I get these messages as well, but has no noticeable impact on performance...

dont know but....

it looks like the errors you would get on a hard drive, up on unpacking a file that has some damage to it...

i'm not so technicel to analyse this error -> but 2 minners shut down -> and i have to restart the cgminer by hand....
its not good, i cant sit 24/7 i front of the miner's... grml.... is there an solution ?
did you change the default miner settings? Are they not running too hot (like > 55C, do they suck in cool air)?

ne -> the ambient temp is around 17 - 25C -> the miner runs at 38 - 50 C

The block chain is the main innovation of Bitcoin. It is the first distributed timestamping system.

what are you miner settings at this moment.  did you check if the temp. sensors are properly seated between the cooling fins so the temp. readings are reliable (in mine they were sticking out in one of the desks)

its not good, i cant sit 24/7 i front of the miner's... grml.... is there an solution ?

If i am right...

The errors can mean 2 things...

1, you have a bad sector on your disk, on your raspberrypi, disk: w1_slave_driver 28-000005cc638d

If this is the case, the solution is normal to run scandisk on your drive, let it block out or sort the bad sectors, re-install any damage data when done (this is for HDD disk only, not SSD disk)...

2, you only have damage files on your raspberrypi, disk: w1_slave_driver 28-000005cc638d

If this is the case, the normal solution is to re-install all data to disk to make sure all corrupted files are restored...

Both are, for most part, do to the disk get bump/shocks on handling, transport or other moving it around (or age, but its all suppose to be new stuff, so...) (Also heavy magnetic fields can do this, but that's very unlikely)

This is no problem on a normal computer, running normal OS (like windows or linux)...

But on your miner.... might be a problem, if you did not back up the disk on the raspberrypi device before use (not the miner but your control device or what ever you whona call it),

I have no miner OR raspberrypi device so i cant see what software or hardware they provide or what disk partition installations they might have made....
(knowing bitmine.ch's normal work, my guess is their is no partition installation on it and it just a raw OS on a single partition, that means you need new softwae from other location then the disk it selvf, aka; backup/re-instal disks or other medium)

Their was a firmware update at some point, you might be lucky to be able to reinstall using that some how...

But its also only if i am right in my view of the problem;) but i am 90 % sure that that's is the problem Wink

Also if i am right, it is the raspberrypi's disk their is the problem, NOT the miner, 2 other fixes to this, cut be, to replace the device completely or to run your miner by a computer, not the raspberrypi's device you bought as extra device...

I know that its crappy solutions, but unless you have the software to re-install the disk on the raspberrypi device, it can be a big problem doing any thing else about it;)

Sorry

Your welcome...

If it helps im just happy about it;P

In any case its a read error of some kind,

And i have NEVER seen a CRC read error, their was not disk/corruption of data related... (but their is a first time for every thing so i don't say that it is impossible)

And even if i think about what else cut make and error like that the only other thing i can come up whit is if its a memory error, (but also a "slave driver" is a normal TAG for a disk, and it looks like a disk name, so i doubt it)

But if its a mem problem, then their shut be other signs also, errors on in boot section and so on and you would be fuckt any way...

I would still say that my first view of the problem is the most likely Wink

And my suggestions are only normal to run in any event of a system failure on any system, so test it out...

If it don't help, your only option would be to send it back to bitmine.ch (becurse then its a hardware error on your memory, and you cant fix that yor selvf, or at least you need equipment, tools and a lot of knowledge to do it your selvf)

And good luck on getting them to fix it .... LOL

But at least test the MINER on a computer before involving bitmine.ch, i would not even trust that they would send you new hardware if you send it back to them....  Wink

Still might only be the raspberrypi device, their is a problem even if it is memory problem, which i still doubt Wink

A low grade laptop or something shut be more then enorf to run the miner on, so unless you live in a really bad place in the world, it shut not be a problem of finding/borrow one you can test it on before taking more steps Wink

"Bank limits" was the mantra of MtGOX

It may well be the same kind of "bank limits": insufficient funds.
Cashflow problems don´t mean a company is defaulting.

The problem is that manufacturers have equipment and components and chips that they need to assemble and ship to customers.
They have to use atleast parts of their money to buy all this.

I would give them some time to ship to existing customers, eventually everyone should receive their gear and if they want to their refund.

