verify e-mail and mobile phone number

Thanks but why does it say passport? I unchecked account verification and now the Join button appears but wasn't sure whether e-mails would be verified.

verify passport need when you are input or output USD to bank

There are 4 different levels, but the email verification is used internally...we will remove the email verified from there as it causing some confusion

as a community usually you want to be sure you don't have fake people joining your group, so you can control level of verification. If you don't mind don't put anything, but if you want a bit more security then set SMS verify, and for even more verification you can insist that members of your community have already been ID verified using government ID, and bank verified for AML purposes if a utility bill has been sent to us. We put the control into the community creators hands, but you don't have to worry about checking it. However, if you wanted to create your own verification, you can create a member roles called "verified member" and they can only be that kind of member if you upgrade them.

The 3 different levels for a community to control who joins them will be:

SMS verified
Government ID verified
KYC verified

I'm matching up with bitcointalk accounts so there's some assurance there.

But I noticed when I'm approving members, their names are appearing (as entered in login info) not there public username (as entered in first box under "Shared with Contacts") and I have no way of discovering what their public username is. I figured it should be the other way around? At the moment I can't cross compare people on the approvals list to their bitcointalk account because of this.

@btbrae - I think when you are running a community, especially in the physical world in shops and restaurants etc, then the real name appears, not their handle or nickname etc. That's what we allow for here.

The shared with contact allows for 10 different "business card" profiles so you can decide what a contact should see about you, and a default one that someone sees when they first become a contact.

By default a community only sees your real name (or whatever your signed up name is) and picture, nothing else about the member unless they want to volunteer the info. I don't want to change this, since this opens up the system for fraud etc. If someone is not bothered about being verified they can use whatever name they want, but if they want to join a club or shop or whatever that says they need to show their real info, the community should have some assurance that what they see is real. However, a community can decide to take anyone in by not stating any verifications needed, and the user can decide not to put his real name in there. There has to be both freedom and control, so we allow for both..Smiley

In your community, you can create a form that you can use to add more info about a member. That is where you can ask or manually add a member's forum name

Forgot to add, you have complete freedom to the info you gather and store on members, via the API - We compartmentalize the directories of info using Mongo, so easy to do, and if you have a really big data set, we can always move it off onto another server of your choice (preferably AWS...)

So just some small things:

The community dashboard throws an exception when updating.

The points for actions doesn't seem to be working yet or it's not clear whether you need to create an amount of points first.

I made two separate accounts and there seems to be some overlap on details if I fail to logout correctly, also logging in with a different e-mail returns to the previous login. Probably not something you're going to get a lot of but worth noting.

A couple of questions:

Any plans for built-in messages or reaching out to customers through e-mail as a community owner/staff (ie. without adding contacts)?

How do referrals work? There doesn't seem to be a lot of information available on them.

@btrae

- Fixed the community dashboard error, but not saving as it should yet.
- For actions and points, if you want to award them then you have to add them to your points balance via the TagBank section before hand.
- We don't account for 2 accounts..usually we encourage only one account per person, but we will take a look at that
- There is a built in messaging system, but we haven't spent a lot of time on it just yet. We are just adding notifications into the web apps, so after that we shall return to messaging and see what we can do with that.
- When you add a new tagvert to your community, it automatically emails everyone in that community with the tagvert info.

Other than that we may add an email marketing module (for a fee paid in TAG), so you can email the members - however, their email info is kept private and not shared with communities. It's up to you to gather more info that the member willingly wants to give, but user privacy is important to the system. As a user yourself I am sure you would rather have control of your data. The only info a community can see about you IF you join their community is a picture and a name and they don't have that if you decide not to stay in that community.

We will put up more info on the referrals system, as well as some tutorials - however, i can explain the core it -  the main way of paying referrals is via a tagvert. You create one, then on the second part of it, you can decide if you give rewards to the person that takes or uses the tagvert (eg: someone uses a 20% discount coupon for a restaurant and they get something on redeeming that coupon), or you can give the person that shares that coupon facebook a reward if someone else takes it and uses it. You can use both rewards methods together if you want. Rewards can also be paid via the 3 actions on the site (someone joining your community, someone writing a review, or someone just visiting you community every day. They can also be rewarded in the same way for doing something on your own site or app and there is a small sdk to integrate with your site. Finally, you can simply use our REST API to do whatever you want..Smiley

We do pay referrals on the Tagbond site if you share your id (eg: http://tagbond.com/1 is mine), and you can also share your community ID like (eg: http://tagbond.com/c/1 is vtc), which will add them to your community on registration, AND you earn the referral.

Dabs.. funny you should mention that...we probably will add another level for face to face verification, something that Bangko Sentral need here and no doubt may be used in other situations...we haven't done it yet, but we will in the next few weeks in advance of our license being issued.

Seems the typhoon has missed Manila in the main. We are lucky. Still haven't heard from the provinces that were hit, but seems the bad news will come when the storm has passed and the emergency crews get out to the affected areas.

Just to give someone an idea of the system works - here is a VTC Tagvert created, which offers access to the VTC software training library of over 100,000 training videos for month for 100 TAG, and gives a 20 TAG reward to anyone who shares it on facebook or another site where that results in a sale.

http://tagbond.com/d/527c6c2b85c657a56ea269ac is the ad and the way I would share it on facebook is by adding my id on the end like this

http://tagbond.com/d/527c6c2b85c657a56ea269ac?u=1

If you want to see the ad, you can click on the above ad, or simply search for VTC at the tagbond.com front page.

The exchange is allready much better since I checked it the last time. Great ^^.

You might be aware that people who use the EURO use the " , "  between the whole entities and the cents, for example €1,50 .  At this moment, they should for example fill in 1.50, which they are unfamilliar with. Allthough this doesn't is a big deal.. Just wanted to tell you this Wink.

http://tagbond.com/d/527c6c2b85c657a56ea269ac?u=12971

Or even better, I make it descriptive like this

VTC for 100 TAG per month. Get access to VTC payable in bitcoins or tagcoins.

Ok, someone click that link so I get 20 TAG.

Without looking at the source code, and only going by the description, I came up with the following numbers:

After 90 days, there will be 972,000.000000 TAG. Then the block reward goes down to 29.7 per block.
After 1 year, there will be 3,830,067.828000 TAG.
After 2 years, the block reward will be 27.961960, meaning only 10,066.305757 per day, and 905,967.518166 in that block era. The total TAG will be 7,509,215.701606 TAG.

By the time the block reward is 3 TAG, it will be 57 years later, and we will have a little more than 87 million TAG coins.

Does that look right to everyone? (years and months are of course dependent on block solving time, which depends on miners, but I'm making the assumption that we solve blocks every 4 minutes.)

Exchange is now open for BTC/TAG at the moment at:

https://trade.tagbond.com

We have been told by Standard Chartered Bank that our 9 accounts will be open by Monday or Tuesday, so people can transfer over foreign currency to buy. However, if anyone wants me to fund their account in the next few days using Paypal I can do it for USD and PHP via my Zeresoft account. Not going to be offering Paypal on the site tho..for obvious reasons..Wink
