is opening more browser Tabs has any effect on mining?

If yes, what account those new tabs should be? my account or new accounts?

Opening 1000 tabs is the same as opening 1.

Even in the event that an attacker gains more than 50% of the network's computational power, only transactions sent by the attacker could be reversed or double-spent. The network would not be destroyed.

need to get nxt onto an exchange

I'm back from the forest. Dedicated exchange on a premium domain name will be available within approx. 2 to 3 days.
Awesome! So what about the thread for trading guys? Do we really need it?

I think it will be better to play on the safe side and get advantage of these 2-3 days for familiarisation & testing!
I think we can wait a bit before start trading...

Very good. Right now Nxt market cap is 800'000 USD. I hope with a good exchange we'll reach 10'000'000 USD very soon.
Can you elaborate some more on the first number?

1 mil NXT is sold for 1 BTC. 1 BTC = 800 USD.

On my VPS I'm connected to 37 peers, but see only blocks up to 297. "Catching up" message is there forever. Restarted the server and waited 10 minutes, still only block 297.

Is there a difference in block 297 id on ur computer and on 88.198.210.245? If yes, then u r on other branch. Anyway u can delete all *.nxt files and restart soft. This usualy happens when a node that was feeding u with new blocks became disconnected.

Block count is the same on my server and 88.198.210.245, but my server has the "catching up" message, and 88.198.210.245 doesn't.

Is it possible that node 94.102.63.115 is causing all the havoc? It's -6000s off compared to other nodes, but has 10000 times the download bytes count.

p.s.

Can an account be logged in into more than 1 node at the same time?

Yes, 94.102.63.115 makes all this mess. 88.198.210.245 runs patched version.

Yes, one account can be logged on many nodes. For those who used to use Satoshi's client some things in Nxt look strange. But I like Nxt's approach.

Something very fishy is going on with the 94.102.63.115 node.

http://www7.pic-upload.de/24.11.13/pqh24r33ybhk.jpg

Look at the freaking download count and timer off. The download count is increasing every second.

Yes, it tries to share a new block but due to incorrect timestamp it's reject by other peers. And it tries to do it again and again. Let's leave it, it's a good stress-test for the network. If there is a flaw in Nxt it's better to find it earlier when there are not so many transactions.

How to blacklist 94.102.63.115?

U can't but u can remove it from active peers by click a purple tray icon. And right after that click it again in known peers list. But I bet it will try to connect again.

One guy is selling NXTs for BTCs and LTCs in a thread in the same section.

yes, have seen this also. any possibility to block an ip without being local?
(some hidden console arg?). just now i have blocked him via iptables on the server.

iptables -A INPUT -s 94.102.63.115 -j DROP

ps: does the time-treshold > 15 sec. also count for negative numbers? ( < -15) this one should be autoremoved from the peer or not?
