Have there been cases in history when progress was stopped? I think no. Progress can only be slowed down

Right... I highly doubt that the crypto world can ever be stopped by govts especially since buying/selling them are not bound within a country's regulations. On the other hand, if local businesses are banned from taking part in transacting with crypto, we can't find many uses for it which in turn slows its progress down.

of course, it can. in some countries, for example in Russia, cryptocurrency is still not officially allowed. there are other countries that will follow the example of Russia, the cryptocurrency in the world can die.

"Regardless, just because South Korea, China, the US and other countries can crush Bitcoin by issuing new regulations and influencing cryptocurrency prices, it doesn’t mean they can kill it".  The above quote is from the research information I got when I was trying to find out why world government is fighting crypto. Please read the full text here: https://www.ccn.com/fighting-bitcoin-cryptocurrency-trading-threat-government-policies/ and make your own contributions. It will help cool the nerves from the crypto dip we are experiencing recently. Happy reading. Thanks
the government has control over everything that happens in the country, it has the right to dispose of Internet resources,it is easy for them to destroy the whole crypto world

I don't think that governments of all countries will be able to prohibit crypto-currency. Some countries prohibit and impose restrictions. But at the same time other countries encourage working with crypto-currencies.

Can world Government Kill Crypto?

There is no world Government, only country Governments.

To answer your question, no, they can't kill crypto, if they could, it would be dead.

good information for the crypto. by reading this article I can be a little relieved, because before I was panicked and afraid that bitcoin will die. hopefully in the future of bitcoin added expensive and more and more demand from various countries, and no country will try to kill bitcoin again.

I don't think any form of government, state, organization, company or individual could stop or kill crypto as we are now facing to the future.
blockchain technology is widely adapted by countries due to it's securities or tamper proof electronic processing so crypto adaptation today is increasing as companies and countries this year are slowly transforming their financial aspects into blockchain technology.
This crypto and blockchain is the most important invention of the century so no one is going to stop or kill crypto where this technology could help each county or state to advance their economy and their financial will be protected.

Government only can prohibited Bitcoin but it's can't end Crypto because we all know that Crypto are decentralized currencies and no one can manipulate and killed on it. World government can't killed Crypto because investors are trusting on it and as long as Crypto community support it and believe on it, i think it will never ends.

Well, for me. one of the reasons why governments or states aren't killing or stopping crypto is because it is a transparent and tamper proof electronic process where it could help in many cases into transparency as most of the cryptocurrencies today are transparent in transactions.
some Countries and states are adapting and developing their own blockchain because they see the potential of the blockchain technology that could help them to stabilize their economy.
many people are earning money through crypto as well.

In my opinion they can.
Look what happened in Russia with there Telegram.
They just blocked it. Because the government of Russia wanted to read all the messages. And when Pavel Durov, the creator of Telegram said NO to them, they just blocked it.
The same thing can be with a bitcoin as well.

the only thing that government can control crypto is to regulate crypto related transaction as the crypto exchanges are under the sovereign state.
In my country, Philippines, it is one of the crypto friendly country where more filipinos are earning money through crypto and of course our government also is taking taxes before we get our earnings.
some countries like Philippines aren't that too tight on regulating crypto because our economy doesn't affected by crypto adaptation.

I think they can not. Because even when theres a union of all gouverments of the world together who will forbid and bann bitcoin, it will be not possible. Because the community and all the devs will be more motivated then ever to let the bitcoin blockchain network running. So they could try it, but they would start a war which they can not win. The people would find always other way to bypass these bannings and censorship from the gouverments. So it would be a bad idea!

For me, i believe that they cannot kill cryptocurrency. Because usually government follow the masses, as the masses legitimate the governments and even when theres a union of all government around the world who will ban bitcoin, it will never be happened.

I doubt that, because today there are so many people who like and want crypto as their trade and investment. if it is true that the government wants to kill the world of crypto, I am sure there will be considerable conflict between society and government.

Naturally, governments do not want cryptocurrency to develop because they are afraid of losing power when people can make their own money, which causes the government not to collect taxes, money laundering.

I am confident that such a step is simply impossible. Even in a situation where all governments unite for this, a certain drop in the price of a coin is possible, but it will not be possible to completely destroy it.

Are you saying that the governments of all countries are united? I think that if all countries unite to resist cryptocurrencies, even if cryptocurrencies can't be killed, they will never recover from it.

I think if theres some big gouverments who will start to work together, they could make a huge damage to the bitcoin value. I dont think that they could kill it like the network will go down and there will be no more notes available. But it would be ery hard for the gouverments, and that would mean that they would start a war against the internet community. And i dont think that they could win these war, because on the pro cryptocurrency site there are way more talented hackers Wink

They can really affect bitcoin and to slow its progression, but it is unlikely that absolutely all countries decide to abandon the use of bitcoin. That's stupid.
if the government know about crypto there are possibility that they kill crypto because we all know that government will push this altcoin to have taxes they will kill it if they cant collect taxes to everybody that using this or maybe even to the main source of this crypto or they will stop using all crypto in the Philippines if they don't collect taxes.
