no,government cannot completely kill cryptocurrencies at all cause of their decentralized nature. They may only block transactions possibly in local markets, so they can damage but not kill..

Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

Ofc the government can ban crypto-currencies by issuing appropriate laws, the question is how this will happen in reality. It will be just one more another meaningless and useless war like prohibition, war with the terrorism, the war on drugs, etc.

To my mind, there is no real way to kill the crypto market since it has a lot of support all over the world and it is not something that has a substance because it is a well designed and powerful technology.

It can be minimize but it can't be kill as long as there is internet. Well maybe someday they'll develop a quantum computing machine that can bypass the blockchain.

I think government feel hard to kill crypto currency since this is discentralise currency and look about bitcoin there are some country already banned bitcoin but still more people who are using bitcoin without a trace from government.

They are now trying to kill crypto-currencies, because very many are not clean on hand, and decentralization and blockchain will be able to accurately identify those people who violate the laws, they understand this and therefore want to kill the crypto-currencies.

Yes it can because of the main reason that crypto is created to serve the workd so we can also kill it as we are the one of use for it.

I think that most developed countries are now democratic, so now this is not possible. People just will not let it happen. Even in dictatorships, it is not possible to completely ban anything.

They have very serious levers of management, so there is a very big opportunity to fence people from crypto-currency, so the crypto-currency world will not receive proper attention and will soon die. This can happen. Smiley

There is no need to kill crypto. Government can banned crypto but cannot killed. And I think Bitcoin has many positive impact rather than negative so surely it will be accepted by world government soon.

I think that they absolutely can not because blockchain is an independent phenomena which will exist no matter what happens. Of course, they may apply serious pressure on those who use crypto, but still there will be users.

No, I don't think the government has the ability to kill cryptocurrencies. Unless a quantum computer is born, it will take decades or even hundreds of years. Therefore, the value of cryptocurrency cannot be destroyed and can only be devalued.

They have been on the neck and head of Cryptocurrecy ,trying to make it impossible for investors to lost interest of investing but all effort have been proved abortive, which means if it is possible they will  put it to an end but it is quit impossible especially when some Government have approve of it to be legal.

I hear a lot of people say can government kill a big market like crypto market, my common answer is that government can only kill crypto if they can shutdown the internet. If its not possible to shutdown the internet then you cannot kill crypto.

I do not think that they will do this, they realized that cryptocurrencies are the future and they can be used for good things.

governments could hardly kill krypto currencies in the first time, but now the crypto has become very strong, the number of participants has increased. It is still supported by some governments and it will never die

In my opinion, countries are trying to reduce the influence of mathematical algorithms as well as bitcoin, but this is sometimes the only legitimate news of market fluctuations in that time.

It is impossible to only one government to kill the cryptocurrencies but if the most countries/government has banned cryptocurrencies it might be the reason why our community will collapse, because who will support our currency if there is no country who supported it ? but it is not going to happen because some countries like venezuela has already supported the use of cryptocurrencies.
