I predict that governments will eventually mandate use of the country's home currency for any transaction for any product or service and explicitly make using cryptocurrency for this purpose illegal.

Well it almost is possible for that to happen and before the government all over the world to ban bitcoin, because that will lead to stopping of so many things e.g like eliminating internet connection because once the is internet connection then bitcoin transactions will still take place.

Why should I pay taxes on something I never had? I only have it if I bring it back into fiat. Now I realize there are those spending their crypto without ever converting it back to fiat. So it's complicated.
The government is not interested in your logic; in any case, they need to collect taxes, even for air. |

Nice post! i actually realize that Crypto is part of the internet era. For sure there are people who thinks old age still dominant, Crypto is evolving and probably we can use it for digital payments buy/sell goods. in many countries a decision has already been made to ban crypto currency. Somehow they manage to exchange the crypto currency in that it is a threat to their national security. But only in concrete I have no say. |

It is a possibility and because most of the Herd follow governments and mass media, Crypto will become something of a small high tech specialized market soon only for some interested investors and crypto currency enthusiasts. It already has gone to pre Nov 2017 levels and will go back to July levels at this rate. So basically we have lost a year of profits now, for all of us that held faithfully to our coins and crypto holdings. I do not see a bright future right now for the crypto faithful, it is being manipulated by the big forces that be, so too many of us got caught out.
Hopefully that won't happen. Usualy governments follow the masses, as the masses legitimate the governments. Crypto has to become a thing, it's the only way our society can progress. |
