, and meets services that expand on it. Cryptsy already has voting enabled for PHCoin (PHC) on its voting system, and so does Comkort, C-CEX? Would love to see Bittrex, but we are driven by the best service to support, we love any encouragement and ideas through the community, since this is part of the distribution. PHCoin isn't an ownership, its accountability with community driven leaders... are you the right driver? What does the distribution mean? 1. Escrow funded in PHC 2. Distributed if milestone completed 3. Disclosure of block information, transactions, and other details. with your permission, Dabs?

This is fun, how do i join? see you in the thread:) and hope you do consider offering to accept PHC. Which do you like if you did accept it? option A) Real Coin with Accept Here Logoor... Option B) the New Addition of the Philippines top 3 Island colors mixed into the Logo DesignYou decide, put a poll about this if you wish. Anyone can offer anything for sale or as a service payment with PHCoin The Philippines was the nature of this goal, stimulating the job opportunities; starting and expanding outward towards millions of Jobless people.
