One weakness of this coin is community . There is one great dev but just one. Hope some good coders give hand to Tranz one day
Both tokioghetto and I have been around since ever, where is the weak community? we're not hbn developers, but other users have also been around for ages, trying to support the coin with all means necessary.

I really dont think community means a chat on btctalk. Ok bugreporting is good. Q&A as well . But everything is on the shoulder of Tranz when he was gone things went to oblivion. Now he is back so HBN lives again..

If you mean no new updates for a while... well the coin didn't die while Tranz took a break so... what is it you mean? As Tranz pointed out before, a good coin isn't defined by it's dev. We are all glad he is back, and to those who were watching yes there was a lot of movement yesterday hehe. I made a new POS server for someone and HBN was part of their portfolio request. Spreading the POS love.

This is my second attempt and I am glad I made it. I downloaded the wallet again and finally saw where I can download the blockchain from the website. http://hobonickels.info/HBNBlockChain.zip I received the folder called txleveldb and two other files, blk0001 and blk0002. I then restarted my wallet and I still see I have 4 years worth of downloads, and I don't have any connections. I named my conf file hobo.conf and here is what is inside of it ... listen=1 daemon=1 server=1 rpcuser=name rpcpassword=phrase port=7372 rpcport=7373 rpcconnect=127.0.0.1 addnode=69.85.86.195 addnode=74.196.48.62 addnode 5.9.48.68:7372 addnode 68.168.176.187:7372 addnode 69.181.165.105:7372 addnode 176.37.67.61:7372 addnode 87.98.159.143:7372 addnode 153.161.96.219:7372 addnode 83.34.249.234:7372 addnode 77.239.37.12:7372 addnode 68.106.230.16:7372 addnode 83.78.248.210:7372 addnode 80.56.92.208:7372 addnode 193.91.244.60:7372 addnode 50.34.126.230:7372 addnode 72.184.183.243:7372 addnode 173.50.96.220:7372 What I am missing here?

Just about two thousand more blocks until the first part of version 1.5.3 takes. The initial phase only allow PoW after a successful stake block. This will prevent flash mining. However since stake blocks are happening fairly regularly and quickly then even those on versions before 1.5.3 should be ok for a while. But they may they may go through some large re-orgs if fast PoW blocks come in from an old client. Worse they could be disconnected from the main network if they relays too many blocks.
So upgrade soon, if you haven't!

Updated and syncing now... a couple days worth to catch up with.
Will report back with results in the morning.
It is going to be interesting watching the hard stop until a PoS block is minted...

Thing seem to have gone pretty well from my perspective. I am noticing the block chain seems a bit cleaner right now. PoW is low, yet no flash miners! Still have a few older version connected, but they don't' seem to be causing any issues. So the next big test will be at block 6.0 million. Also I will begin working on the 1.5.6 which will be more internal changes and a few external. And then few more PoS mining changes. I think it will be around block 6.5(maybe 6.4) million where we will move to longer block times, and perhaps a few other forks at that time. In the mean time, just sit back and enjoy a bit smoother ride!

Having problems syncing my wallet now, been having problems starting today - 16 hours ago. Have I missed something? I'm having issues maintaining connections. Ive added the connections pulled from Crytopia's HBN peers.

Why blocks are generated more often than before all the time you have to merge (manually ofcourse)?... Please make automerge function!

Is this a new issue, or what? Do I need to upgrade my wallet? It is syncing some, but can't keep up, keeps loosing peers.

something is not right, I've been saying it for a day or 2 now, looks like a fork, but im pretty low on the technical side, make sense, my wallet will only sync when it connects to the others on the other fork

Not sure what is quite up yet. All wallets should be at block

Cryptopia is on the correct chain.
chainz.cryptoid.info does not appear to be. I will contact them.
I will release version 1.5.5.5 here tonight or tomorrow that will disconnect bad clients. Pleas ensure you are at version least version 1.5.3+ or preferably at 1.5.5.4 (soon 1.5.5.5).
I will also update the block chain download on hobonickels.info so we can ensure everyone is on the correct chain, who maybe having trouble.

I'm guessing height is the latest block? So your saying 5609925 My client says, when I go to Network, then Current Block info I get: Last Block Number: 5605101 POW Diff: 0.234283 POW Mh/s: 0.545091 Hash-to-Coins pool has the HBN coin offline - I didn't notice (I mine HBN too). I know I checked it, at least a week ago. It says wallet is fine with connections.
