Of course! Who could not be afraid of them? Hackers has a lot of improve and modern on which they can hack even a high security stuffs, so it's not safe at all. We can't stop them but we can prevent them. First of all never trust anyone, strangers or friend. Unless it is ur very close fried and you trust him the most. Never trust your personal information with anyone, because this might use against you. Never trust your wallet key to anyone but you please keep on a safe place on which only you will no, encrypt it and put hight security password. Always think before you click, think before you made decision. Be wise we already know what is right, sometimes out instinct is right so try to never have a doubt on your instinct.

What ever money we earned is our hard work and lot of effort also lot of time involved in it we sacrifice lot of things to save money and some one very easily hack and swipe our whole money is not acceptable. Only stupid people are not afraid of anything in the world. I think you need to be careful not to neglect your money. Of course, everything can not be taken into account and avoid all bad. And at any time you can be an attacked hacker. However, you need to try to reduce these risks to a minimum.

I wonder how they figured out how much bitcoins were stolen about? Where did they get such information at all?
I doubt that every 2 people reported it somewhere.
But in general, if it is really so, it's very sad.

Recently Bloomberg posted the information that it took hackers less than 10 years to steal over 14% of all existing Bitcoins and Ethereum from the wallets of their holders. The total sum they have stolen is more than $1,2 billion! How to protect yourself from hackers attacks? Are you afraid of this stuff?
Of course I am afraid and everyone should be. To avoid getting hacked do not click unnecessary sites(click bait) this is most common method to hack, my friend's etherwallet was hacked because of clicking and logging in on a fake myetherwallet site.

I think everyone of us are afraid of hackers. These persons behind walls and a stranger to us can snatch us even physically not with us. That is how dangerous they are. But even they are too knowledgeable about codes, computers, the social media, the internet itself one thing we can do is prevention. Because we are on the cryptocommunity, which many of these members  earns a lot in crypto, has to take responsibility of their own private keys. These keys are so important that we forgot its worth. Try to bookmark etherscan in your computer and use it to check you ethereum balance. Never to put or use your private key always and always check the website of etherwallet. Remember we must outsmart hackers through prevention. Stay safe.

Yes, im afraid of it. We all afraid from it because we use technologies which hackers expertise. Maybe my advice for us is be secured. Especially in our account, don't give your password to others and dont log in anywhere if you dont know if you are secured. Example in a shop, you should log in when you are at home and alone. Smiley

So many people get misinformed when they read about hackers and Bitcoin in the same line. Everyone should practice good security, this doesn't mean you have to be afraid of hackers. Just as you should always practice careful driving, no need to be afraid of bad drivers. Practice good personal security, no need to be afraid of thieves or kidnappers. Hackers exploit IT systems, they look for vulnerabilities and trick human users. Bitcoin itself has not actually been hacked and will not be for a long time.

I agree with you. I think Bitcoin is the safest bet right now. Yes, the prices swing a lot but in terms of security and safety, I think Bitcoin is the safest bet out there. NEM recently got hacked but then again, investors were not affected because the exchange promised to refund the money back to the investors

Anybody who isn't afraid of hackers.
How can i prevent hackers hack my account ? As a newbie ofcourse I am afraid of hackers.
First you need to do is to choose safest wallet - I can suggest you myetherwallet (they have really strong security system), than invest only if you 100% sure, third - never send a private keys to anyone.

Yes!  Thats why as a bitcoiner, investor and trader we must be careful in our earnings or profit. We must use a safest wallet that have a strong security.  Aside from that we must also be wise in filling up the forms in airdrop and be vigilant  in joining bounties/ ICO's.

Really, hackers need to be afraid. They are very clever people. The most important thing is not to make mistakes yourself (do not jump on suspicious links, do not go to phishing sites). The main percentage of thefts is due to the fault of the user. So you need to be very careful and do not lose your money.

i think all of us are vulnerable to hackers (correct me if im wrong). I dont know how this hackers work or who are their targets but one thing is for sure there is no stoping them if they have a propect. What we can avoid is scam just be vigilant and dont fall to any good to be true stuffs.

Indeed, we do not want hackers to be objects. We must abide by the rules that we need to abstain from them. We will always be careful that we can be safe.

I can see why people would be afraid of hackers, but i don't think it is something to worry about if you take the appropriate measures to prevent being hacked.

There is also an upcoming ICO that will offer secure and highly encrypted storage for your personal data. (Wills, login credentials, identification documents, etc.)
The name of that ICO is DIWtoken.
