KNCMiner have their wafers: https://www.kncminer.com/newsTitan Moving Forward Our new Titan Scrypt Miner is finishing it’s first run in fabrication this weekend with wafers being sent to the next step: encapsulation. As so, we’re awaiting completion and the arrival of the finished chips in Stockholm, Sweden, where they’ll move into our testing and assembly phase, for delivery. We can also announce today that The Titan chip will use a PCB (board) with the same physical dimensions and footprint as the one we’re using on our Neptune product, while requiring substantially lower wattage. It is also delivered using our new modular design system. We’ll update this space as soon as we can announce first delivery of the new Titan Scrypt Miner, and will release exact specs after real-world testing has completed.
Yup. Pretty much the death knell for us poor little ole alpha-t pre-orders I'm afraid. Now, even if by some miracle AT manages to actually deliver by the end of next month the unit's will basically be little more than expensive-to-run heaters. Time for somebody to setup an AT-preorder-suicide-hotline toll-free number I'm thinking :/

We have secured key contacts in this industry, and hold a big advantage over any other crypto-currency company out there; this is a fact. In the near future alone, our batch 2 miners will be something special. They will be highly profitable and (bearing in mind all that we have learned through this process) we can’t see how they will not simply be the best on the market thanks to an engineering advantage which would be foolish for us to share right now
Rest Assured

I got forum banned for 3 days after i express my concern that this could be Terrorist funding there evil operations. Seems your letter is right.. You know, I have, recently, had thoughts not too dissimilar myself. Also, could the hardware be used for something espionage-esq? or is it too far away from that sort of repurposing? [/quote] I said a a long time ago that someone in Britain should call Scotland Yard (perhaps MI6 too) and let them know about our little friends.

KNC is a good example of just how long it actually takes to do something right. They reached tapeout when.. June I believe? Then went to the wafering process, and here we are in August they're working on the encapsulation process.
Why people thought AT could start tapeout in May, and deliver in July, is far beyond my comprehension. It just doesn't work that way, and it was pointed out many times. And here AT is again promising September delivery, despite claiming to re-start the whole process at the end of July (though I suspect it may be June). Even for KNC to make delivery of the Titan on schedule will be cutting it close, and this is their 2nd major tapeout/delivery for the year.

Will they even get to batch 1? =) hehehe
Well....My worst investment ever... This may have started as an investment but it turned out to be a mugging. There are no Vipers, no batches, never were. A lot of people here blame themselves for losing their money. You didn't lose it, it was stolen and that is not the same thing as losing money in an investment. I know this because I have had loser investments in solar water heaters, cattle, bull semen, airlines, etc. etc. you name it. Alpha Technology is nothing more that an ongoing conspiracy to defraud. They are still asking for payment for products that do not exist. And while I'm on the soapbox this morning (Can't farm, waiting for rain to stop) I have to ask of this community - Who is selling their Alpha gear, gear that is known to not exist, on eBay? Maybe it's Alpha? I would not put it past them to do something underhanded. My money is very hard earned and I stand to lose a bunch but I can not imagine selling my misery to an unsuspecting buyer to ease my own loss. Legally I will try everything possible to get my money back from Alpha but if all else fails I guess I'll have to take the hit. - M

There will however be cancelled orders, and one possibility with this proposition is to set up our own mining operation immediately after shipment
It should be noted

Never by September. Even if they started a new tape-out in June that means they won't get to a final mask until the end of Sept. Fabrication will take another month and then another month for assembly. But don't worry loyal customers you will get your miners just in time to heat your homes in December, this is a fact. And you will get 30% of the company but you only get 30% of the company after all debtors are paid and that is my final word on that.

Oh darn, it seems we will have to write this off as a loss. The only thing left to do is wait and see what actually happens. As hopeless as it looks like, there might be some really really small possibility that, ... there is still hope. There's nothing else to do anyways.
oh sure I can try asking for a refund, but that's also just as likely not to get anywhere.