I apologize for my English. I want to say that the company Bitmine.ch, fulfill their obligations. Why hold the hype surrounding this company? Until recently, I read forums about Bitmine.ch. Of all written one could conclude that the company is cheating all. But it is not! I ordered them miners at the end of December 2013. Delay was 2 months, but I got + miners compensation that has been agreed. Mr. Kerim, he wrote to me and offered me the option. I agreed with him. A few days later, I received a notice from Bitmine.ch and UPS.
Question: Do you think that competitors Bitmine.ch, specifically leave negative feedback, so lured to his buyers.
I believe that the difficulties that have been in the company, they have already mastered. Otherwise I would not get my miners.
I got my miners. Now I do not doubt the honesty of Bitmine.ch.
You just need to find a compromise. Do not write negative reviews and escalate the situation. Try to negotiate.

One brand new account for one happy customer... RARA AVIS ! To good to be true !
Dude, give us a break and mine in peace with your Coincraft Desk, because I bet not a single Rig was ever produced !
Stop being so double faced !
We haven't received any ASIC or any refund ! Some of us live real drama because this unserious Bitmine.ch don't respect his obligations !

Apr 29 18:35:24 raspberrypi user.warn kernel: [1078067.485718] w1_slave_driver 28-000005cc638d: Read failed CRC check

If i am right...

The errors can mean 2 things...

1, you have a bad sector on your disk, on your raspberrypi, disk: w1_slave_driver 28-000005cc638d

If this is the case, the solution is normal to run scandisk on your drive, let it block out or sort the bad sectors, re-install any damage data when done (this is for HHD disk only, not SSD disk)...

Sorry

realy thanks, i will test it...

Again I get these warnings all the time on all three desks I got here but it doesn't have a real impact on mining so far so I think it is sort of normal behaviour for these devices (or it got to do with the firmware version I'm running 201404251907 which came with the box (and is slightly newer of what is published on Bitmines website))

Hello fellow man.  I have been following this threat for months now,  from late shipment to faulty product & now problems with refunds.  I had an order March 3rd week delivery which has now been canceled!!.  I am fed up of waiting for this company!!! I took a risk of ordering a desk yes,  but the risk was late shipment NOT LATE REFUND OR NO REFUND!!!!!!!

This is my first post and my user name reflects my frustration with this company.  I live in a third world country if bitmine would have been on time with the order I could have provided for all of my family every month!! NOW I'M JUST LEFT WITH HATE, WONDERING IF I CAN GET MY MONEY BACK TO TRY AND MAKE THINGS RIGHT AGAIN.

GEORGIO as far as I am concerned you have a loan with me at the moment and I will start demanding interest on the money you have loaned from me every day after the 30th day of cancellation.  You already have my FEE SCHEDULED which I have mailed registered post to you.  $5000 per day every day of late payment of the refund!!!!!

I WILL NEVER LET THIS GO UNTIL I HAVE MY HARD EARNED MONEY BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Im NOT related to Bitmine, just a customer like everyone else.
Instead of trolling, complaining, accusing, making threads etc here,
its more wise to phone them up.

Do you really think with all past 180+ pages of sick comments,
people of Bitmine will still be reading this thread?
And if they did, do you think they will react on in it sooner?
muwhahaha  Grin

lol like phoning them helps any thing at all ;S

(i don't say that threads are better, but it also don't make a diff to stay silent)

They do still read it, they just don't comment on any thing any more, her or other wise (that's, phone, mail and support tickets, all on ignore or keep you calm talk/more lies ;S ) ....

In many cases, small data corruption wont have a big effect if its not critical files that have errors...

Like i can have 1 million tekst documents that has data corruption, and it would have 0 effect on the system at all...

So even whit the same error, it can be, that, its more critical files that has damage on his system, if he need to constant restart the miner by hand it sounds more critical then on your system Wink

But i am fare from perfect, so i might also just be wrong, its hard to be sure when i don't have the hardware and software my self to explore how they made it work....

My knowledge comes from normal IT support (my work) and i have also bin wrong before....;P

But at least/in any case, my tests/solutions for him are harmless, so if he have big problems whit the miner constant crashing, i would try it out Wink

I was making a statement on the record.  That's all this thread is. When the evidence of fraudulent behavior for bitmine is put before the courts I want my case to be on the record.   I never said or implied that you worked for bitmine & don't you think you are just trolling hanging around this thread jumping on peoples opinions and commenting on them?
