I restarted my client and now its stuck at block 0 and doesn't want to download any more blocks.  I even tried deleting the whole zip and restarting, no dice.

So what happened to Nxt, it failed seemingly from a lot of the past posts, and seeing that people are offloading them for practically nothing lol.

Nah it's working, a few glitches on the way though ! but it needs more organisation, pretty quick to use, and easy.

Crendore, delete all other nxt files that where created in the directory the .zip is. Restart, it will download the blockchain again.

How much NXT did the the original funders get per BTC? I'm wondering what people paid initially so that i can compare that to the prices it is listed at now.

EDIT: oh i see, a total of 21.62903652 BTC was donated, and that should be evenly distributed among the userbase, since there was 1 billion NXT created then that means that NXT initial cost was 0.00000002162904 BTC / NXT.

Most of the people on the forum have been selling it for about a 4650% markup at: 0.000001

So not cheap at all (in response to a post earlier in this thread).  It just seems cheap.

there was about 21 btc total for the original 1,000,000. but consider that some paid more than others cause later donators paid more per nxt

Just to confirm can you have the online wallet for mining to work or do you need the actual client?

This is the problem i have with POS currencies:
http://88.198.210.245:7876/?request=getBalance&account=10105875265190846103
has 10% of the NXT, and will just keep getting richer as time goes on and he/she/they collect 10% of all mined fees.  After a while they will have 11% of all the coins, and will collect 11% of all mined fees.  Wait long enough, and they will have all of the coins.

Seriously, please explain to me why this isn't a problem?

Edit: Also, nobody donated 10% of 21 BTC to that donation address.  So i can only assume that this 10% stakeholder is most likely the dev himself. Speaking of which, how many coins of the 1billion went to the dev?  I'm not trying to harass, i'm just asking for a bit of transparency here since i am now an investor as well.

- somebody can donate 2 or 3 or more times to the different address, and transfer all his NXTs to one addres after the start.

Did you bother search for that account # in this thread?  It is not a user's account.  It is the unclaimed accounts from the IPO.  If those users don't come forward by Jan 3rd(?), it rolls over to the XNT faucet.

Not specified accounts replaced with corresponding hashes that will be used to claim coins later. "10105875265190846103" is the account that holds funds with incorrect or missing hashes.

I'm going to start a separate thread for this soon, but I wanted to go ahead and post here first.

I'm selling 5,000,000 NXT and the price of the first 250,000 NXT is 20% cheaper than the current market price.  The prices I will charge for NXT are laid out in the following Google Document and will gradually increase as my supply decreases.
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AvdOna5wsG2RdDZ4M2R6WHRHczVHVHdUWnRGOWo3NXc&usp=sharing

The process is very simple.  All you need to do is send BTC for the amount of NXT you want to purchase to this address and include a "public note" of your NXT address.  Send the BTC to this address:
16bE9DcVfzYFigDcvQ8zR4xj43pSRShdou

Orders will be processed in the order they are received.  I recommend that you check the balance of the address so you will know how much NXT has already been bought before you make your purchase.  This corresponds with the "Total Balance of Wallet <= This Value @ This Traunch" column in my spreadsheet.
https://blockchain.info/address/16bE9DcVfzYFigDcvQ8zR4xj43pSRShdou

To limit your risk to me as a counter-party for the transaction, I suggest sending no more than 0.25 BTC at a time and waiting until you have received your NXT before purchasing more.

Excited to be involved in what is already becoming a great community!

4650% seems ok for a very high risk investment. The investors had no security whatsoever that Nxt will be ever launched.
