Yup. Icos haven't been as crazy as they once used to be. But this is also representative of the entire market as a whole. Nothing has gone up as much as it once did.

Now, almost all new tokens that first enter the exchange are falling in price first of all, and the connection with the fact that the crypto-currency market has now fallen very severely and practically all of the currency is also falling. Therefore, it is better not to sell prospective tokens obtained as a result of participation in ICO signatures campaigns at all, but to retain them until the market substantially rises.

Maybe ICO will dead soon. It because many investor doesn't trust again with ICO especially with many SCAM ICO. I think in 2019 ICO are impossible to be success again.

If nobody invests in ico and everybody invests after launch, who will invest in the ico and how do you expect the project to reach its set soft cap. The advice should be people should try to invest in solid project and not just hypes, with this you will get your profit on the long run.

I think this is pretty obvious for everybody who is following the markets.

The gold times of 2017 with easy x10-20 in just few weeks after the ICO are over. Now we must be much more careful. Still, finance and gambling ICO's are showing great ROI.

Yes situation has changed, but I think now the projects are filtered and there are some more organized and more promising ICOs on the market, people became more experienced in the area, so I think that it is good trend. For me now it is better time for ICO investments as so called "boom" is over. I am always following www.icoguide.com not to miss good projects.
Because people have more experience in the field, they usually focus on potential projects, this causes the value of the token to not be inflated too much, profit from ico is very little in 2018, I have the feeling people are gradually wanting to abandon investment in ico. I no longer see the boom somewhere in the field, investors have been too careful and no longer invest a lot of money while scam projects become more, everything is helping us see a bad future about ico, perhaps early abandonment of the ico project is a wise decision at this stage
People do already have the awareness which it wont really be just the same compared where it was just starting where most investors on ICO's is commonly being hyped up thats why the price do rose up for how many times in fold and make easy profits but now true value wont even hit up on its ICO price where when it would hit up exchangers most of their prices arent even breaking even on the price of the public sale which anytime it wont really be profitable into investors and i agree that its different from the year where ico is just new and the ico nowadays.

Kinda feel same about this year ICOs too, well i hope there are many serious ICOs that want to change a little of our world into a better place for human kind. Kinda hard to holding some coin/ token that provides from any ICOs campaign or whatnot. The prices would definitely falling down like you've said.

I also feel the same, ICOs in 2018 is not like ICO last year, even ICOs that reach hardcap after entering the market, price drops below the ICO price, and many ICO projects failed this year, last year ICO projects that reach hardcap even softcap when entering market, price still above the ICO price, I don't know why this year is like this but probably because of last year's influence where the market trend is bullish.

I suppose in 2018, ICOs are definitely different from the past year ones,  because of all those regulations, and also, because of all those opportunities, that were opened to a scammer projects!

Dont judge the whole with the experiences of a few, I can spend all day listing good projects that has gone x5 after ICO sales, I can remember Quarkchain that even did over x20, so dont judge the whole because of a few.

There is bound to be drop in the prices of tokens as soon as they are listed on exchanges (with a few exceptions to very high profile icos) because  of the bearish market. Most investors are holding on to their fiats. A direct contest to what was in 2017.

We know that ICO coin will be dumped at their first release to the market. You suggest to buy on the dip after dumping, but most coin will stay in that price and not likely to recover. It depends on the people support on that coin to make the price rise again,so find some ICO that has high rate for succeed.

This is truth but there are some that has done well in the market after the lunch. There is going to be a lot of things that are going to happen that will show people the reality and the nature of cryptocurrencies. Buying after the ico when a project is llunch into the market is far better

this is my own opinion but it may help others.

I have found that all the ICOs i have invested in have launched at almost the ICO price but in a few days dipped below the ICO prices by half or 5X for some.

With this i have discovered its better not to invest in an ICO but wait for the launch and the DIP to buy it at the corrected prices made by market forces.
Its just too hard to tell the real or recommended value of a token in an ICO these days.

Hope this helps to the new investors thinking of ICOs

Not only for Ico investors but for bounty hunter as well, I have second thought selling when it hit the market, thinking it will go up in the future, but unfortunately, it's the other way around, it's still recommended to buy in Ico because of the bonus, some ico offer as high as 50% on their presale bonus.

2017`s ICO aren`t the same and they shouldn`t be..
Potential investors are more aware of dangers now, more educated and experienced.
Some usefull filters have been implemented in these period as well.

Insta price dips are normal, main game is begining after that initial "mandatory" dip..

Today falling of the prices practically for all types of cryptocurrency is observed. In 2017 it wasn't observed. It is necessary only to wait for growth as to sell at the present prices only to itself in damage.

Yes, I also noticed this for a long time. But it depends on the market and not on the ICOs themselves. Even good projects have recently been listed on the exchange with a price lower than the ICO. I do not think that this is an excuse not to invest, just need to choose the most top projects

Of course, it`s changing! I hope in 2019 ICO will change radically. The community must find the way to finish this scam carousel.

That's right, ICO in 2018 became less profitable than they were in 2017. Perhaps people have become more advanced and do not buy at a high price when enter the exchange.

Not the fault of ICOs, the whole market is bleeding. New currencies always need to face tough time if they don't have a strong backup in the market, and during these days it is hell difficult for ICOs/projects to maintain their ICO price after the ICO. This means even the good projects can't deliver what they supposed to do
