is anyone else able to buy assets atm as mine have gone from list

The complete list have been removed temporary. A better list will be there in one of the up-coming releases.

The removal was to protect users from buying scam assets.
ok thankyou for your reply.

its only being removed visually, for now you can manually add in the assets that you trust.

you can find the full list on the asset exchange explorer. http://nextblocks.info/#section/assets_exchange
just do your research on forums first to verify legit assets.

Fuck Mt.Gox! Fuck Mintpal! Fuck Bter! FUCK kyc! Protect yourself use MGW! SUPERNET!

Pools defeat the very purpose and will end up centralising it badly. Keep your coins with yourselves.

They will serve another purpose.

Such as?

There's no point in mining a proof-of-ownership coin such as this one, pools offer no advantage at all, while it bears the same high risk it has for other coins.

Anyone claiming pools are good for NXT is either trying to scam you, or is completely clueless.

Purpose is the same as PoW pools, you are more likely to earn something. But the existing centralising problem in Bitcoin carries over.

Trying to decide whether or not to dump my Doge for Nxt. Thoughts?

I'm biased, but so is everyone in this thread and you knew that so here's my thoughts:

DOGE was a fun experiment and a *great* contributor to the awareness campaign for cryptocurrencies. It's a great community and I got nothing but respect for what they accomplished.
*But* everyone knew that DOGE was a short term venture. It has lasted way longer than anyone expected, but the truth is that it is just another coin. A coin with great adoption, I will give it that, but ultimately there is nothing you can do with DOGE that you can't do with Bitcoin or Litecoin.

NXT is a paradigm shift. NXT allows you to trade assets, invest in IPOs, send encrypted messages, use aliases instead of complex adresses and it's non-inflationary and doesn't require any energy. And this is just the status *right now*, NXT has barely begun rolling out the features like Smart Contracts, Dividends and Options in the AE, DACs, Freemarketplace etc. and NXT is also looking into implementing anonymity.

NXT is the only serious pioneer since Bitcoin.

Trying to decide whether or not to dump my Doge for Nxt. Thoughts?

Full no BS disclosure, I recently dumped all my doge for NXT (and unfortunately took a huge loss doing so.)

I was huge doge supporter for a long time.  I still love doge!  Unfortunately it got to the point where I felt I needed to cut my losses and move my money to somewhere else with better fundamentals.  Doge could very well make a comeback someday or it may slowly fade as more money gets bled away and better competiors emerge.  The Doge community is a huge asset but unfortunately the community alone cannot do everything.  The only reason doge got to the value it did was because of pumping by Wolong.  It very well may be pumped again in the future, but that is a straight up gamble and you might as well go play roulette if you are want to put your fate in the hands of a whale.  Doge has 5x as many coins now as it did during the original pump so someone would have to be willing to put down some serious cash to try to break past the previous high, or even rebound it significantly.  I both gained and lost a significant amount of money with doge and I won't say that I will never be back but for now I don't see any signs of the decline stopping so I am going to stay away.  I hope it does recover though because I would love to see it come back with the strength it had in Jan/Feb, I just think that might take a while for the cycle to complete.

In the meantime I do see more promise with NXT from an innovation standpoint that anything like DRK or the X11/X13s.  But you shouldnt take my word for it, because everyone in every thread on this forum is trying to push their coin so they make money, that is a fact.  I am just simply stating that I believe the odds are best in my favor to profit with NXT in the current crypto landscape so I am all in for now. I don't have eternal loyalty to any one coin though so I will be happy to switch my investment if the time comes that I think something will be better in the long term.

Good luck!

I just dumped almost everything for nxt.  Tired of nail biting on all of the shit coins.

Nxt already has anonymous transactions, Sms payments, coming out with atms, android and iOS wallets, their asset exchange, generating new currencies based on nxt in the exchanges... Their dev team is the largest in the crypto world..   now making it available for all exchanges to use, as previously the coding was an issue..

There is no other coin as advanced is nxt.  And they are just about to fire up their engines.. difference with nxt devs and other alt devs  is that the majority have been developing basic needs as they go... grasping at straws.. nxt has many developments ready and will be releasing one by one methodically - handful of straws..  haha

looking like it will not drop below 13000 ever again...  If I eat those words, I'll buy more.  (-;

Blatant lie.
There are many serious pioneers.
NXT is one of them.
There are loads of crapcoins.

The fact that real pioneers are just a few among a sea of crap, doesn't authorize any one of them to claim they are the only one.

I will grant you that there have been guys making very innovative and interesting modifications to the Bitcoin protocol.
I would Counterparty is the one that is closest, but again it's tied to a dinosaur (in crypto timeline).
In *my* opinion NXT is the only complete new pioneer. Like I already disclaimed: I am obviously biased.

Several reasons. Some simple, some complex and the result of long term progress in the background.
NXT is as active as you can get in terms of working on features, connections etc.
We are not fond of hype at all, we are busy making the best crypto-platform possible.
