Holding is not bad as you think but i think when holding you need a lot of patience doing it. Not only you wait for the perfect time to sell. You are risking too your holdings because there are sudden events that your coins will go down. As for myself. I only pick and hold coins which i think can give me a good profit in the future but i can't pick right coins sometimes because there are times that i had wrong picks.

from my point of view, Holding at that time is not necessary and will not produce anything. The idea of finding something depends on what you hold. You will do research on the coins before deciding to get out and by doing that you will know whether the coins you save are still worth keeping or not.

I hold 3 coins espers-(3 years),insane-(2 years),html - (5 years)  and price is the same....no moon ....I dont trust to holding anymore,any suggestions? Holding is always very helpful but you held very shit coins no specific purpose,may be development team has discarded to bring development changes.in current market scenario holding is highly preferable.in my crypto portfolio I have some of the coins which at present are undervalued but I would hold them.so in a nutshell holding is always fruiful. |

You should have sold all your holdings when all coins almost went on their ATH on 1st-2nd week of Janaury 2018. Holding is not bulshit, its bulshit if you miss a good opportunity to sell your coins. Holding doesn't mean if you hold it for years it will grow x5 x10 x100 holding you hold your coins until such time that the price is good and sell it that time.

Make project analisys better, read some opinions on it, make some recearch in the field and then buy and hold  This was, is and will be a good way of investment anyway. |

Dear search for good community coin like ETH,Bitcoin,Neo etc. If you hold few Ethereum and few Bitcoin as you mentioned the time( 03 to 05 years ago) and now you sell out then imagine you may be millionaire so now again time hold good coin and sit down and take rest for few weeks or months.

Holding is not and will never be bullshit, all that one needs to o is to carefully consider the type of coins they are holding,if you hold low potential coins then they will probably not give you a good return

It is not bullshit, the reason why you are Holding is because you are thinking that the coin has a potential and you know that it can achieve higher price in the future, if you missed the opportunity or if the price was not like what you are expecting then that is your fault because you chose the wrong token or coin.

It depends on the coin. It is a bullshit only for shitcoins, where your goal is quick profit after pump. But if you found perspective coin which can change the world, so better hold it till the significant dates acording roadmap and probably oneday you will become rich

If you have not monitored the state of your investments for three years, then such a result is not surprising. investment as Coins HODL does not mean bought and forgotten. |

Never heard something about this coins before. Maybe it was just a bad choice to buy this coins. But hey as you say the price is still the same. Just sell this coins, get your money back or buy some new.
At least you lost nothing.

Because your coins is bullshit too,that is why there are no improvements,HOLDING good altcoins and tokens will give you a lot of profits but holding these shitcoins which doesnt have good working product/services wont give you anything even you waited hundreds of years.Do a lot of research find new potential coins or projects only invest to good projects,read whitepaper check the team,the current developments and im sure your holdings will give you much better outcome.
It is hard statement, but it is right  Selecting coins for investments isn’t easy matter for everyone. I am not risky and prefer more reliable ones. But even those coins that I think reliable fail me  |

I think it's different for everyone, depending on various factors including: personal cash flow, risk tolerance, patience, depth of understanding of market conditions and underlying tech including funds security.

I have several coins that we plan to hold (HODL) long term like ADA, XRP, BTC, LTC, BCC (BCH), DASH, NEM, NEO and XLM. Other coins we buy and sell back into BTC trying to grow our BTC amount. My advice - don't sell too quickly. Wait for a week or two for the coin to swing up, as the market goes in swings

If become bullshit becauae the coins that you are holding was not that good. I suggest to hold coins which are on the top of the board and highly profitable. Be wise on choosing what you want to hold if you dont want to regret it in the end. There are coins that has a good future, it is not too late to invest on it. |
