HOW TO STOP HACKERS TO HACK YOUR CRYPTO WALLET
Protect yourself from cyber criminals

Good day to all of you guys I am EdsnowAngel a programmer and a bit security tester in different platforms. Now I heard to my friends a lot of concerns saying "please help me my bitcoin wallet was hacked!!"
Ok ok first thing first when your bitcoin wallet gets compromised then your funds was send in different wallet then it is irreversible meaning no return of funds!! so I wanna tell everyone how to protect your bitcoin wallet from such kind of situation.

1st: Protect your GMAIL or EMAIL ACCOUNT

We all know we use GMAIL as our email provider for such accounts like blockchain then we can recover and approve login with email in some wallets, now when your email account was targeted and get compromised then say goodbye to your bitcoin. To secure your bitcoin wallet(ex: blockchain or other) go to your google account settings. and then turn on the 2FA(2nd factor authentication) here is the guide on how to do it: STEP BY STEP GUIDE

2nd: Use your own DEVICE or COMPUTER/PHONE

It's a very bad idea to use someones device(ex:from friend) to make a transaction in your bitcoin wallet why? because first you don't know what is the capability of that person regarding that matters and you don't know if that phone has a lot of malwares and spywares. So we cannot say that you are safe using someones device to make transactions.

3rd: Always backup you PK's or PRIVATE KEYS

This is the most important thing to remember for everyone using your ETH or BTC wallet without backing up your Private keys then you can't recover you wallet in case you forgot your wallet.PK's are very important but there are thing you should do first. Make sure you store your PK backup somewhere that you only know and not from your computer because there are some spyware that might inside of your computer that can steal that file so make sure you back it up print in a paper and hide it to the place where you only know.

4th: Don't open links from malicious emails

This method was called email phishing where an attacker will send the same email in thousands of random users once the victim will click the link in that email then his or her device was compromised to avoid this please do not click the links included in the email immediately please always have time to check who is the sender of that email and if that email is came from the site where it supposed to came from.

5th: Do not trust PUBLIC WIFI

It's quite good to have access with free wifi's but have you think this: IS THIS A SAFE NETWORK? without you knowing maybe some of the people connected to that same network may have idea and skill on how to sniff passwords and credentials this method was so called DNS SPOOFING or SNIFFING if you want to use public wifi then use it not just with your bitcoin transactions.

6th: Do not login on Suspicious links

This method is called PHISHING where an attacker  will send you a link to login with your bitcoin wallet luring you with the legitimate site example is:
the real site is: https://www.blockchain.info/
the fake site is: http://www.blockchain.ga/

then once you login to the fake site then the hacker or attacker will have now your credentials. Please always check for the green lock on the url bar and the word HTTPS in the link.

so this are some of the way to stop hackers to hack your bitcoin or crypto wallet. If you have other information then you can comment it down and lets help others.

Good read mate. I guess the case and point here is just be careful with keeping your wallet information. Some people just drag it out like wet cloth, especially when enrolling in airdrops and other "free" coin offerings. One should know that that's a way for some hackers to actually get your wallet information and from there crack it up to steal away your holdings. A person must do whatever it takes to protects his wallet because it's the life blood of all his coins.

Bitcoin mining is now a specialized and very risky industry, just like gold mining. Amateur miners are unlikely to make much money, and may even lose money. Bitcoin is much more than just mining, though!

Well our safety is indeed always in our own hands and that's our advantage. The problem is hackers will never stop until they got the opportunity of stealing our wallet. Avoiding them has so many ways so let me break it down. Don't you ever use your account in other site that you're not familiar. Other thing is to keep it on yourself whatever happens unless otherwise required.

Since I've been here for so long I've gain experience and knowledge of their works. We could really stop them but it's not easy because they will force their will to get what they want. You must stand firm and don't you ever give any information about your account to avoid them. Any form of mistake is their weapon so be smart enough.

Some get really creative in storing their keys. Some have them engraved on steel then stored in a safe, some encrypt them in music files, while others have them tatooed on their skin. Smiley

We all must be very careful with our wallets. I guess it many people are saving their keys on the internet. Only to think about it it is not safe. The best way is to write it on a piece of paper and put in the case.

This is a good information. For safe keeping purposes our wallets should have 2 factor authentication to better security and keep the private keys carefully and always secure back ups. Do not entrust to others the private keys because that would be the end of the security of your wallet.

That's right having those precautions needs to be followed in order to avoid hackers to have some chance to penetrate  from our wallets, security
measures should took place in order for them to have difficulty or much better not to do anything harm, if you have a lots of money from your
wallet you have to make it more secured.

I agree, you are right with it. And this is the basic and of course the most important thing we must do in our wallet because it's our hard earned work and we need it in our everyday financial needs.

just be careful, do not visit third-party sites, do not leave your keys on websites, and best of all it's cold wallets they are not so expensive, but they fully justify themselves and are comfortable enough in their use!

Many mistakes happen on point no 6, those who do not understand much about internet technology are stuck on the pishing site. Here I think we need to be more social about it. and some friends I found also complained about it. credit for you Cheesy

Thanks for the wonderful information shared. Stopping hackers hacking your crpto wallet means that you have to keep your private key save. Don't keep your private key together with your wallet so that you don't submit your private key by mistake. Also save it in a flash drive or Note pad.

For me it seems qiute simple. You just need to follow simple rules and be careful with your passwords and keys. Try to store your coins on the different wallets and diversify your portfolio.

Everyone should always be cautious enough to not be hacked. Remember that only you can give the hackers the power to hack you. Just be careful of clicking some links here and there. This post is really useful for everyone. thanks for this.

Keeping away your pprivate keys and passphrases to hard drives that you are the only to have access is a start. Another is not clicking on suspicious links that can potentially be Trojan viruses that can steal information
