So I basically got fomoed. Towards the end of 2017 I saw how high bitcoin skyrocketed and decided to invest in ripple as a test. Less than one week it went up 3x. This made me more ballsy and I put in 11k total in various other alt coins like ripple, ethos, tron, and cardano. After the crash I lost about half of my value just like that. I am frustrated with the experience and wish I would have just put in 1k or something. I wish I could just not invested and went into what I was doing earlier which was just investing the boring and traditional way. Should I wait and hodl or pull out and do something else?
This is the art of investment, maybe if now does not stop growing maybe you will regret why just put 11k and not 50k. My advice is if you still believe in this technology, keep hold it. Maybe in the future you will not regret it.

The answer is simple - as long as you don't sell in minus you aren't in minus, so yeah, hodl.
I had similar issue when bought my first cryptos back in 2017, some of them i did bought at a fantastic cheap prices, and some at their high peaks.
In less then one year every single coin in my portfolio gave me profit at the end of 2017, when market was bullish - i did partly exit.
Remember to buy when everyone is selling, to sell when everyone is trying to buy. Don't be afraid to miss profit on some coins, it's normal you can't catch all the money on the market. Stay cool and wait for your coins to gain value again.

I think it`s better to wait for a more favorable moment for coin sales. If u succumb to panic and sell coins, then u definitely lost 50% of the funds. But u didnt lose ur money until u sold the coins.

You should have planned a certain indicator wher you have to cut your loses. But you can hold it for long and never mind it until the value have grown higher. It will take probably some years of holding if you are patient enough.

I also agree with you because if you panic then the funds you have will not return all  because of loss, you have to be patient and must be optimistic that the price can go back up because cryptocurrency is full of surprises and possibly can happen.

The market has continued to decline, and most market investors have lost something. But you have to know that this is a normal phenomenon in the market. There will not be a market that has been rising. We should stay calm at this time and wait for the market to come again.

:oMy friend, the market is cyclical. If your coins are lost in value, never sell them, just wait. Haste never leads to anything good. Kiss

I think you are not alone. Almost everybody lost in the past months more then half of their amount in cryptos. But you just have to know, thats normal. The hype last year was to damn high. And it was clear that there will be a correction. So if you dont listen to the experience trader, now you learn it on the hard way. For the next bullrun, you will know it. So the only thing you can do now is selling with loss, or holding untill the value of the coin will rise again. I prefer holding!

This is a bad situation for everyone who have entered the market during the strongest fomo at the end of the last year. Market can recover for months to achieve that level of support from investors. What to do? Let it be in crypto, because without any special circumstances there is no need to do that. You would be at a huge loss. Give it a time. If you are still owning shitcoins, wait for a pump or sell it and buy a solid coin. Keep calm and wait. You can lose everything or make a profit: nobody from us knows which way is market going to move tomorrow.

I am down by around 75% in my portfolio, it was 95% a few weeks ago and I am just hodling right now, nothing much else to do. I feel this industry is still very small and we are STILL in what I would call early adoption stages. I would invest also in some infrastructure coins as well, like EOS, ADA etc. I have some EOS, VEN and ICON, not much of each, but enough if they really moon, I might have a nice little windfall. I plan on trying to get more with some of my earnings, over and above my living expenses of course. Don't dump at a loss, whatever you do. We are still really at the beginning of the profit chain, patience and faith are what are needed right now.  Smiley

You can't earn all the moneys that in front of you. You should learn to calm down and do the right think you think, no matter what the result is.

This business has a high risk of loosing and it is part of the game. I know how frustrating it is to lost that much but what you can only do for now is to hold and wait until everything gets back to normal because selling at a low price is useless so i suggest wait at least until you get your investment back. There is always high and lows so I'm positive that you will get this back and you do not have another option to get back but to hold.

If you haven’t sold it, your loss should have recovered by one-third to one-half as of today, so don’t worry. If you don’t withdraw, you will always have a chance. Holding a coin is the best stop loss.

Do a short-term trading, in my opinion, this could be a solution to restore half of the money that has been lost. Do not expect too much to get bigger profits first, most importantly do short term trading to get a little profit but often get it. Once the initial capital returns, you can hold it for a long time until the crypto price movement increases sharply.

It's better than being robbed.

My first MEW wallet was hacked in January.. didn't even know it until February.. and they took everything.

Same here. I entered the market when all the crypto price is high, then after that it just keeps falling. I lost a lot of money now. But I still have faith in the crypto world, I will just wait for some more time and see how it goes.

Last year my account was worth $30,000, and I lost $20,000 in just over a month. But I'm sure it will come back. So I keep holding, not throwing away.

I think you should sift through several projects that you think are best, then sell other currencies, and then keep the few projects that you think are better. Waiting, I think that can reduce your property loss and retain Some hope.
