@Tranz

I have two suggestion for one of the next wallet versions:

- Adding automatic wallet backup system. I saw this feature in the btx and bsd wallet and it works nice. Maybe you can take a look at it.
- A "One-Click" Option to dump all addresses plus private keys from the wallet to a text file. Many people have problems to dump the keys over the console. A Option to do this with one click is a easy option for people.
(but before the wallet does this, a warning should come to keep this file safe).

Maybe you can think about these suggestions, whether they are useful or not.  Smiley

automatic backups to the same hard-drive are almost no value, automatic backups to any drive on the same system is not much more value. think house-theft or fire or children or lightning surge through your network cable.

automatic backups create massive complacency. people need to put active thought into their backup and restore procedures if they expect them to be there and working when needed.

then there is the *security* of your backups if sent elsewere. for example automate sending of all the wallet non-zero value privkeys via email somewhere may seem useful at first blush. but so totally prone to interception it's not funny.

That's all true you write. Yes, the backup should not be there to have a secure backup. It is more for it, if the wallet breaks, in case of a power failure (for example, when the pc is staking) or the system goes down and the wallet is still running. A wallet is sometimes very fragile. A real backup would have to be done either way. The automatic backup should make the wallet only user friendlier for daily use. It loads the wallet from the last automatic backup, in case the wallet breaks down.  Smiley

I've been trying to sell a couple of my imported vehicles for BTC, LTC or QRK.  Thinking I should add HBN to the payment options.  Wink  Wink

No need for auto backup. Really all you need to do is console command
Code:
keypoolrefill 1000
This will add in 1000 keys into your wallet.  Then you back that wallet up .This is good for over 1000 send. Or way more if you use specific change address.  Once you back that wallet up, most users are good for a very long time.  The worst you lose is a few address you may have saved off since that backup.

Already have "1 click" dump or close to it anyway.  File->export wallet to create text based wallet. And File->import wallet to import a new one.

Ok, that convinced me. Then the suggestions were not so good.  Smiley

Cryptopia just has a broken wallet right now. It will be fixed soon enough.

From the shortcomings I note that now this cryptocurrency can only be bought on the YoBit exchange, this caused a drop of doubt.

Those who have a corrupted wallet, I am working on a version of pywallet that will work with HBN. It should just be --otherversion=34  but you will have to specify the path as well.
For those that are fine. Please take the opportunity to save a wallet off line. And even keep a printed copy. I have added dumpwallet to the rpc commands so it is very easy to print it out and keep it on paper.

How long will it take before the tokens are added to the exchange? I would like to understand when to begin trading tokens on normal exchanges.

issues with transaction. Got a new motherboard and didnt realize my computer time was off. I had sent 40 hobocoins to a second wallet I had setup for stake with the time set wrong. As a result these coins wont confirm. I do a wallet repair and it pulls the coins back into my wallet. But on next boot it trys to send transaction back out. Any idea how to fix this? If not and for my sanity I may just write off 40 HBN and start a new wallet. Thank you

Your looking at about 48cent usd worth of HBN, at current price.  Not sure how much time is worth spending on it.

I don't think the time being off has anything to do with your issue.  Transactions are not stamped by the wallet, they are verified by the miners wither POS or POW - with HBN Im not sure, since it's doing both at this moment.  Once the transaction is in the blockchain, it doesnt matter what the wallet says.chain

It is more likely that you are connecting to an invalid chain.  I would verify you are on the correct chain, using the latest wallet and verified nodes connecting.  The fact that Cyptopia says they are having wallet issues, makes me concerned there may have been an unexpected fork.

No fork at all that I seen. All my nodes, in multiple different areas are 100% in sync.  Cryptopia was totally working for me up to the day they pulled it. My only guess is that it has to do with what their wallet says the balance is versus some internal accounting system.  But I can tell you the network and wallet are very strong right now. I see no issues anywhere.

I would like to know how the person with the 0,3 btc buyorder on craptopia is going to withdraw. Any news anyone? I decided to buy some for myself 3 weeks ago as I realized the price aint gonna go down anytime soon but withdrawals are disabled atm.
Tbh I wouldnt be suprized if craptopia are just staking the 2.3 million coins atm just as a little side venture.
