* don't use a public free wifi (Mcdonalds, starbucks,etc...)
*don't download files with the pc that you are using for cryptos.
*don't store your coins on exchanges.

Hackers scare me a lot. The thing is: I am scared therefore I cannot withdraw my coins to my hardware wallet but also scared so cannot keep them on the exchanges...

Well, we should not be afraid of hackers because they can not make a move if the company site are always upgrading there security system. Beside, if i have have a huge coin i will divide it by 4 and spread it or stored to other company  a main purpuse is to avoid from stilling all my coin. Or else just store in a offline or cold storage for them that is safe and secured.

Of course I'm afraid of hackers. You can protect yourself if you do not keep money on the stock exchange. Must to use complex passwords, double authentication, and hardware wallets. Maybe this will help.

no. it's really not hard. all of the information you need is out there. what happens is that most people are too damn lazy to put it into action. it sucks for them but almost all hacks can be avoided if you're careful.

hardware or paper wallet, offline computer, no phone based 2fa, 2fa everywhere, dedicated crypto machine if you do need to go online.

you can't avoid hacks on exchanges of course, but you should also be clever enough not to leave anything on there. that latest japanese hack looks like it was 100% down to their bad practices.

I am scared of crypto in general, as most of the coins don´t even have built in mechanisms to even detect, for example, that you are sending ETH to an address that does not exists. Hackers, well, I have so little that it does not make sense to try to steal it.

We NEED to be afraid of hackers, and we have to take any precaution against them.
Like it or not, our computers are very vulnerable, and it's better to look paranoid that to lose all our money.

Btw, hackers have easy life just because stupid mistakes and distraction: with a little attention, it's not so difficult to be protected.

Not afraid at all to be honest but that is because I know how they do what they do, so I know how to avoid it (most common hacking attempts).

To the people that are afraid of hackers here are some tips for you.

- When signing up for a online wallet/exchange use a brand new email and password. This is help stop bruteforcing attacks. Also never use that email and password for any other website.

- If storing coins on your own computer make sure it is a clean computer or even by a brand new basic computer that will only be used to store your coins. Also only have the computer online if doing transfers.

- Think before you act, many people fall for click bate ads so much definitely here. If the offer sounds to good to be true it is. These links can go to phishing websites, JavaScript injection links, exploited websites or even running exploits to download there payload.

- Dont download random files from the internet, even in the ordinary world it's a bad idea. It can help to run the file through virus total before running but even then your not safe there is such thing called a crypter so virus scanners can be pretty useless at times.

All in all if ou don't want to get hacked you need to be more aware of what you are doing online. What I put above is just the basics and I'm sure there are some other good tips people could also post.

i'm not talking the phone itself, i should've said sms based. there've been a bunch of publicised hacks where hackers took control away of people's sim cards by social engineering the phone companies to transfer the number to them. hey presto, instant 2fa access to their coinbase account or whatever.

Probably ,im so afraid of hackers ,even though i have only small asset in my wallet,thats why i make  a P2P account in my wallet to protect all my penny  long term investment.hackers are strikes anywhere,they not looking you are richest or a simple people as long they,can hacked you and satisty there personal needs, they always attacked, that's why i must probably secure my wallet that have best wall defense against hacking system and i trusted so much my local exchange wallet.

There's no need to be afraid in hackers because we have 2fa here or private keys so even they know your password and information about your account still they can't withdraw your coins.To avoid anything scam here i think don't click any link and listen first if soneone already post that here like they register in binance if you don't that exchanger don't register there and ask first if it's legit.
