Recently Bloomberg posted the information that it took hackers less than 10 years to steal over 14% of all existing Bitcoins and Ethereum from the wallets of their holders. The total sum they have stolen is more than $1,2 billion! How to protect yourself from hackers attacks? Are you afraid of this stuff?

I'm not afraid of hackers. If you do not take care of your security, hackers can steal money from a bank card. I think that money is stealing only from those who do not observe basic security rules.

Actually it just is not enough to pay attention. Only momentary carelessness or a momentary mistake can lead to the theft of all our information.
So we should not trust anything at all Smiley

The Bitcoin software, network, and concept is called "Bitcoin" with a capitalized "B". Bitcoin currency units are called "bitcoins" with a lowercase "b" -- this is often abbreviated BTC.

You should use cold storage to avoid fishing,  be careful of clicking unknown sites don't put your passwords wherever, keep everything secured and private, install anti-virus software.

Ahh I am not afraid of hackers,  they can't target individual if we don't make any mistakes. If we are more careful they can't do anything. But if they have the wallets directory we can't control it. Like that nice hash crash few months ago. We can't control it.

I'm very afraid of hackers, because i like to install unofficial application in my computer,
even fill the form that require our e-mail,
but now, i haven't do something like that anymore, it's very dangerous for us if we do that.

Yes obviously, my main fear is that what if hackers could hack exchanges, who will take responsibility of our money? if it gets hacked who will return back?

Today there is a big risk associated with hackers. And each of us is afraid. But to be afraid a little, it is necessary to search for ways of protection and to be more competent in this question. The big problem is that most of us do not attach importance to security until they lose their money.

Iam very afraid of hacker because more than 70% my money can acces by online include all my digital asset. And to avoid it i always use 2 step verification in every account and also for the exchange of crypto i used multiple exchange because will be too risky if put all money in 1 exchange. Other than that i used also anti virus in all my device.

Of course I do. I have been doing everything needed to protect my account, my wallet and my personal computer from hackers. I think the first thing we should do to protect ourselves from the hackers is to learn about them, learn how they can hack our accounts, our wallets, our personal computer. Only by Understanding the hackers can you protect yourself from being attacked.

It is a very bad news and I think we can find ways to avoid it before it happens.

Nobody in his right mind can say he's not afraid or he doesn't need to be necessary afraid only precautious. The thread is real, for this reason it's best to spend few more bucks on hardware wallet, that way the risks are lowered to minimum. Make sure not to underestimate the threat of being hacked.

Honestly i think the fear is unwarranted in most cases.

It's really unlikely that you'll ever be hacked if you don't go on scammy / phishing links or download viruses. The only reason you'd get hacked is if your wallet site got hacked, in which case, nothing you really cand do, so rip.

Wow, 1 to 2 billion.  I am afraid sometimes in  hackers because I experience that someone get my coins in my wallet, I have coins from facebook campaign Worth 13k peso. That is why I am afraid a little, but lately I realizes how hacker get my money is because I did mistake because hacker are sending some ads to get your wallet so, avoid clicking the ads if you dont know what it is.

Afraid or not it is relative, I always install GA or 2FA to protect my wallet and keep my personal information security, I think that is enough for me to protect wallets from hackers, unless they attack the wallet site we use it I am a little afraid.

I think if hackers will want to steal YOUR money they will do it anyway, no antivirus will save you. The only way to save your deposits is to save them on cold or hardware wallets
